I could listen to Mick Vials talk through his fishing all day.....really explains his thinking and doesn't talk over your head...anybody from a beginner to a full flight matchman can get something from him...really relatable. A class act.
I really like that format with the split screen watching the tip while Mick is talking. Makes it feel like I’m fishing, too. Not just useful information but a very enjoyable watch, too
Thank you Mick because that was one of the most informative tip fishing videos I have watched. I would say I’m a competent tip angler on natural venues but what you have explained in a very simple fashion will certainly improve my tip fishing and everyone else I should imagine. Fantastic stuff and not filled with plugs on Nufish gear but no one would mind even if it were only an explanation of the company feeders that you were using. Great stuff and I hope there are more in the pipeline. Chub fishing time soon Joe lol
@NuFish I need to get back onto the canal circuit. Spent 25 years fishing matches on the Bridgewater, Leeds Liverpool and Trent and Mersey canals plus Nationals on various others 😀
@NuFish I did. You gave high quality competition grade tips, no nonsense groundbait infos and a very logical and analytical analysis of the peg... in an enjoyable way. Exactly what we don't often have on the continent !
Mick on Aire & Calder today, Tommy at Ravenfield yesterday, are you sharing information. Very informative video will watch again there was so much to take in will try these tips on Fosse Dyke next week. Thanks Mick & Joe.
Great info there thanks, I use that rod for feeder fishing canals - it's perfect for it. I only consider pinkies for winter whip fishing so need to rethink that. Any tips on targeting bream but avoiding eels would be welcome!
Good vid & very informative! With dead fluoro pinkies being the bait on the day, what about fluoro mags? Used alot on the broads where I fish! Any thoughts Mick?
Mick my local canal is relatively unfished for bream do you think fishmeal groundbaits would work as its not normally used on there or would you go for a natural cereal based mix?
If you want to target bream exclusively then go for a fishmeal. They seem to love it even in waters that don't see it. but if you want to catch a mixed bag perhaps try a cereal mix
It's all on a Doncaster card, All for £35 for the year, Not £12 a day, And once you've bought your card for the year £35, You can go as many times as you want, People don't realize what they've got on their own door step, One thing about natural and club venues, You have to be prepared to learn how to fish them, It would be great if somebody did a series on club venues, And make people realise what great fishing they have on their own doorstep.I should have done this years ago.
We run the NDAA Norwich and district anglers association around the Norfolk broads same price £35 a year with brilliant fishing so much for so little like your Doncaster card. Good comment mate
@@Auqalungangler Now I have retired, I try to go fishing as much as i can, And to do that, I try and make it as easy as i can by going local, And joining local clubs and taking just what I need instead of the kitchen sink, I wish I had done this years ago, I've never been fishing so much and enjoyed it so much, And because you're going more you become a better angler, You don't have to travel for miles, And take tons of gear with you, Fishing is about going fishing and enjoying it.
Too many people pick up a rod , go to a commercial fishery and catch beaten up fish with no skill involved . There's no better feeling than catching fish on natural waters using the skills you've learned with experience.
@@Stewbo1 I couldn't agree with you more, You won't catch 100 lb of fish, But the fish you catch will be in a lot better condition, And you won't need Tons of bait, And to me it's far more enjoyable, Plus once you've joined you can go as many times as you want, Less cost, Less travelling, Less Gear, All ants up to more Fishing, It makes sense to me, Why make it hard for yourself, And because you go more, and you have to put a bit more thought into what you're doing, you will become a better angler.
I often fish canal at Great Heck always bag up with 50lb plus. I fish with feeder. Mirfield club do a lot of matches on there. Down stream loads of clubs got rights all way down to Goole

:)
Can you do a feature on the erewash canal please 👍
We will keep it in mind. We failed on there once already 😂
Love the tip camera action , apart from the big furry arm blocking the view.
Least you know the bites aren't faked :)
😆
