Happy Retirement To Mr Norton!! Enjoy Yourself And Your Family!!
The sport will be duller when he retires. A great character. Straight as the day is long and did not get the big rides he deserved.
Straight as the day is long 😂
You missed your vocation in life you should of been a top stand up comedian.
A treble on his final day.Good luck Franny.
Long live the King.
All the best franny you've been a great representative of the city of Liverpool for years, all the best in the future mate.
Lovely bloke and great jockey, good luck in your new path franny.
What a lovely lovely man who can not be lost to the sport what a great jockey coach he would make he'd have so much to offer those young kids starting off a hard working jockey who always gave his all best of luck what ever you do 🏇👍🏇
Such a fantastic man.
Thanks for the winners mate, owe you big
Mark Johnston saying he would have loved to see Franny winning loads of group winners for him well if had not replaced him off the horses when they went to big races along with Joe Fanning always replaced with so called better jockeys, Good Luck Franny Top Man
Great jockey!! I remember him in a race at Musselburgh many years ago when the odds on fav went ahead by 10 lengths with 3 furlongs to go and seemed a no contest but franny kept on giving it his all and pipped the fav on the line to win. A great example for young jocks. Well deserved retirement, enjoy!!!!
If you ever wanted a jockey to go forward on a horse Franny was and still is the man for the job.
Franny was a great low weight option for a trainer in big handicap races . A good character
What a fella. 👌
racing will miss franny and not be the same especially at chester used to go to may meeting and franny always bobbed a few winners in just shows how racing has changed over the years not always for the best how he was right when he said most of todays jockeys could not lace the boots of the likes of lester willie and pat just glad to say i was around in that era thats when it was the best by none the 80s and ninetys enjoy your retirement franny and thanks for all the memories
Todays jockeys lack character and personality, this is not sleight on them, but a comment on todays society. You cannot afford to have character for the fear of offending and the repurcussions.I truly hope Franny has a wonderful retirement and enjoys his family now he has more time on his hands.Good luck to the wife having this ball of energy home more.Thank you for all the Chester memories.
