    I wish that you explained more about setting up your gland to pass the wires through the roof.
    The light bar I got has two huge connectors on both ends so I’m thinking I’m gonna have to cut and slice those wires because I can’t fit them through any gland with the connector on.

    When I first watched this video I had no idea what the CCP was. I searched and found out the Transit supports up to 3 CCP terminals. I looked and have CCP 1 & 2 on my barebones Transit. One is rated at 60amps and the other is 175amps (or so the Transit forums say). I might wire in there for the house battery charger if I can verify that my alternator can handle it at idle.

    Would you consider using a floor switch for the light bar that could be turned on with your left foot vs. left hand? Maybe like the old old dimmer switches on older cars and trucks? Then the light could be turned on and off while driving with little distraction. Just a thought.

    I was just looking closer for detail, and I notice your gland for your wire entry is actually facing the wrong way the slope end the gland should be facing in the direction that the vehicle is in motion. But maybe your wire wasn’t long enough to where you could turn it around and make it go through like the backside have the slope end of the gland facing forward
    But I don’t think he’s showed it I would make sure that the wire that goes through your gland is sealed up really good keep out water intrusion.
    I’m not trying to criticize or anything. I’m following you and I’m actually your van and our van and my wife her name is Van. Anh neguyen. I ordered the same rack same solar panels same insulation, the same light bar will go up. Unless I decide on a curve and have someone make me special brackets so I can fit the curve.
    Like I said earlier bought the same rack, those racks are expensive $1425. And then I got like six solar panels bought two by accident.
    But the extra solar panels they’ll be good for when I’m parked in the shade I can extend them away from the van to keep the Bluetti AC200 Charged

    • @RichBuilt
      @RichBuilt  3 года назад

      Thanks Billy! Always open to input :) That's awesome that you're pursuing a similar build! I'm sure with a little bit of tweaking to the 8020 cross bars you could fit at least 5 panels up there. I would play round with the dimensions to see if it would work. Also, good eye on the entry housing. It is facing the wrong direction, I didn't want to splice and extend the cable, but I did make sure to seal the housing and ensure everything was water tight.

    I'm assuming the light bar only works with the engine/ignition on. Are you planning on installing lithium battery bank, or are you relying exclusively on the AC200 for off-grid power? Nice work BTW. I've been dreaming of building one of these for a while, and I will be using your build as a starting template. Cheers!

    • @RichBuilt
      @RichBuilt  3 года назад +1

      Hi Anthony, Thank you! I plan to use the AC200 to power the entire build and should suit my needs perfectly. The lightbar works independently of the Van lights and can be turned on while the car is running and when the ignition is on Accessory.

      @@RichBuilt Sorry, that's what I had meant-Engine/Accessory ON-haha. Nice! I have two EcoFlow Deltas, but I am still thinking of putting in an onboard lithium battery bank. Since you're not installing an AC unit, it's probably not necessary... but nice to have. Thanks!

    Did you take the top part of the seatbelt pillar off? Or just shimmy the wires through there? Can't seem to figure out how to fix it.

      Hey Alex, I think I pulled it off as much as it would allow. I don't think I was able to take it off, but just enough to slide the cable through. See if you can take it completely off and fix it or see if there's already a fix for it online somehwere in the forums.

I have it wired the same way you have yours wired, and I wired the switch to only turn on the blue low-light when switched on in order to avoid that draining the battery.
