Remember this kid was Captain at Bishops and a Headboy, he's been in leadership positions his whole life. Even in Grade 7 he was already Captain, there's literally a video on RUclips of him giving a speech to his team in the 7th grade at Bishops.
He's not gonna come off as being phased by pressure or extra humble, part of the reason he's special is his confidence and arrogance, which is what you need to be on THAT level.
Pollard was the exact same, people wanted him to be this scared little boy, but he wasn't phased.

The essential element of Bok captaincy is getting all the different personalities and backgrounds working together and being themselves- Siyas superpower and John Smit had the ability. Pienaar they had to cull better players(Strauss) and build the team then Transvaal around him - in a few words it’s about naturally putting other’s interests ahead of yours for the benefit of all stakeholders

@@user-jw4yc3ec6y What I have heard from people who played with him, is that he is the fisrt one to help other players. Even guys who compete for his position at the Junior Boks and WP. He is always willing to help others improve thier game. He always put his team mates first. Atleast that is what I have heard from players who played with him.
