N.1) If I have a second slot for a RAM card, adding another 4 gb RAM would be the same as having one of 8 gb? And can I replace the 4 gb RAM with one of 8 gb and add another one of 8 gb?

That is the right way to upgrade it. The Lenvo G50 has to RAM slots the two are connected as a bank. If you replace one the two must have the same capacity. I have the 4 GB installed as workside installed. I want to install more RAM so I remove the 4 GB and install to 8 GB. I also plan to replace the internal Harddrive with one greater but SSD.

@@santoshnarale1020 you have only one Slot inside. I would replace the installed HDD with a new with more Capavity. The new HDD can you first install as an additional HDD by USB an copy your Windows on it and than replace the internal HDD with it.

I have Lenovo G50-70 laptop with 2 GB RAM and two memory slots. If I upgrade the memory do I need to install 2 GB+2 GB RAM only or can I use 2GB+4GB RAM combination? Someone told me that the memory capacity of the RAMs should also be same if I use two RAMs together or else it will not support. In simple, will 2GB DDR3L 1600Mhz(pre-installed) + 4GB DDR3L 1600 Mhz RAM will be OK? PLEASE HELP.

warranty will not expire. I asked lenovo customer service. Only thing is that for the added peripheral you need to go to that company only for warranty services.

most probably this is the ota software upgrade of Radeon R5 230. Mine got the update but I had to revert back coz It didnot handle PubG in mine. IT freezes anyways.

mine is the basic Lenovo IdeaPad G50-30 (product #80G000C1MJ). I think it comes with 2GB RAM and 500GB HDD. But its slow and hangs alot when streaming, using flash and etc. how much of RAM can i increased to? need to increase the processor aswell?

I am sure you can play your games on g50-45. Try to set lower graphics quality. If games still run slow check for background tasks, upgrade BIOS and check for Windows updates.

Any stickers or paint on screws .....will this void my warranty
attecker It depends how thorough they are. Shouldn't be a problem if you don't throw away the original parts. Need to send it in for repairs? Simply replace the old parts and then send it. There aren't any stickers that will get pulled off for the HDD or RAM.
