This video will show you how to increase your internet speeds by changing your routers channel settings. What happened was my internet speeds were very sporadic it would be super fast then super slow, I called my provider which was Time Warner and stating the problem, he 1st reset my modem on his end, I guess they need a soft/hard reset couple times a year or more, then I pulled my Ethernet cable directly into my desktop, I then got super fast speeds and maxed out, but then after plugging my Ethernet cable back into my router it slowed down to half speed downloads. So I had to log into my routers settings which I show in the video and messed with my channel settings until I found a channel with super fast speeds. Hope this video helped:)
Thank you for your time.
Thx dude. I was getting 5 mbps now I'm back at 25mbps so happy. Continue the great work for the rest of 2016
6 years ago this was good lol

I cannot thank u enough. Been with Direcway since 2002 every new modem they send me they can't figure out how to get my Netflix to work correctly. I have a dlink router & followed your video and hallelujah working perfectly again. You are awesome. Very easy to understand & u saved me so much more frustration & money! They told me to buy a new router for about 200 bucks, or upgrade to Gen 5 system which I don't need. Again, much appreciated.
The channel does NOT depend on your router... It depends on how many wifi networks are around you and what channel they are on...
Exactly. If too many people are on channel 6 then itll go slow. You just have to find a channel that not many people are on.
+FutureZeal Exactly. I use an app called wifi analyzer to see what everyone else is on around me 🤓
+Austin G thnx
Thank you
Hunter Yelton what router would you recommend? I'm not rich but I have an older linksys router. I do get great speed but even with the wifi extension the opposite side of the house gets crappy speed. My Speedtest I get a download of 177mbps and upload at 40mbps. on the other side of my house I get 3.83mbps download speed and 0.73mbps upload speed. I have changed the locations several times to verify that It isn't a fluke and it's not. So I am in no way well versed with how all of this works but it seems (by watching a ton of RUclips videos that I need a new router and I've always used linksys since day 1 however this router was purchased approximately 4 - 5 years ago. Do you or anyone else have a recommendation on getting a new (not expensive) router? Thank you for your time! Jill
Thank you so much. I was not having luck with my local provider helping me. I tried channel 6 it automatically went to my optimal speed. Love your video!
Thank you glad the video could help, have a great day:)
This is odd, as most if not all routers come out of the box with channel 6 preset. Did you notice what it was before you changed it?
finally not an indian tech guy
I Have Crippling Memes ikr lol

Fck off @takeyo
Indians are good with this stuff but one can't really trust them. Because the real techie guy won't uploads videos on RUclips. You know that's how it works in India.
Thank you sir, your advice did work, switched from auto to channel 11 an improved from 3.54mps to 18.68
Did another test an it dropped so I changed to channel 1 got worse to 5.72
Tried channel 2 an got 6.6mps
Then channel 3 an I got 25.80 back to back tests, so Im happy with that speed for what I pay with AT&T
Yesssss you are awesomeeee dudeeee I'm here from The Bahamas 🇧🇸 and my cable provider couldn't give me a good answer you helped tremendously!!!!!
For everyone reading the comments, here are some tips:
You have to try different channels yourself no matter what the tech guys or someone on youtube says because everything around you (other devices at home and your neighbors) affects. The main one are 1, 6 and 11, so try these 3 channels first and don't forget to disable or uncheck the Auto Channel Scan.
Try to play your Router/Modem at a high position, if possible mount it on the wall as high as you can, the wireless waves travel faster going down than going up.
Also, there could be many things that affect your wireless signal, for example if you live in a concrete apartment or a house build with stones on the walls you might have to ask your internet provider to send someone to change the position of the modem, if you can do it yourself you can try different spots do some tests and leave it where works best for you.
Abbey your a Gem of great sense Cheers!!!!
get wifi analyzer on your smart phone first
Identify the most open hole in your neighborhood
+John McGlaughlin great idea, do you use a certain one? I have both android & iphone
great thanks:)
+John McGlaughlin what does it do tho
+Dangerous Gaming the analyzer will identify all transmitting ssids it will even suggest the best channel
I ant find it. is it only on android?
Thanks B. R. This is my result ... my computer still loads slow, but once it's loaded, my desktop windows open with lightning speed! And between this fix and your Firefox fix, everything on the net is working much faster as well. Thank you for sharing this!
The best thing to do it to get wifi analyzer app !! It will show you witch channels are the leased used in your area!! So you just pick the one thats not being used !!
Can you pls elaborate
@@dOVERanalyst There is an app that you can download!! Called wifi analyser . You can use it to scan the most used channels in you area !! So if all your neighborhood is using channel 11 then you set your modem to say chanel 1 or 3 eg !! Im my area most are using 6 and 11 so ive set mine to 9 !! And basically have it all to myself !! From my past experience most modems are set at 11 as standard +!
@@samhaveaguess4284 @@samhaveaguess4284 Thanks a lot. I tried one WiFi analyzer app.
I've a D link 615 and they're saying even if incoming connection is 100mbps there's literally NO WAY to get 100mbps on a 2.4 GHz router.
They've given a trial TP Link Archer with dual, 5ghz and 2.4 GHz.
But the range sucks.
It only gives 98mbps close to it.
Once you cross even one wall, it's back to exactly what I was getting with D link 615.
So, don't feel like wasting 1500 bucks.
WiFi analyzer app shows ours from channel 5 to 9. (I was expecting just one channel, maybe).
Or does it show because it is right now on auto switch mode.
Changing the channel should only make a difference if a lot of people nearby were using the one you were and thus that channel is congested. The 5 GHz WiFi would have a lot more channels to choose from but you need a 5 GHz WiFi card or dongle to make use of it. You may even need a newer router to make it work also or your WiFi will default to the 2.4 GHz you intended to replace. Make sure that your stuff is still returnable even if the box was opened so that if something is not working you will not get stuck with it.
I guess it worked for me???
Channel 6 (default): DL: 14.29
Channel 1: DL: 16.23
Dear sir.
I am shawn and just want to say thank you for us this trick. Also my internet slow as well.
I have been experience with the my neatgear router operator she said I have to paid her to reset my router cause been over 5 years of time but I purchase this router from Fry’s electronic store. The salesman this is the top of the line router n I paid for over $200 dollars.
I feel like been rip-off from the lady operator but likely I didn’t paid her to reset my router.
Now my router still slow !!!!!!
Some big company out there really try to rip-off consumers. Watch out guy.
Thank you so much! i went from 20 ca downloadspeed up to 35¨downloadspeed! thanks! nice video! :D
After 3 technicians from spectrum could not figure out my slow internet problem i will try this..
Thank U so much!!!My wifi speed has been increased a lot yippee!!!
Agrim Vashisht help, im on mac and its not workinggg
King Bankshotz cool ur of my age 13 right?I have subscribed ur channel. Now let's get to the point, try the channels 1,6 and 11 and check out which one is faster

thanks a lot. I had spent my whole day just to fix the problem. My wifi connection randomly dropped after I unplugged the power. I had tried many ways to fix (restart/ factory reset/ update firmware) but those solutions didn't work at all. Thank God, I found your video instruction and it helped me alot. Now my wireless connection (both 2.4 and 5Ghz) work at full speed. Thank thank you so much!!!!
I think I've now witnessed the messiest Desktop in world history. Clean that up!
At least take, a mere few minutes, to toss them into a "New Folder" before clicking "Record." This arrogant content producer assumes I'd even waste a further moment watching his utter *garbage*. No way.
wow...
Are you ok...?
Nick Thomas, no I'm not. People like this shouldn't be allowed to post videos to RUclips.
you're either trolling or need to relax
It really works.. you can also download netgear diagnostic app and check your wifi channel on any smartphone.
DUDE THX SO MUCH
i had 4 Mbps on channel 6 i switched for channel 11 and i have around 40Mbps lol
me too bro.
Can you heloy me how I get 40mb? I also get 4 mb plz help desr
Is doing this illegal??my network speed also doubled
here's another tip for you - get ad block plus installed on your browser and get self destructing cookies put on as well as these two features will help in keeping your speed up and install gpedit to adjust your reservable bandwidth that windows keeps from you up to 20% can be gained which is a big plus
Download: 30 MB
Upload: 3 MB
I think that mine is a really good wifi!!
DespicableMatt yes it’s good
I got the same
Except my upload is 10mb
But some people have 100mb download
Or even better 1000mb
Wellg gud for u i will cry in the corner edit: i mean in my moms basement
@@AMVedits05 I have 400 mb/s and upload 393mb/s
Do the following for great speedup:
1. Download a free program for your phone (android) called wifi analyzer.
2. Scan all the channels and look for the channel with no other routers sharing it.
3. Set your router to that channel.
Enjoy.
Hope this helps. By the way, great video.
Bingo...... thanks buddy. amazingly increased speed...:)
Thanks for the video. Very clear, concise, But I do believe you made an error initially. Unless I'm mising something, you stated you weren't having luck on channel 6. Yet we see as soon as you get to the settings page where you can adjust it, you had Auto Channel Scan enabled. So even though it shows that you'd selected channel 6 before, you must've checked Auto Channel Scan before you exited, which defeats the point of selecting a particular channel.
In any case, it's good you pointed this out. Not a lot of people are aware of the potential impact this one setting can have on performance. 6 and 11 are suggested by TWC cable because, for whatever reason, they believe them to be the least active channels. Perhaps people assume that lower is better and set this to 1 more than any other channel? Not sure. But because TWC has been reccomending 6 or 11 for a couple of years now, it's safe to say that if you're in an area where TWC is the only ISP, you're gonna want to try any channel BUT 6/11.
For some people, channel hopping (Auto Channel Scan) does seem to help but it has the drawback of constantly working and resetting and in my experience, you're better off trying all 11 channels separately and comparing the results. For me, 11 actually was the best.
Did you just show your ip???
opps, maybe
+TipsNNTricks 😉
If you unplug your router for a few days and then plug it back in, you may just get a new IP address from the ISP DHCP server. it sometimes takes a week. So when you are on vacation for a week, make sure to unplug your router and all of your home networking equipment(should be done form time to time anyway) and you should get a fresh DHCP address if they have you on a week lease.
Dragonfoe Which makes me question why people pay for a dynamic IP since nobody ever does this 😂
Most PPL do not even know the difference between a DHCP IP address and a statically assigned IP. The exaggerated cost for a single statically assigned IP from an ISP is testimony to how rare they are. Unless you want to go IPV 6 you are relegated to the IP structure of a 10.?.?.? or a 192.?.?.? I would be much more concerned with the DNS server being established and configured by each ISP, they seem to make truly horribly designed DNS servers that route you through so many low end routers/servers to get to your final destination it adds far too much lag to your connection.
I tried every channel, it's unbelievable channel 8, have increase speed download by 37 mb and 10 mb for the upload... wow thank you mannnn!!!
"my internet speed is slow" has 10mps i only have 1mps
Mines 1.5, but same :(
Mine is 567 kb/ps :(
+Ants in my eyes Johnson thats is megabits per second not megabytes
+Ants in my eyes Johnson 10 is slow. mines 50 on a bad day, and 50 on a good day. (I have never had better but I still consider this pretty low end)
+Ants in my eyes Johnson I have 50kps..Imagine what I'm going through..
thanks, it works better with Ch1
For better signal range, set the router to 802.11 Mode: 802.11n Only
ofcourse, if you have older devices that are 802.11g only, use: g/n

you want to do a scan with your router and see what your neighbors are using for the frequency of 2.4 or 5ghz network you are connecting to, but if at all possible just plug straight in and get what you are paying for, you can never pull all of what you pay for over wifi, it would be impossible, unless of course no laws were in place, no safe guards and you did not mind the possibility of being microwaved inside and out on the random as well as risk such to any and all people within a 100 meter or so radius...... people so misunderstand wifi and what it actually is. A juiced up radio signal is all basically, Tesla was the first to propose it and they laughed really really hard at him, he also was the first to warn of long term exposure to such frequencies by organic lifeforms like ourselves...... and look at our world, that aside, CHECK what channel your neighbors are using, and if you have many bluetooth devices on, this can also effect wifi speed, so turn them off, any bluetooth dongle? pull it out if so
And whatever they are not using, use that, also enable, frame burst, and disable able wmm power saver, and enable wmm media server mode if at all possible on the router, and if you know your devices abilities, set the wifi stream to only broadcast the needed signal of wifi you need to connect. 802.11 n is a standard by now for most and that or g should be a pick for a normal everyday Joe or Jane but if you do not know have it set to mixed mode capable. And REMEMBER all consoles use partial packets for download and upload, this will slow down any wifi network sadly, so if possible hardwire any console so the rest of the house gets max wifi speeds because you want to disable partial packet sending, and this will cut any console off from wireless connection ability but give a massive increase in performance to everyone else, AP isolation is also good if many people and devices are connecting, but like always, first come first serve with data allocation over wifi with such selected lol
bruh that still slow
EewEeB wow that sucks
Channels 1, 6 and 11 are the most used channels. Have a program installed (i.e. wifi analyser) to check on your neighbors' channels then select one that is not used.
sadly its 2020, tried doing it on my own and am getting a error message....
We need a new trick now 😁
I did it and it doesn't have any problem?
Well the differences is that there's more channel option, 13 for me. But I use channel 6 and it's probably the best for me
Thanks man went from 10 to 1000 mbps! 100x better!

hey i use a cable broadband internet, it works just fine when i plug the cable directly into the desktop but the problem is when i use a router to connect internet the system shows the internet is connected but i am unable open a single page even my gateway login page it keeps on loading i have tried upgrading the firmware changing the router itself but i still face the same problem... please help me out
Manjeet Ahalawat Sounds like your modem and router are not playing well together. There is a problem going on with the two not syncing. That is what is going on. You will have to get the two working as a team. I had the same problem before I bought a modem/router combo. My speeds are clocking 125 Megs. Comcast speeds are hard to beat.
Bobg Gallagher. . I hv a dlink 600m router.. which is only a router not a modem router.. more over it works well at other places
Manjeet Ahalawat I had a lot of problems getting my modems to communicate with my routers. Connection issues. Solution for my problem was to get a all in one. Cable Modem/wireless router. No more problems with 2 separate devices communicating with each other. What is your modem?
Actually I don't use a modem I hv been provided with just a cable with rj 45 which is connected to my computer's ethernet port I put my user name and password on my service providers login page and that's all.. now I use a router in between the cable provided and and my computer to connect, it gets connected but does not load a page..
Manjeet Ahalawat Has your problem sorted out yet? :)
Thanks, bro. My 2.4 G band is now on fire. Initially, it was 1.99 MB download and 7.79 upload. I changed it to channel 11 and Download blasted to 32.06 Mb and upload to 35.21.
My mom changed my wifi speed....I want to change it back....BUT HOW
I was around 40mbps, now its 78.58 mbps. Switched from channel 11 to 1. Thanks bro.
hey please tell me how to do it in D-link 2730U
Eslam Hosny The exact same way...the site on that Dlink page he was on is the same for all dlink...u just have to follow his steps and enter ur own up address
you should also switch your band. you are using b/g/n right now, you should (unless you have order devices) just use the n band. "n" is capable of the highest speeds and will stop your computer from using slow b/g bands
thanks dude
your welcome:)
WHAts the control pannel for mac xD
Usually it will depend on if there are other router's close by. And if they are using similar channels as well. Channel one for your case was ideal for the wireless part.did you also check to see if you already had the same speed as you are hardwired into the router. I usually make modifications to my router here when hard wired into it. And sometime any major changes my need to reboot the router to take into effect.
addblock plus pleaseeeeeeeeeeee!
Thank you for the upload. Im going to give it a try and hopefully increase my download speeds.
hey
is it really happens
i mean after changing the channel of router settings
will the download speed from the ISP gets increased? or not.
plz reply ASAP..
Depends on your router.
Use channels 1, 6, and 11. They are non-overlapping channels. If you use wifi analyzer or something that you can view what channel everybody is on, try putting one of those three if one is crowded.
it's not working brother
same speed in every channel
what i do now?
Thank You So Much 🥰 Brother , Love From INDIA (Punjab) ❤️
Drift lab you obviously know nothing about computers.
you are genius dude thanks for the tip now my inter speed increased from 8mbps to 60mbps this is my actual plan
I tried it all and same speed :(
yea you might not have many other people around you so in that case it wouldnt matter what channel ur on because nothing is taking up the speed
I changed my channel 6 to 11 and my download speed went from 15 to 117. Amazing
Ping: 10
Download speed: 3.53
Upload Speed:0.89
Bad? or Good?
+RotiBrownBoi200 I mean if you are happy then its good but otherwise bad.
+RotiBrownBoi200 Relatively bad, but if you don't notice too much buffering and can comfortably watch RUclips videos it's not a big deal. I recently moved and my current speed is much, much lower than yours here. It sucks.
+RotiBrownBoi200 in online gaming it's great but in downloading or uploading videos it's bad
+RotiBrownBoi200 that is absolutely horrible. mine is 50 w\download and 6-9 upload, and I consider that pretty low end, even though I have never had better.
it depend what you paying for
Holy crap! This still works in 2021! Thank you so much
My result is : ping-2ms
download speed-283.96 Mbps
upload speed-282.92Mbps
not so fast:(
haha, he said not so fast
mine is just 100kbps
GD FireXDD ik you are joking so shut the fuck up because if the download and upload are shit your ping should be as high as possible... -2 ping is amazing for good internets.
And i'm sitting here with 10mbps and 1.00 upload....
Mine is only 10000000000 Gbps bruh it's too slow mate..... lol
As of this date 11.29.2019, my five ghz. speed testing on my Iphone X are about 100 to 115 Mbs. I used the PcMatic. com speed site for my testing. Now, on my Windows 7 laptop I tested about 50 to 60 Mbs on a five ghz signal and my windows ten desktop tested at about the same on a 2.4 Ghz signal. I could have did better on the desktop , but I’ve had issues with it where I’m unable to use it’s DVD drive to download the drivers neccessary to use the USB antennas. Thank you for the correspondence, Doug Fortner.....
7ping
228download
13upload
Is that good
Sometimes it goes upto 250 download
+channy that's awesome
what service do you have, i have blue stream which is a spinoff of comcast and on my 5gb wifi i get 140down nd 15up nd on 2.4gb i get 85-95down nd 15up
It's good for gaming
Are you from nasa?!
OMG!!?!! Yey. My download speed was 24 and my upload speed was 4..Now my download speed is 50 and my upload speed is the same!!I liked and subbed..Thanks a lot.
in nutshell, more wifi networks around with same channel is what decreases the speed... so changing the channel to the least used one increases the speed.
there is windows and android apps that scan the wifi waves spectrum and tills u which channel thous wifi routers near you using and how far (strong) there single and even recommends the best less crowded channel to use for you own router based on this area data.
most likely for androids it will ask for root permissions
tbh i cant recall the apps names atm. but i am sure google search will do.
its 100% work. at first i cant beleve but when i done all the step then its works sucessfull. thanks
Genius.... I think i found a great vedio.... Thank you so much brother....
If your router is okay, then most likely the line from your home to the router is too long and needs to be amped up a bit to be able to send the signal back sorta like a repeater....should be able to hook up an amp near your router screw the outside into it then the router to the other side of it and plug it in, it will boost up the signal significantly where you should not have these random drops in service from the isp sending too much power thru the modem when the signal is weak. They can be purchased for relatively cheap 20-50 bucks and it does work.
worked perfectly on channel 3,thanks alot dude!
amazing!! it worked for me.
how is it increasing the speed? Assume, by broadcasting with slightly different frequency reducing collision with other channel - 6 wifi users. Right?
actually it depends on other wifi signals....i mean that channel 1 worked because channel 1 was less populated by other wifi signals around your area(not many of the other wifi networks were using channel 1)......i wonder if in the future ,more channel be created(like total channels be 100)...then 1 wifi can connect to 1 channel and everyone can get the wifi speeds offered by our isp(no less)....
Im using pldt and i can't access and change my channel???
"Me thinks" this should work, but only in very "congested" areas where everyone is vying for the same channel. This requires that there are a lot of people USING that channel such as tenants in an apartment. There are apps that will show you wireless activity in your network and point out which channel(s) are being used the most (Most people never bother to change their channel on their router so most people are also fighting for that bandwidth.)
Holy crap I went up to 51 Download and 35 Upload. Thanks man
Thanks a lot bro it really help my wifi to speed up
from 10mbps now it is 40mbps.
Hey I had the exact same issue I was getting 10 instead of 20 thanks a lot man
Thank you for the great tip. I noticed your bandwidth on 20 instead of 40. Does it make a difference?
You need to reboot most routers after changing the channel. And all your wirelss devices need to reconnect on the new channel. That's probably why you saw no difference in speed the first time.
Was getting 600 mbps now 800. Should be getting 900 but my modem can't handle past 800. Good job.
Went from 2.5 to 8.
Thank you man.
Don't confuse Internet connection speed with the speed of your local network, adjusting the channel that your wireless (WIFI: in your home) is broadcasting on will not increase your internet speed. If the channel that you currently use is the same as an adjacent one (or a neighbours router/ AP) it will interfere with your WIFI signal only (other devices that can interfere with this signal are Bluetooth enabled devices and microwave ovens for example, a common Bluetooth device that operates and interferes with WiFi on the same frequencies are cordless phone systems). Adjusting this channel has no affect on your actual Internet Connections Sync Speed between your home and your ISP. This only applies to WiFi; If there is interference on a channel you use it will attenuate your wireless connection only. if this attenuation exceeds that of your internet connection speed, it is your network speed that is the problem. the typical channels in the 2.4ghz band you want to avoid overlap with is Channel 1, 6, and 11. If you do not use WIFI none of this Matters!! You do not need to continue reading and/ or you do not need to watch the above video!!!!!So if your neighbours etc. router is broadcasting on channel 1. choose channel 6 or 10 for example. If another neighbour uses channel 6 or another channel near it like 4,5,7 or 8 . then you use channel 11. If you are in an area where all channels (1 through 11) in the 2.4ghz band are used, find the one that has the least amount of overlap or upgrade to a higher standard like 802.11n or 802.11ac which support 5ghz if your wireless signal is that important. As long as the channels do not overlap you will not suffer interference from them. To scan channels in use, use a channel analyser on either your mobile phone, laptop, or even a tower / desktop pc with a wifi adapter: link to android based scanner play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.farproc.wifi.analyserOr a good router will have the ability to scan channels and display them for you itself without the need of any extra toolN.B Depending on the 802.11 standard your router/ access point /WiFi modem can operate on, you may not be able to receive your full internet connection speed while using WiFi. If your Internet connection speed exceeds these standards you will not benefit from a faster internet connection. Again this only applies to using Your own WiFi !!!!!!!!!!!!!!If your device supports 802.11b the maximum theoretical speed you will get over WiFi is 11Mbps (1.3 Megabytes per second)If it supports 802.11b + g which is the current standard, you can operate on b speeds or g speeds. 802.11g theoretical maximum speed is 54Mbps (6.7 Megabytes per second)If it supports 802.11n (modern routers/ ap's), its theoretical maximum speed is up to 135 Mbps (16.8 Megabytes per second)And I would severely doubt it but if you are fortunate enough to have a device capable of 802.11ac its theoretical maximum speed is up to 866Mbps (108 Megabytes per second)Note: Mbps = megabits per second (this is what your internet speed is advertised as eg. 1Mbps, 10Mbps, 50Mbps, 100Mbps)MBps = megabytes per second (typically what data transfer rate is reported under an OS like Windows)There are 8 bits per Byte, so: 8 bits = 1 Byte, therefor 1024 bits = 128 kiloByteslower case letter b denotes bits. uppercase B denotes Bytes; Kbps = kilobits per secondKBps = kilobytes per secondMbps = megabits per secondMBps = Megabytes per secondISP Advertised Speed = data transfer rate in kbps = data transfer in KBps = data transfer in MBps1 Mbps = 1024 kilobits* per second = 128 kilobytes* per second = 0.125 megabytes* per second8 Mbps = 8092 kilobits* per second = 1024 kilobytes* per second = 1 megabytes* per second20 Mbps = 20480 kilobits* per second = 2560 kilobytes* per second = 2.5 megabytes* per second50 Mbps = 51200 kilobits* per second = 6400 kilobytes* per second = 6.25 megabytes* per second100 Mbps = 102400 kilobits* per second = 12800 kilobytes* per second = 12.5 megabytes* per secondThe * denotes the wrong prefix but it is the popular "metric" prefix ( kilo actually denotes 1000 in the standard). 1024 bits are actually called 128 kibibyte'sFor comparisons between kilobytes and kibibytes or Megabytes and Mebibytes im sure you can google if you don't already know.Source Network Technician / Engineer!RUclips's comments do not appear to support formatting!! above looks like a mess now :(
Yes it worked from 5mbs to 16mbps :) thanks man!
Idk why i have download Mbps 184.94 and upload Mbps 21
Thanks so much! Just tried this and getting less buffering. Internet still stinks...CenturyLink... but it's a little better.
Glad it worked for you, but I have the same router and there was no noticeable change. Even after switching and saving several times. And like yours, the auto setting had chosen channel 6.
Even better if you are using a desktop pc , use lan cable !
After 8 years it works thanks your effrot man
Thank u dude......your suggestion worked.....u saved my time
Very nice, your method helps me improve speed 50%
damn that desktop apps arrangement.
I tried it and it is awesome
So much liked it
Thanks
Very useful trick !!!
I have a newer Arris SBG6580 (Motorola) which originally provided 61 megs with the Ethernet download and about 40 megs via the WI-FI. The Ethernet has stayed strong, but the WI-FI download has dropped to one meg without affecting the upload speed at all. Changing the broadcast channel to seven has only increased the download speed to one and a half megs. Channel seven is the only one that has made a difference in speed.
Thanks man, it worked for me! You're awesome for sharing this
Hi, nice video..this helps a lot. But do you have a video on how to increase the area coverage of my wifi at home using d-link like yours too. Thanks if ever for your help.
Superb... Work Really Great.... Thanks...
Seriously the first place people should look. Try different channels, this applies to 5ghz range as well. I doubled my speed just by switching channels on my router. (and this is 6 years after the video was posted)
Thanks, Channel 2 worked best for me
920kbp to 1.2Mp thanks buddy it worked
Thax channel no 1 is working for me
Thanks it worked for me!
