Thanks so much for this posting. It is spectacular! By far the best I've seen on David Janssen. Pictures I've never seen before, and some information I thought to be true, but wasn't sure. Namely, him and Angie Dickinson. I purchased Volume 2 of Michael Phelps's book. I liked the book, but I question why he assisted his ex-wife, who David referred to as "that bitch", with her memoir. Seems a little sketchy if he was truly your friend. Being a teen when he passed away, my favorite work of his will always be Harry O, and his earlier show U.S Treasury. He was a hella hard worker, but I believe stress took its toll on his heart. May he rest in eternal peace....😔💖

I have serious doubts about the credibility of Michael Phelps's books. I purchased Volume 1 and I caught a so-called "conversation" that was so egregiously factually wrong that it is very difficult to not conclude that the author simply made it up, and I called the author out for it on Amazon. Every reader needs to make his or her own judgment about Phelps's books - my own is not favorable.

Yes, DJ worked and played hard. His 1st wife Ellie was nice (in my opinion!), but, people are changing 🙄.
I guess, after work, he wanted some relaxation and not additional responsibilities or stress, the reason, he bought the Beach house in Malibu. His 2nd wife was not the best fit, a lot of action and parties.
I have my doubts, if or not he passed away by natural course? Everything was too much "show". DJ will never be forgotten 🙏❤.

I've watched every episode of The Fugitive, its the best series ever made in the golden age of serial television. It was a cultural phenomenon, everyone was tied to their seats to discover the identity of the one-armed man. It also sold the idea of American ideals of the terrible perfidy of social injustice which was and still remains so compelling.

A wonderful tribute to a fantastic actor! My best friend (Dave Brown) and I hosted annual "Fugitive" conventions in LA during the 90's and many of the individuals who worked with David attended, including a lot of his fans. People like Roy Huggins (Creator), Alan Armer (Producer) Jacqueline Scott (Kimble's sister), Bud Brill (location manager), Serge Krizman (art director), Walter Grauman, Stanford Whitmore (Writer), Richard Anderson, Carol Rossen (actress), Elliott Shaprio (David's driver), Steve Lodge (costumer), Bob Rubin (Assistant Director), Carl Barth (editorial consultant), Pete Rugolo (Music), Andrew Prine (actor), Ed Faulkner, (actor), David's family - his half-sister, Teri and Jill and his mother Berniece and many others. Everyone spoke so highly of David and as you highlighted several times in your tribute, what a gem to work with and how professional he was. Again, thanks for this wonderful tribute and the time and effort you went through to showcase the many talents David possessed and brought to stage and screen!

In 1980, I arrived in America as a foreign student, and arrived in New Orleans, LA.

Great work and a lot of it - but his early years need some fleshing out. He's in Nebraska, then he's playing basketball for an unidentified team then he's in the Korean war then we find he was in a bunch of movies as a teen.... A little more detail and a little better chronology would be good.

If his injured knee, prevented him from playing sports, then it would've kept him, out of military service, too. Maybe, he wasn't injured as much, as we're led to believe. Possibly, he used that as an excuse, to get out of sports (I can't, blame him🙄). It's believable, his dad (like some, unintelligent father's do) was pushing, the sports agenda.
One thing, though. Some partial narration, would of been okay, as there was too much reading to do. Which is alright, if you're a reader. I couldn't pick out, David's charature @40:56, after the note telling us, 'see if you can find him'. You should of circled his picture, like you did, in his high school photographs. I assume you're British, hence the misspellings. Plus, this was a little long😴. But overall, a very thorough, bio-doc👍!!
Yes, always liked David in most everything he did. Especially, "Ring Of Fire", with Frank Gorshin.
