Tae and Jimin are best friends. They went to high school together and literally did everything together in those years according to Tae's letter that he wrote for Jimin on Bon Voyage. Jimin used to be a practice bug in early years (he still is but not to an unhealthy degree) and after school he would practice dancing at the studio until 4 am every night. And Tae would wait for him in this park near their studio. They sometimes even fell asleep on the park bench because they were too exhausted, got up at 6 and go to school again. Jimin was also extremely dieting this time as well (ate a full meal once every 10 days according to his own words) so it was all in all a really tough period for them, specially Jimin. Tae said the song is about this quite moment in the park in the middle of the night while he's waiting for someone, with just a bird to keep him company and when RM asked who he was waiting for he said ''jimin'' So there's a theory that the song is about him. Listen to it again with this in mind and the lyrics will make much more sense.

I think moonchild is an imaginary character that created by RM. As the song 4 o'clock there's a line "Even today i live moderately......Sun suffocates me and the world strip me naked ." that means as a man who lives in this society we should always be face other people like their view, opinion....in the morning the daytime. On the other hand if it's at night you can do anything you want... maybe not but at least it's much better than the morning. Sometimes he gets tired and may not be able to stand it. Actually we all thought about it that way... So he say that "we born to be sad,suffer to be glad.(in moonchild)" we should wait the timing when moon rise. "When moon rise it's ur time(in moonchild)"🌛 And the movie once say that the entire world is blue inside the moonlight so he compare the BLUE to morning which is RED (also a line in 4 o'clock). You're right, they do talk about space and galaxies and the moon a lot. From what I've picked up by being an army for 3 years now, is that during concerts when its dark, and our army bombs are lit up, they say we've created our own galaxy for bts and army bc it's as pretty as a night sky. So when you hear lyrics such as 'I do believe your galaxy' in magic shop, its a reference to the galaxy that we: bts and army make together. The boys also find great comfort in the moon, like a lot of people. Back when they started out and things were more strict, the boys only time of solitude was at night time, when they didn't have a schedule. At this time it was probably a time where they felt a release and comfort, but they also snuck out or would go to parks at night time because they had a smaller chance of being noticed (this song is V's dedication to Jimin, they both went to parks together at night time a lot back in the day'. I think they find great comfort from night scenery and time because its a way of comfort away from their busy lives during sunlight. I love your reactions by the way! For me, the all galaxy stuff is related to Hermann Hesse. The book "Demian" is a part of the storyline. In the prologue of the book, Hermann Hesse said that the human being has the all galaxy in himself,connected in different way for each one. Originally RM was only supposed to rap, or sing WITH Tae, but Tae said he wanted RM to sing that part solo. If you watch the behind the scenes of this you can see how touched RM was by that.

Also, RM actually does a lot of singing in covers as well as the demo versions of songs. You're right, they do talk about space and galaxies and the moon a lot. From what I've picked up by being an army for 3 years now, is that during concerts when its dark, and our army bombs are lit up, they say we've created our own galaxy for bts and army bc it's as pretty as a night sky. So when you hear lyrics such as 'I do believe your galaxy' in magic shop, its a reference to the galaxy that we: bts and army make together. The boys also find great comfort in the moon, like a lot of people. Back when they started out and things were more strict, the boys only time of solitude was at night time, when they didn't have a schedule. At this time it was probably a time where they felt a release and comfort, but they also snuck out or would go to parks at night time because they had a smaller chance of being noticed (this song is V's dedication to Jimin, they both went to parks together at night time a lot back in the day'. I think they find great comfort from night scenery and time because its a way of comfort away from their busy lives during sunlight. I love your reactions by the way! BTS likes to carry images and themes throughout their discography. They haven't said why, exactly, but this is something artists/writers/musicians do because it's meaningful for them and also because it creates a shared language with their audiences. When a new listener hears one of their references, it's just an image. But when an ARMY hears the reference, they're reminded of all the other times when BTS used the image and therefore the lyric or MV means much much more.
A few examples: galaxies as a metaphor for the complexities within each person and how that makes everyone special, that's one. For me, the all galaxy stuff is related to Hermann Hesse. The book "Demian" is a part of the storyline. In the prologue of the book, Hermann Hesse said that the human being has the all galaxy in himself,connected in different way for each one. That's why you will always found someone who has the same experience of life as you, but also why everyone is unique. (sorry if it's not very clear, english is not my native language ^^)
4 o'clock was written, composed and produced by V and RM. V insisted on RM singing his part coz he said that RM stans would love to hear his vocals as well. this song was their gift for the ARMYs for their 2017 FESTA (anniversary special). BTS always prepare special surprises for their ARMYs in every FESTA. you should watch their FESTA performances. 3J (JHope, Jimin, Jungkook) danced in 2017 FESTA. Suga and Jin performed each others song. during 2018 FESTA, the rap line (RM Suga JHope) performed Ddaeng. Jin and V sang their duet while Jimin and Jungkook danced as a duo.

Originally RM was only supposed to rap, or sing WITH Tae, but Tae said he wanted RM to sing that part solo. If you watch the behind the scenes of this you can see how touched RM was by that.
RM does a lot of the song writing and composition! So a lot of themes or lyrics that you find similar between songs are mostly done by RM!
Also, RM actually does a lot of singing in covers as well as the demo versions of songs. For example, there are demo versions of Serendipity, Fake Love and Spring Day floating somewhere around the internet with Namjoon singing them.
