- tl;dr Witness my best video so far, the immersive, legendary, full action BLUFOR IDF assault on a weapoins cache on Gaza Insurgency from the perspective of three members of Squad 6.
PREFACE
If you are interested in organised games of this kind, check both THE PIT and the ALLIANCE Discord in the end of the description.
ABOUT
Event: The Pit vs PRHub RU on Gaza
Game Mode: Insurgency
Map: Gaza Insurgency
Date: 2025-01-11
Server: The Pit
POV: BLUFOR Squad 6 - Catmouse, Sleepy and RaFyHun
This highlight video is a must see to all who want to know why organised PROJECT REALITY games are the pinnacle of multiplayer gaming these days:
After a years long well deserved winning streak, the Russian community is facing off against a mixed team under the flag of The Pit. An intensive planning session under Cmdr Kamukrajus set the BLUFOR in a strong starting position to fullfill its mission: To kill insurgents, to find and destroy insurgent weapons caches - with minimal loss of virtual lives (tickets). Witness how Squad 6 is pushing the northern cache with support from Squad 4 and Squad 5. Will the IDF prevail?
The video shows so many things happening in a clash of two organised units. No player walks around randomly, starting from the insurgent trying to lay down a mine against the BLUFOR APC, APC covering tactical locations with smoke and thermals, heavy surpression fire with RPG and grenade launchers on tactical strong points held by BLUFOR, squad mates covering each other and going out of the way for a revive their comrades, a multi squad push using surpression and breaching elements orchestrated by the BLUFOR commander using an UAV, and BLUFOR infantry breaching the weapons cache compound in a delta-force-eque style after launching an artillery strike against it.
Sheer beauty of multiplayer tactical light-milsim ! Thanks for playing that day! :)

Nice one fellas ✌🏼
Thanks! Much appreciated! :)
saw you as a squad leader trying your best in a slorg video. im a new player (well returning, but its been so many years it does me no good to have installed PR .5 nowadays) and i cant wait till i get competent enough to play vs real players. im doing coop game right now to not embarrass myself too much.
the end was so dramatic, "PICK UP MY KIT, HIT G!"
Hey, thanks for visiting my channel! PR 0.5 is a looong time ago! Welcome back! That was a rough round that Slorgs commented on. Not the worst round, but far from baseline public server PR. It was painful enough for me not to publish it.
My suggestions is: Once you have the most basic (!) skills ready, get a microphone (!!) and jump into a live PvP server. Your core skill will be to select a nice SL, who is good enough to teach you the rest. Do not settle for some sociopath, just go for character and playstyle, and a nice squad, and tell them that you are new to the game. You will make a lot of mistakes. Everyone does it. Laugh it of. It is part of the game that things fall apart. Just try to have fun together, live teamplay you will loose every other round anyway. And you will see, after a while, you will be squad leader, selecting players for social behaviour, and moderating the game experience.
Check the Discord community links above. The Pit is not able to seed a public server atm, but it is running good events. Alliance has a public server, operates with individuals and clans, and runs events from time to time! Make sure to choose the right play times - most experienced players play in the evening/night EU and US time. FRI, SAT and SUN is best.
Rifleman and medic kits are very good starters for PvP. And note: Sleepy, the guy who killed the cache, was playing the COMBAT medic role in a very proficient and aggressive way.
Have fun and see you around!
PS Oh, yeah, thanks for the feedback on the video! It was quite a gameplay story! :)
@CatmouseGame Brotato i did not just visit, i also subscribed. thanks for the warm welcome back!
the editing and gameplay were so freakin good i couldnt believe you dont have thousands of subs! i give you props on that slorgs video just because you were at least trying as squad leader. i totally understand that part about the pain and not uploading.
so one week into it and i am playing on coop public servers, i have been tempted to jump into a PvP server but im gonna hold off until i have my settings 100% right and a bit more confident.
great tip about the SL being the make or break for the whole experience, ive had some super helpful SL'ers in my limited playing time so yes i agree!
thanks for the info about The Pit and Alliance, once i get more experience i will definitely check em out!
I've been trying medic for starters, like the manual says, but rifleman is better so i dont cripple the squad!
normally in all my years of battlefield i main engineer, but trying out the LAT or anti tank rifleman in offline practice it is very challenging getting the shot on target and you only get one round, i love the realism about only getting one shot btw pretty much sums up PR in a nutshell.
Yeah man i had to leave a comment since the gameplay was so enthralling, it was really compelling.
Sleepys the real MVP, i agree on that also.
definitely will see you around i cant wait till your next vid man, itll keep me from quitting before i gitgud.
one more thing the game info says csGO, i dunno if you did that on porpoise or what. have a great sunday man, its usually me giving essay responses to comments so its nice to see another TLDR style comment!
@@placebots My pleasure! Thanks for the praise, much appreciated. There is no tag for Project Reality -- thanks for pointing that out.
Don't worry about getting "good enough". Playing against bots is much different than PvP. Another world, so to day. As are organised games, games during "prime time" when the oldtimers hop on, and normal PvP during the week, which has quite a low level. Just jump in and have fun.
@CatmouseGame ive been using the bf2 tag myself, dont know if it actually helps seeing as how its been stand alone for a bit.
well maybe not gitgud, per se, more i dont wanna make dumb mistakes and hamper my squad, ive gotten laughed at a few times in a week of play and although it helps keep my ego in check, id like to avoid embarrassing myself.
thanks for the tip about pvp, i knew it was gonna be a huge adjustment from the coop servers, but maybe your PROTIP will keep me from spending too much time on the coop servers since after a certain point the experience will be quite different like you said.
and yeah i saw yesterday afternoon the veteransgaming server on coop actually got full, the downside about the NA/Western Europe peak time when all the OGs are on is exactly the time my interenet goes to somalia standards. my ping goes mogadishu and it keeps me offline during most of those peak hours. i usually jump on early in the morning before all my neighbors wake up and start hogging the bandwidth.
definitely having fun, see you out there homes!
Sleepy GOOOOOO goooo SL3EPY!4!!!!! GREAT ONE!😂😂
It was such an epic push!
And even more, the video shows so many things happening ... no player walks around randomly, starting from the guy trying to lay down a mine against the APC, the APC covering us with smoke and thermals, squad mates covering each other and going out of the way for a revive, the multi squad push orechestrated by a commander using an UAV, a surpression and a breaching element, and you guys breaching the compound in a delta-force-equesque style. Sheer beauty! Thanks for playing that day! :)
