    I am surprised nobody is considering playing Mannie at 10 and Sasha at 15! Excpet for the kicking of tee, Mannie has played really well. With Sasha at 15 taking care of the kicks, I think Mannie will play even better without the pressure of kicking penalties/conversion.

    I prefer RG off the bench. He, like Kwagga, seems to just do better as an impact player. I am not opposed to starting with Moerat and ending with RG and his offloads when the game is more open at the end.

      RG is the safe bet, you rather start strong and have the bench just keep the momentum. It’s easier for youngsters to get their bearings coming in against an opposition that’s been worn down. It’s actually why kwagga is so deadly cause he menace so imagine being tired and now you gotta deal with a relentless menace

    Overall a great lineup. I think Reinach will start though and Grant coming on in the first 10min of the second half. He’s an immense player and brings a lot of impact, so think Williams will come on the bench to force tired forwards of Australia to run around a bit

      Reinach can do the same off the bench. Grant Williams has improved his game management a lot, like box kicking. He deserves the start, when he came on for Faf in Durban, we were so much more dominant. And Reinach is old, give the start to Grant, because he has a real chance of making that 9 jersey his going forward.

I think Rassie is just trying to find where the future talent will come from (because we've seen Orie and knows he's not it). • @dreammaker9642
      @dreammaker9642 Месяц назад

      This isn’t about rewarding players, this is about fielding whatever team you feel are the best choices to win. He’s probably going to put one here and one on the second test or one for AU and one will stay home and rest for the AB. My guess Am might head to AU cause so far from the WC Kriel earned that 13 jersey and shows no sign of slowing down so he might keep him for the AB. Since both are absolute machines you can alternate them for your two biggest opponents and have one rest for the AB. Then against Argentina you got more room to wiggle and you can bring both. Bringing one and keeping the other for the big game against the AB is what makes the most sense to combat travelling fatigue. Time difference is a bitch so hosting the AB is a good opportunity to have rested players ready to pummel and use your home ground advantage to the fullest.

We really need to start putting together complete performances or at least start looking more clinical. I'd be happy with a one point win against our traditional bogey team but I reckon we need to go over there and make a statement. Wouldn't mind Sacha getting a good 30 odd minutes. He's pretty much an unknown factor to the Aussies and Kiwis so letting him loose from the bench I think will take some pressure and spotlight off him which is conducive to a confidence player like Sacha.

      @dreammaker9642 Месяц назад

      @@jameswyatt4443 Pollard is also on the way out he doesn’t need to reinvent himself. He works great with Leroux because he gets the pressure taken off and can focus on exploiting what he is good at. Look at the second test we lost Leroux early and we struggled hard on attack took us toll half the second half to wake up. Granted their were other factors but we were lucky Sasha took great control else things would have been much worse. Yes Leroux isn’t as showy as willemse or Sasha and you don’t notice what he does but he is incredibly good at the little things he does. Honestly I encourage you to look back especially in World Cup high pressure conditions and focus on the little things like having your wings in strings, exploiting play making and especially notice how many tires he sets up for others by opening up the space. See I learned a while ago sometimes the best players are the ones you don’t notice but that consistently create the showy tries Kolbe scores or mapimpi scores but if you look closely where then opportunities arises from it’s usually from him. He’s incredibly good at the little unnoticeable things which is incredibly hard to do. During the finals the bulls really struggled without him and Rassie isn’t an idiot there’s a reason why he’s been holding that 15 jearsey and still does.
      Now it’s true he won’t make next cycle but got replacements but why discard something that still works fine and rush the replacement. Let him do what he does while the youngsters cook. Rather than just say he’s old he must not be selected with Rassie having proved himself twice now ask yourself why is Leroux still there? Then look closely at the little things and see how they accumulate and become game changing after 80mins. Why force Handre to change his style when you still have Leroux and you still have a working system and you even have great youngsters cooking. By trying to change everything at once that’s how you ruin a perfectly good thing, it’s a classic.

      People sleep on declerk cause he ain’t as fast when it comes to getting the game going and recycling ball but here’s the thing one of the most successful season I’ve had we had a combination of one slower pace scrummy and one fast pace and aggressive with both good at the tactical stuff. What that ended up doing is having the slower one set the pace by starting and the fast one come in and suddenly pick up the pace as the other team starts feeling the heavy legs. If done right it can be deadly and I think partly Williams had the glow up he had because of this, Ireland couldn’t keep up with him the moment he came on. Had he started idk if he’d have had the same impact

      @@dreammaker9642 we know but we can't keep playing Faf every game. We have many more scrumhalves that we should be giving s chance, faf is old now. He won us 2 World cups, what more do you want from him? Let him go as a legend he is. And let the new scrummies get their chance.

    • @dreammaker9642
      @dreammaker9642 Месяц назад

      @@tsaki_titan Look y’all need to understand something and you may not like it but it’s how it is. Test matches are not about rewarding players they are about winning. When you field a team or even selecting a squad you not thinking who should be rewarded and get to play, you trying to field the best team possible with the highest chance of winning. When you have small tests like Portugal then you can reward and test players see how they do but when you versing Australia in Australia that’s not the time to be experimenting and rewarding players that’s the time to field a winning team. Sometimes players play well and get selected not as a reward but because the coach believe they the best fit. Take Masukun for example (forgive spelling) great fly half and arguably would deserve a shot but it would be pointless because he is the same age as pollard and nowhere near as good (doesn’t have nearly the same record). So now why would you field two old fly half’s and come the time they retire next cycle you left with your dick in your hands. So instead Sasha gets a shot cause he’s also shown great potential but has 3-4 WC cycles in him. So I’m not saying you shouldn’t select players that are doing well, I am saying select them because you believe they are the best fit not to reward them. Simple reason for that is a reward is for after the work is done, while getting a cap means the work is just starting. Experience is extremely important in big test matches cause remember they are pros they can all play well but the point is when sht hits the fan an experience player will take charge and keep everybody in their game, if you fail to do that you lose 50-0
