Absolutely amazing figuring out & makes you wonder how many times he had to rebuild it to get to achieve it 100%, He deserves the #1 build of the of the year ...
Man.....that is just too cool for school bro!!!! 👍👍👍👍Unbelievable, killer, so inspiring, I gotta GeT me one of those, heaven knows I couldn't build one without f@@king it up!!!!! Bravo😎
Wow!!! almost a Harrier Jump Jet! Lockhead Martin would be proud to see this next rc fighter jet, with turbine speed! this rc jet planes are looking good for the next development in EDF! Hopefully if it comes out soon, Nice prototype! (A+A+A+)
cool ... most impressive ... the transition from flight to hover; Lockheed Martin should hire you; achieved initial operating capability (IOC) much quicker than the defense contractor.
At the moment there isn’t one. That said, the designer does have a website where he offers some of his other designs, so there’s a possibility it may become available.
Quite an accomplishment. Took many billions of taxpayer dollars to figure that out fullscale, what this guy did on his own! Now, he needs to work in some vents/valves to eliminate the lift fans :) I can see on landing that there's some kind of automatic flight control - is there logic out there for this off the shelf?
Hi! It's based on Ardupilot, which does a really good job with VTOL aircraft in general. I added code to handle this specific motor layout and then also the logic for using the thrust vectoring for forward/backward positioning during transition and hover instead of pitching like a drone would. It can position hold with hands off which is really nice. I tried using scoops to vent air from the main fan for roll control early on, but authority was pretty bad. Next time I'll probably try burying some small fans inside the fuselage and ducting the exhaust out to the wingtips.
The transition from forward flight to vertical is where most have issues. Eric nailed it. No instability at all. Amazing!
Yeah, it was super stable al around. Extremely cool to watch!
@@Thercgeek MAN, you're more stable than a court order on a tweaker chick in jail!!🐥 bro...!!!😁
@@Thercgeek i love the slight decrease in altitude though, his almost looks unrealistic but still super entertaining to watch.
I've only done it in a simulator and it's super floaty going into it with speed
#1 That's cause he cheated. The real F-35 doesn't have fans in the wings.
#2 The REAL F-35 doesn't work well either. It's STVOL rather than VTOL.
My man needs to get this out to a factory so it can get the full scale detail treatment for mass production. This is awesome.
Outstanding! Best thing I've seen in RC for a long time.
He did excellent job on it, he deserved to get the choice award!
Bad to the bone deserves an award
Absolutely amazing figuring out & makes you wonder how many times he had to rebuild it to get to achieve it 100%, He deserves the #1 build of the of the year ...
For sure! Really quite amazing to watch
This was the maiden flight (x2) that day!
Wow... That's just... A great feat of engineering.
Absolutely Awesome!!! This is a must have for any type of RC flyer👍👍
That was simply a perfect flight of a model RC F-35 lightning I ever seen.
Holly s&$! … that was amazing! Okay we need to put this into production lol
OK, that was the coolest thing I've seen in a while!
I was clapping with the crowd after that!! Amazing build for sure.
Well that was killer!!
Amazing design for such a young engineer too!
WOW. AMAZING CONTROL ✌✌👊👍

Awesome footage, thanks for sharing!
My pleasure man, congratulations on the amazing design!
That definitely gets the cool factor award! Great job!
That is so freaking cool. What an accomplishment!
For sure!!
Outstanding
"And the winner of the spot landing contest goes to......."
😁🤣😂🤪
Haha, right?!
To build that yourself.. GENIUS!!!
Wow!!!
Totally SWEEEET! Love the thrust tube!
damn! So cool🤩

Extremely well done!
very nice ! great flight and build...
Man it sounds AWESOME!!! Great 👍🏾 Job!!!
Looks like someone was doing some thinking on this one! Very nice flight! Thanks Chris!
Absolutely fantastic. Any idea on flight time. Doesn't really matter it still gets the major cool award.
I’m not sure about the flight times. He flew it twice and flights were kept pretty short, but I didn’t ask him about flight times either.
Including a vertical takeoff and landing, it can manage between 3 and 3.5 minutes. Hovering is a huge energy drain!
WoW, wonderfull job
That took some in---gen--u--ity-ee-ee!! Well done!!
Wow. Truly outstanding
That was amazing! Great flight!
Amazing 👍
Very stable flying and transition.
Looking good Eric!
this plane MUST be produced by a RC company as an ARF model. I'm sure they will sell o a lot of box !
Or as PNP version by Freewing. I would buy it 🙂
❤❤ awesome
Take my money
wow, just wow
Отличная модель,достойная устойчивость и управляемость с учётом габаритов.
Oh, that’s awesome!
YIKE! I need one of those.
Beautiful
That is amazing. Wow
Fascinante! Es increíble el diseño de la tobera 👍🏻🤘🏻🤙🏻
Skymaster are you 👀
Applauding!
Bellissimo

Very cool!!!!
Mad skills…👊🏻🇺🇸
that was cool 👍
VERY COOL!!!
Very Cool!!!
I likey!
😍😍😍😍😍😍
Nice 👍
amazing
Was gonna make a vtol f 35 but seeing this my self esteem has dropped lower than the twin
But real question how the hell did he do the moving exhaust
Wow that’s orsum, scratch build, should sell the design to Freewing 😎
How much it cost for something like that ? Thank you
👍👍👍
Any idea of Harrier jet with 4 edf nozzles
I’ve been some here and there online, but nothing I’ve seen flown yet.
I'll take 2 pls. We'll done
Some details on this thing? Is it a turbine and an EDF? I kept hearing jet noise?
Full details in the video description. 😊. The airplane is edf powered with two 90mm fans plus 3” props in the wings for roll control in the hover.
How much is plane
Where we can buy the kit?
At the moment there isn’t one. That said, the designer does have a website where he offers some of his other designs, so there’s a possibility it may become available.
what's the battery life?
I honestly don’t know. This is a model that I filmed at an event, I didn’t build it or fly it.
Yep…… where do we get one?
Maybe one day?
Is there a kit for this plane
Not currently.
Where is the file of printing
The designer hasn’t posted them anywhere that I’m aware of.
@@Thercgeek thank k you man
I want him to make me one

He programmed the logic himself for the transition. I don’t think there’s any off the shelf controller that does that.

Wow!!!
