I see what you meant. Grease up front and rear end real good, plastic spur gear, maybe even plastic internal transmission gears in the metal transmission. Take off the dustcover or use an open cover. That may negate some of the noise.

@@OGRadGrow Is it the Gears or Electronics ? I am new but i heard you can put those resistor things on the motor to quite quiet (LOL) it up ? I put real Car Bearing grease in my gear box, Helped. Yea the noise can get annoying. My Wife hates them all LOL

@JamesDirtRC a little of both. The squel is the electronics and that transmission has all metal gears. A quality outrunner will be much better. This is a $30 9imod (Amazon) outrunner motor, so....This was just a parts bin build.
