So the curriculum has online games, videos, printout sheets and arts and crafts assignments to do? Also, they will have to submit videos to the teachers? This is my 1st time so excuse my ignorance. Want to make sure I know exactly what I’m signing up for
Hey there! It does! Reading Eggspress (included with Kindergarten tuition) will have games, videos, books, etc. LUOA lessons will consist of a combination of worksheets, videos, and sometimes arts and crafts as well as some really cool science experiments. The videos as well as various other assignments, quizzes, and tests will be submitted to teachers for review and a grade. Here's the link and the phone number just in case you need it. www.liberty.edu/online-academy/online-elementary-school/. Admissions 866-418-8741. I hope that helps!
You are welcome! Liberty came highly recommended from a trusted friend and I talked with admissions several times before enrolling our son. I felt very comfortable with the program before we enrolled. They checked all the boxes for us and they had so much support staff. We were looking down the road a bit with a possible 504 and special accommodations. We tried it and loved Liberty so we haven’t felt the need to search for alternatives. I hope that helps.
Hey there! I’m glad you found it helpful. We normally start sometime between 9:00 AM-10:00 AM and we are finished about noon. It doesn’t take long for the actual lessons (about 40 minutes each); however we sometimes have supplemental classes with a co-op or other classes to round out the day. I hope that helps. Make it a great day!
Hey there! It depends on the assignment requirements. Some are video submissions and some are photos of projects. Some examples can be seen throughout the video if that helps.
They there! I can't speak for every parent/student, but we were able to complete our lessons in about 2 hours per day. I hope that helps. Make it a great day!
@heytheretracyh they said they only base it off the program curriculum they cant tell if it's the parents helping them or not same for test , in school they have to do test and projects
Hey there! LUOA has a team that can assist you with a 529 plan; however, you are delivering and teaching the curriculum on a daily basis. The teachers are grading and providing written feedback. They do not actually teach the material. This link will bring you to the home page. You might want to call them for more specific details. They are very helpful if you decide to call. www.liberty.edu/online-academy/ I hope that helps. Make it a great day!
Well I just found your channel today I live in Louisiana... I have a k-5 , I want to homeschool but I don't want to hold him back from his full potential. I know statistics show homeschool kids are smarter, but I have adhd so sticking to a schedule and being on top of things can be a challenge for me. BUT I can't afford a private Christian school ans he would have to be in a charter school (which is a great school , it's as they get older that I have a issues with common core). So this is so affordable vs 10k a year + for private school. You said that I will have the supplies online but I have to teach it correct ? Did you find it hard teaching him to read? I'm so worried
@@TheBradfords Hey there! You will be the one teaching the material, but it is a very methodical and logical way to tech. You can do it-I promise. I had similar fears and issues. My son has ADHD and anxiety issues. He is really thriving in a homeschool environment. I can't imagine sending him to a transitional classroom environment. That would be detrimental to his creativity and to his learning capabilities. Homeschooling is honestly more about setting up a learning environment and showing kids how to learn and less about "teaching". Those examples in the video are real projects and parts of the curriculum. You really can see how much joy my son gets out of learning. You might even find you enjoy homeschooling, too-maybe not everyday, but most days. I hope that helps. You rock!
What other options have you considered for your homeschool curriculum?
This was so helpful! I’m looking to start my child in kindergarten this coming fall at LUOA. This gave me a picture of how it will be day to day.
Hey there! I am so glad it helped. We had a lot of fun in kindergarten at LUOA. Enjoy the ride. Make it a great day!

My child is showing signs of Dyslexia. Does LUOA have resources to help students who may need certain accommodations?
This was very helpful thank you! Is there any reason you chose this option over their Ember self-paced option?

Great video Tracy!😍 Does Liberty have a pre school curriculum too? I have a friend who is about to start homeschooling.
Sadly, they do not, but I kinda wish they did when Eric J was in preschool.
Do you have to send the video or send picture of their project?

For kindergarten how many hours per day does it take?

@@bloodcovered777 you are welcome! I'd love to hear how it goes for you.
They told us on the phone for online no projects , no test we just talked to them a couple weeks ago.
Hey there! That's very interesting. I'm not sure how they will assess progress without projects and tests. I will investigate.

@@Pjbowhunter10 Hey there! That's very interesting. Thank you for sharing.
