Remember this kid was Captain at Bishops and a Headboy, he's been in leadership positions his whole life. Even in Grade 7 he was already Captain, there's literally a video on RUclips of him giving a speech to his team in the 7th grade at Bishops. He's not gonna come off as being phased by pressure or extra humble, part of the reason he's special is his confidence and arrogance, which is what you need to be on THAT level. Pollard was the exact same, people wanted him to be this scared little boy, but he wasn't phased.
The essential element of Bok captaincy is getting all the different personalities and backgrounds working together and being themselves- Siyas superpower and John Smit had the ability. Pienaar they had to cull better players(Strauss) and build the team then Transvaal around him - in a few words it’s about naturally putting other’s interests ahead of yours for the benefit of all stakeholders
@@user-jw4yc3ec6y What I have heard from people who played with him, is that he is the fisrt one to help other players. Even guys who compete for his position at the Junior Boks and WP. He is always willing to help others improve thier game. He always put his team mates first. Atleast that is what I have heard from players who played with him.
Important to notice that he set clear boundaries for journalists: 'For my friends I am Sach, for you I am Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu, the rugby player'.

Dr Danie Craven famously said all successful Springbok rugby teams should have a Jewish player in, Sacha is a patrilineal Jew with a family of famous anti apartheid activists alongside thousands of other proud SA Jews who fought hard against the regime.
Yeah, that struck me as a bit strange too, but in his defense he was articulating an answer to a question about his public and private life., so he gets away with it on a technicality 😅
He is articulate in interviews but still require media training. By speaking about trust and raising an expectation after playing 20min is just a stretch to far.
Dad and grand dad actually South Africans- his dad born in England because grand dad Barry Feinberg was living in excile due to anti apartheid activism
