This was a great video. My older /left side Keurig just died - it coughs & water can't be brewed for some reason, so I am in the market for a new one. Sometimes, it just pays to stay with the originals & keep things simple. The more features a product has, the more areas that can break down. These units have stood the test of time.
I have the supreme plus and it been a little over a year and the screen doesn't work half the time. it seems no deed descaling every month and now it doesn't work Half the time (wont turn on) Im so thankful you made this video. Im going to buy the elite. My daughter has my old classic and it's going on 8 years and going strong! Thank you again
Those are both seriously solid K cup coffee makers. I do find the 5 needle tastes better for sure. The brew your own coffee pod on the 5 needle works amazingly well, very tasty. Sorry Keurig, I'm a whole bean snob now with my Cuisinart conical grinder and Ninja duo pro coffee maker thanks to Just a Dad ✔️. Kind of expensive but (macho man savage voice) my coffees are sooooo freaking good now. :)
I have and still have a Keurig-Elite I've had for at least 10-12 years never had break down. For descaling I use "CLR" after service just run two or three tanks of water foe the flush.
I have the one on the left im not happy with the water tank the cover does not follow the shape of the tank and im concerned bugs can get into the water ?? if i knew this i would not have bought one .
@@JustADad possibly they got too hot that there were most likely a danger, but I doubt that cuz they're still making them. Sounds like a question to either ask on their website or called Keurig itself and ask a representative or possibly one of their technicians. Also they may not even know why the company change the temperatures
I thought Elite retails for $190 and Classic $150. Black Driday deals are $119 and $80 respectively. Are they any good deals? Trying to find the fastest and most reliable for hot water. Elite reviews on the Target app show leaking.
Question. I just received my k supreme plus smart, and it has a horrible smell to it. Do all the new supreme models have this horrible smell? And did the elite and classic have the bad smell? I drank a cup from the supreme and my liver hurt for a day, drank from my old phillips latte go no liver problems. Tried the supreme again after 100 oz of water rinse and 100 oz of distilled vinegar then more water etc. And guess what, my liver hurt again. And the smell is still there. Please let me know what you know.
How much time does the Elite's auto-on actually save for that first cup of coffee? We have an Elite now, but need a new machine, and am interested in a Supreme or Cafe smart model, but they don't have auto-on. Can an un-warmed up Supreme brew the first cup almost as fast as a warmed up Elite?
It’s so annoying how many models they have with a different, slight changes, and then some models are specific to some retailers. It’s so obnoxious just like buying a damn mattress. So these new ones, you don’t have to wait two minutes for it to heat up? I have never seen a slim looking Keurig until I looked at target, but I know just at work, there were a couple that I thought were identical, but one of them never needs to heat up. Although it still looks like the big ones. And then I went to one store and before you even use it you have to wait for it to heat up. It’s so annoying. But does that make it brew faster? I’m so confused because of all these different models man. K-Iced plus is $80 right now but target reviews say that the damn thing falls apart and only works for like 2 cups of coffee. Review after review. And the reservoir is in the very back so it looks very hard to get to. But it would be nice if I don’t have to wait two minutes for it to heat up. Do you have a suggestion on what is a good solution for me? I’d prefer one of them that thin but it doesn’t have to be. Really I just want hot water brewed as quickly as possible and I don’t want to have to wait for the water to heat up. But I want it coming out as fast as possible. And I want something that’s reliable. I like the hot water button but I guess you can’t just have everything good in one. TVs are kinda like that too. It’s maddening.

I gave my parents the elite and it's been more reliable than my 5 needle smart maker. I had to reset the thermostat twice so far
Also when you run just hot water with the 5 needle , you get coffee grounds in it from prior use.....bad design.....
@@mikenyc1589 yeah I don't like that either.
Hi Dad, I really enjoy ur videos. I just ordered the elite, TY
Thank you. Hope you enjoy

I had the k elite for awhile and loved it, just decided to upgrade to the ninja😊
My Keurig is the k79 Platinum plus with an LCD display and a hot water button. Like the one on your left.

The older models are more reliable. The newer models like the Supreme have lots of bad reviews. Mostly the descale feature.
OR DIPDORK YOU CAN LEAVE THE SYSTEM READY TO BREW WITH NO WARMUP AT ALL.

Why did the older models heat the temperature to 192° while the newer coffee models only heat to the temperature of 187° i think it is,
good question

Stay away from the Supreme! It clogs up in the grounds and won’t dispense cleanly.
