Mad impressive how you've improved your production quality so much - from the camera, sound quality, lighting, adding in some concrete tips and more just abstract beat making philosophy - and all while keeping the music and feel as raw as it was 5 years ago. Keep doing what you're doing Dubs
really appreciate that man thank you... im trying to keep it as original as possible like i use to make my videos just a little more interaction these days... thank you again it means a lot to me
This is working so much better with you talking about what you’re doing. Seriously nice beat and great vid. iPhone speakers are so poor. Couldn’t hear any of that sub bass at all 🤣
I think I may have used the same bird noise for ambience. The beat it's in starts at 3:50 but I can't really hear the birds until 4:50ish? It's part of a series I have called The Comedy Score Where I mix beats and stand-up comedy. I like the track. It has a real 90's Premo vibe. He's my favorite. ruclips.net/video/gdaweMG3rkw/видео.html
Hey Dubs, do you ever quantise any of your drums (kicks, snares, hats) or do you lay them down completely free? In my head I have good timing but I find it very hard to program drums without quantise. They always sound completely off. Especially hi hats. Not sure if it's just down to practise 🤔
this is why i use double time and have the metronome act as the hi hats so my kicks and snares are on beat... i mostly always use quantize off but i do go into the step sequencer and move the drums and snares over if i feel theyre off and still dont place them on the zero mark... it just takes practice youll get the hang of it
@@dubsbangermusic Thanks man, that's good to know. I will mess around with that ✌🏻 Need to get to grips with the step edit on the 2KXL but it looks intimidating.
Dope beat man as always. Are the ambient sounds from records? Im searching for stuff like that but had a hard time finding records that have this effects/ambient sounds. I like to get my stuff straight from vinyl. peace
Thank for telling us what are you doing during beatmaking, this little tips help a lot, open eyes to not overthink about this. Damn, you are doing wonderfull work 🫡
