You always post in the morning when I’m smokin n getting Stoney baloney; shit turns into inspiration so thank you g🙏🏽 appreciate you n what you bring n provide for the community
I see I’m not the only one who can feel the Preemo inspiration. One of the reasons is because his chops make sense. Some cats chop and they feel random instead of making sense. Of course the head bopping hard drums add on to the Preemo feel.
i agree with the random chop thing... all chops have to compliment each other even if theyre not from the same record... i always try to group my chops together so they sound like they belong together... @@apexone5502

Dayum! Thanks for sharing the process. I really appreciate your time and the fact that you played the whole Masterpiece for us. May life continue to treat you and yours well.
thank you very much i really appreciate that... its so hard for me to explain my sampling process ans technique so im trying to drop little pieces of knowledge at a time...
@@dubsbangermusic I've just tried your double BPM technique on the MPC too. Definitely gives it that natural swing without using quantize. Also shows how bad my timing is too 🤣
lolllllllll that metronome keeps me on point mannnn... i dont like to do drums first cuz i let the sample tell me what kind of drums it wants me to use @@DJFurio
a do a quick normalize on the whole beat and or compression but ill do 8 outs and master everything on the computer i just make sure them drums bang before i do anything sometimes theyre layered with three kicks two snares...@@ludwigos11
Yo so i got a ? When u say 16 velocity on ur hats..can u explain that? I dont use an mpc, im using a presonus atom controller - studio one as my daw....i have been adding the same hat sample to dif. Pads with dif. Velocitys...is that the same ? Should my loud hat hit opposite of kicks and snares and quieter with ? Thanks in advance! Really dig ur videos 🤟
appreciate that thank you, im not too familiar with your daw but you can use your mouse and play with the velocity in your daw to make it louder and quieter. velocity means the volume output of the sound youre using... yes your loud hi hats should be used when there is no interference. when you play your kick and drum i would keep the hi hat lower cuz youre not going to be able to hear the bounce in the hi hat. Let me know if this helped you
You inspire me alot to start working on boom bap beats, i learned alot from you ever since man! If you ever got the time, i hope you could check the last beat i made this morning on the mpc Hope you like it ✌️

You should do a video were you make a beat in 6/8 or a different time signature or explain how to sample 3/4 records
thats a good idea, thank you for that suggestion
