- You guys requested it, and it's finally here! Part 3 is better than ever, with Asian bells and voice announcements only. I couldn't think of a better video to post for my 3,000 subscriber special! This is a mash-up from my recent trip to Hong Kong, Beijing, Macau, Zhongshan, and Guangzhou. Consider this a sneak peek video (Individual videos of each elevator shown will be posted sometime in the future). My only problem is that with multiple elevators, you can sometimes hear chimes meant for the other cars.
@@acivilizedhuman In most buildings, when you call an elevator, only one car can accept a call for that floor at a time, at least in the one direction. It's impossible to make that mistake.
Unless you're talking about those rare cases where the chime reverberates through the shaft and to another floor, then yeah, that is an issue...

All of the chimes and voiceovers are awesome. I love the three tone ones. That chime at the 31 second Mark, is really different it is like a Schindler chime only a lot shorter.
Dwall44 That one is a Kone M-Series chime, the type of elevator Kone produced in the 80's and early 90's in Europe and Asia. They are very rare in North America (I saw a video of a Kone M in Canada)

Why did some of the elevators have the 4th floor? I thought the number 4 was unlucky in China.
as a person who lives in china, yes. But mostly only for apartments they dont have 4th floor, in other places it just makes everything more confusing.
