    Wow, i have struggled with this for ages. I use slotted connections a lot for brackets and i always just had a sketch ppint centered to slot to join to.

      Hope this helps to streamline the workflow moving forward! The CTRL-hover technique makes Joints much easier to use in my opinion. Also, please note that you can right-click on the mouse to obtain a couple other options for Joint connections. Thanks for reaching out and have a most blessed day!
