I moved from Memphis to Montana 14 years ago, but I'm new to gardening (4 seasons now!). We have a lot of rocks here! Ha I am always looking for things that don't require electricity or gas and that don't cost thousands of dollars. This item fits the bill! Love that it's made in Montana. I also like the size options including the small one without the long handles. I live in town and have a community garden plot at the moment. I like the idea of the small one and then upsizing later when we get some land. Thanks for showing how to assemble it. I believe I can put it together, too. All of my people are from North Mississippi. I love watching you harvest and learned how to prune my tomatoes watching you, which I implemented last year!! I really like your suggestion of doing some down time videos just walking in nature. Being a former Southerner, I love hearing the birds where you are. Miss that and the hardwoods.
I'd like to have one to see if it would help me combat rattlesnake weed. and dollar weed.
No mixing 2 cycle oil and gas for a tiller and no yanking a pull cord 8-10 times to start it either. When the world is out of fuel you can still use yours so that's a win-win in my world.
Thank you for sharing this info about a broad fork on steroids!
What an awesome piece of equipment. Great review. God Bless You and Wanda.
Thank you and God bless you!
It looks like an interesting tool to use in a garden. I think I will buy one for my small garden.
You will love it.
Great vid! Good review of a great product, looks like you will get a lot of use out of that!
I really like the design of that broadfork. That adjustable tines really is a great feature. Thanks for the info on that tool. God bless you folks. ~ Rich
Danny,
I just got delivery of my Broadfork/ Ez digger. I am so happy you put up this video. I have been looking for a broadfork for over two years and was unhappy with all the choices. When you showed how you were assembling it, that was what I was wanting. Even all the stores who are supposed to be knowledgable of gardening tools (in my area) didn't know the first thing of what a broadfork was. I hope the guy who made this earns a fortune from his product.
So glad you love it.
I bet he is , with the price of materials and labor , there is a huge mark-up.
One can be made by a handy man much ,much cheaper.
I bought one this spring and love how was so easy to do up the garden . I didn't buy this one but I like the storage for this mine is a beast !
i love mine. I use it in my compost pile. It’s works great.
That looks like a great piece of equipment, I wonder if it would stand up to my heavy clay soil 🤔.
Klaus
Go watch Fit Farmer. That's how he made all his beds & he is in some very heavy clay soil. ❤️
Rockin P Ranch thank you I will, after I check out your channel!
It's made for clay.
Deep South Homestead That’s good to know, I read something way back that said that type of tool wasn’t good in heavy soil, now I know that brand is!
Terrific tool!
Those are some nice features on a fork .. being able to replace a tine is a huge advantage! I know there are folks that swear by their walk-behinds, but when you need a tool that isn't dependent upon the "on-time delivery system", broadforks and wheel cultivators get the job done. REALLY good for spot aeration when thistles, milkweed, or dandelions pop up - you don't have to disrupt the roots of anything that you might have growing in order to eliminate the cause of your weeds.
Wow thank you we have raised bed so the held is perfect.
ty Danny. it may not be my main Broadford as heavy clay soils, but I do like the feature of removing spiles to stadle existing plants
Nice 👍💕
Thanks Danny and Wanda. I have wanted a broadfork for years. Unfortunately they are way too expensive for my budget. I keep hoping to find one at the flea market, pawn shop or thrift store. Much Love
That's why I haven't got one, yet. I plan to, but the price is so crazy.
These are very handy , but for the materials the are ridiculously OVER PRICED!
Won’t hurt your worms in your garden like tillers do!
love seeing it used in non compact sandy soil, sure it would work well in my hard clay soil, lol
Hobbyist Prepper They work in our rocky soil.
I want one of those for my garden😁
Only thing I'd like is soft handles. Those look like they would put blisters pretty fast ??
Cut some pool noodles and slip them on there.
Wear good gloves.
Wanda I don't mean to be rude but how much do you weigh, is it harder for you? I'm 153 and wonder if I have enough weight to use it? North Texas and the ground get's hard in summer.
Nearly 150
It would make a good trout line weight
Getting your workout in lol.
I see the fishing rod now we need a fishing video
can I get that with a 3 point mount?
Check out the smaller one ezdigger.net/
I can't find the link. It looks great!

@@DeepSouthHomestead Thanks. Someone sent me to Amazon and I found it there. Very expensive!
I don't see a link in the description.

I know your soil is very sandy. Wonder how this would work in clay soil
It's made for clay soil.
i really doubt that this would hold up in my hard clay soil...i bought one from meadow creature that does great in hard clay...its all metal and welded construction...
The company says it will work in clay soil.
+1 for the Meadow Creature. Haven't used it yet but time is coming for it. Also looks a lot more durable.
With the dam breaking you may get tons more water than you want. Is that near you?
Not that I know of.
I don't think this will work in my rock garden in Middle Southern Tennessee.
I think some old timers planted heirloom rocks on this sight many years ago. They come back every time it rains. I pick them and there are more and more of all sizes.Weather has no effect on these rocks.I can hardly work my garden with my tractor and cultivator. Lol sorry just had to say it.
It's weird that they're made in Montana, a state that you could never use them in because the soil has big rocks all in it
The owner uses his in Montana.
I'm sure he does, i was just joking. But where I lived in southwestern Montana, there was too many large rocks in the soil and i had to grow in 5 gal buckets instead. Now living in south Alabama and the problem here is bugs, weeds and heat! I'm learning that raised beds are the way to go here
I copied and pasted the link you show and googled it and no luck.
