Varifocals are like a Swiss Army Knife; Jack of all trades, master of none. They’ll get you by at all tasks, but you do have to accept a great deal of compromise. I think bifocals were a good choice. 👍🏻 Have you thought about using glasses direct? You can get a very reasonable pair of d-seg bifocals (not just stuck on) and if you don’t get on with them, you can send them back for a refund.
