That extra bit after filling the jars goes in a bowl for “use now.” All the foamy bits I spoon onto a piece of bread and have as a cook’s treat before washing up.

I must try making the marmalade, looks fun. I treated myself to a jar of marmalade from my local farm shop at Christmas. It was probably the best marmalade I have had, but certainly a luxury treat at £3.99.

Haven't seen a marmalade kit before. Very interesting. I make marmalade (more of a spread really) in the food processor and then the microwave. Smaller batches but I can mix different types of citrus.

It's so lovely to make your own preserves.

I think perhaps the notch in your bowl may be for chopsticks as it is probably a ramen bowl? I love the colour. I make Mamade marmalade for our supplies. you can get marmalade cheaper but for this quality of preserve packed with tangy orange loveliness , you are definitely saving. Thanks for all the work you put into your channel. I live not too far away in sunny Essex and love seeing what you get up to!

I might be wrong, but I think the bowl may be used to keep your yarn from rolling away. Great vlog.

My mum used Marmade every year and made orange and gooseberry Marmalade with the berries from our garden. I must admit it was a strange colour, but the flavour was delicious.

We buy very little jelly or jams so I would not make any from scratch. Interesting. I have never seen a kit for making marmalade in the USA. Mostly in the US people eat jelly or jams not marmalade.

@@georgiakyriacou4352 I think less sugar would work as others have said they reduce it, but actually it’s really nice as it is. The parsnip and apple recipe can be found on the BBC good food website. I loved it
