- it's finally here! my annual halloween decorate with me, it may be the same theme of Harry Potter, but I think I outdid last year... also this works for a dark academia halloween theme as well if you're less into Harry Potter :)

I fully intended on addressing this in all my HP related videos, but forgot and ended up only doing it in my Halloween haul video.

I understand some have chosen to fully remove HP from their life as a response to her hatred, I however have chosen to still enjoy HP and will not let the woman who must not be named take the joy and comfort I feel away from me. HP means so much to me and I am simply unable to “cancel” it entirely, however I will not support her financially any longer.
I apologize for not addressing this directly in the video, I had full intentions to but I got too excited and it slipped my mind. I understand if this is not enough for some, but everyone will do what is best and right for them 🖤

I'm permanently decorating my bedroom in a cozy, magical HP inspired theme✨ all DIY and thrifted, and it looks so much prettier and more authentic than any official merch ;)
This is everything I love the attention to detail!! For example I wouldn't automatically associate spiders with Harry Potter but the way you arranged them in a path immediately read Chamber of Secrets to me!
lately, with social media really being the only contact I have with other people, it's been really easy for me to feel like my decor is sloppy, because I'm used to seeing minimalist people, and because a lot of the people I'm friends with are not into halloween/horror at all. It's been so refreshing to see your home and feel some sort of normal again. Your apartment looks absolutely stunning. Thank you for sharing!!!
ALSO - I know in your DIY decor video you said you aren't creative at all, but you very clearly have an eye for pieces that go together and where to place them! You did an amazing job.
I’ve been feeling the same way, you’re not alone, everyone’s gonna have their own decorating style and taste and minimalism isn’t for everyone. I for one am a big fan of cluttered spooky/goth themed decor.
@@lexi_barely_lives me tooooo. I like having tons of plants, art from my friends, skulls, insects, random thrifted nonsense. Honestly, aside from making comments like this, recently tiktok especially also helped me find other people, especially alt people, that decorate the way I do. Its been a real comfort to find like minded decorators!
Not sure why but Halloween content (especially yours) has really been giving me that good feelings hit, perfect time for a pick me up!

The dining nook area is everything, it seriously looks so amazing!! OH MY GOD... you did an AMAZING job this year!! You should be a set designer for movies!! The items you have plus the extra touches are *chef's kiss*!! Now, I will say that I'd leave quite a bit of these items up all year round as Halloween decor is lifestyle decor for me (things that look legit, you know what I mean). I don't know which section is my favorite, they all look GREAT!
