Thanks for all the great info! Been playing the 921 forged the past 2 seasons! Good days are good and bad days are much better than my previous gamers the Ping i20’s. Over all I do enjoy them! Ball striking is something I need to work on, my miss is on the toe side but these clubs and design seem to do well on toeish hits. I have been playing Mizuno’s since the 900 hot metals and can’t really see myself looking elsewhere. The JPX is a great line for us average golfers! I just added a hot metal hl in the 5 iron just to get a little more help and plan on adding the 6 and maybe the 7. 8 thru gap are great! Just looking for a number with those, and they feel great. I would love to get up your way one day and go thru the bag, your knowledge is amazing and the videos are amazing! Keep up the great work and Thank you!
Thanks man ,i needed this,it was great to see and listen to you on monday.Listening to someone who know the stuff is great,i ve been in the golf industry for about 45 years and rarely can speak to someone who konws the stuff.Keep the good work and can t wait for your next online blog.
Thanks for listening
The 923 Forged look absolutely stunning. Gorgeous irons. I own the 921 Forged in 4-9 irons and am happy with them; however, I can absolutely feel a noticeable difference between the 1025 8-9 irons and the milled 4-7 irons. The milled long/mid irons are much springier of the face. A little firmer, with a slightly different sound.
What I do like about my 921 Forged is how tight my dispersion is.
Wouldn’t say the 923 is all that different aside from them being 1* stronger starting I believe at the 7 iron. Still, the 923 looks really nice.
Hi James,i just got fitted for some hot metal pros like i chatted with you on monday, the tech fitted me with project x lz stiff 115,and they feel amazing,i was really surprised cause my other club were fitted with xp95 r300 callaway apex pros,so why stiff and before regular,my swing speed was 83 mph with. 7 iron. They used the mizuno shaft optimizer
Interesting. I tested these recently having almost bought the sel previously. Say almost as I ended up going with the Pxg gen 5s. So was keen to try these. Liked them but preferred mine also because of shaft offerings - did test the 923 forged in four different shafts (2 graphite and 2 steel). But I recently tested the p770 2023 and was wowed by them. So much so - especially ball striking and consistency wise with a super shaft - that I am switching to the p770s. Never expected that. Ps found the pxg feel better than the jpx 923 forged. Maybe because of the 5 times forged. But such a great club and came close to my pxgs. So worth a serious look by others. And great it is out in lefties being one myself.
I’d say the chromally metal verses the others .
Great review!
The main problem I have with these clubs is the sole dimensions are so different throughout the set. The 8 iron sole for example is significantly smaller than the 7 iron. the short irons player more difficult to play than the long ones.
Great review, Jim! Thanks for sharing!
Glad you enjoyed it
@@McGolf I shared this with my golf buddy. He is in the market for a new set of irons. I told him once he decides he should have you build them for him.
The tour does come in Lefty!!
Nope…last years tour comes in lefty. Unless they just added as of a week ago🤷
Great video! Beautiful irons. ❤
Thank you! 🤗
I just ordered a set with 6.0 Project X LZ shafts. I have never been fit, Do you think that will be a good combo with MCC plus 4 midsize grips?
