I love it!! I've searched for the newest video because it seems like the thinks are changing over the time 🤷 I'm not a pro, that's why Ian here and I love it!!
Maybe you need to change the Interpreter. You can do that by using crtl shift P in VSCode and then searching Python: Select Interpreter. Picking the Interpreter on wich Manim is installed should maybe solve the Problem then.
Here, get my thanks! I see manim animations and think that should easy to do, but, my great enemy ffmpeg error shows to me, but following step by step, i resolved, really thanks
THANK YOU! I tried installing it manually and failed completely. With the method shown here it worked (after cleaning up the mess i left behind from my manual try...).
Thanks, a lot best tutorial now but after these steps it didn't show any output. After typing commands winget install python winget install ffmpeg to powershell it now finally works. Thans anyway
@@thaomaoh Yeah, I already did but it still showed the same error. When opening up VS Code, it shows a message stating, "The environment variable 'Path' seems to have some paths containing the '"' character. The existence of such a character is known to have caused the Python extension to not load. If the extension fails to load please modify your paths to remove this '"' character." I don't know if this is causing the problem or not.
Great video! I have done everything just like you said but when I try to import manim in vs code it says it couldn't find the module and I tried to download again in chocolatey but it said it's alredy installed
Hmm, I never ran into this so I don't really know how to fix it. Did you create a new file in VScode or a new Python file? Make sure you have a python file (with .py extension at the end). Maybe that's the issue idk
I had the same problem yesterday and tried to fix it by my self but broke the PC. Today I found it that it's just because Python doesn't have malim as language. If you continue coding without thinking about that issue it work 👍 I hope I could help you
@@Caillou_Avatar oh what a problematic situation I hope you can get your PC back to normal later. Thanks for the tip, I'll try it. I was trying to change the python interpreter to see if it works
So hear me out I found the solution. So what you gonna do is to go to the bottom right side of Vs code and you may see something like 3.11 bla bla your python version and 64 bits or 32 bits what ever your pc is . Click on that thing. I mean on the text 3.11.6 (your python version maybe different than that but just click on that number) then a window might pop up saying ""select interpreter "" choose different interpreters from there . For me when I choose the globe one it worked and the problem solved. You may try all of them . And keep in mind after choosing one interpreter give some time like 1 minutes to let the interpreter load and do it job to solve the issue. Thanks me letter
I don't remember to be honest. I showed how to install Manim in the beginning of this video as well, you could try doing those exact steps if you haven't solved this yet: ruclips.net/video/mvegivm695s/видео.htmlsi=oDxNGV_j9sFOhVDw&t=75
@@Astrophile_Here maybe like clean reinstall it along with python, and then make a python virtual environment and select that environment's interpreter
@@sten.005 I installed it again by manual installation, and I also found that there are two Python interpretations in vs code. It turned out to be successful though I'm not sure which one actually fixed the problem.
Do you see the green round icon with an arrow at the top right of VScode? That's the icon that turns on Mani's side view. Once you click on it then you have to select the scene that you want to play. Let me know if that works
I had the same error. In my case, the problem was that I had named my file manim.py so it was getting confused where to import from. Changed my Python file name and it worked!

Without this tutorial video, I wouldn't have been able to overcome the numerous errors until I could use Manim. I sincerely appreciate it. Thank you!👍
Thanks a lot! Great tutorial! :)
Can you make a video on how to run a simple code after installation ? It would be helpful. It gives an error - No module named "manim"

Great tutorial and everything, but how can I actually access manim now, like how and where can I type commands for animations?

I follow all the steps of the installation. I have just one issue, the sideview button is not available in vscode.
