- I turned one section of my backyard into another desert garden. This time, I used all Echinopsis and Trichocereus cacti. These types of cactus are known for their large, colorful and attractive flowers. It will surely be a spectacular display if I can make these cacti bloom every year.

Fingers crossed for next year! 😉 Thanks for watching.
It is beautiful Ana! Love how you transformed it! Beautiful cacti and hope to see them blooming! Thanks for sharing! Love Sylvia!
Thank you, Sylvia! That gives me confidence on this garden I made. 😊
My favorite videos from you cactus caffeine, desert landscaping ☺️ sana all may enough space for that. 😆
Kahit sa pot, dish garden na lang. 😉
I love the way you did the landscaping. Beautiful.
Thank you!
Thanks for sharing your new garden planting.
Sometimes breaking clay pots can be avoided by loosening the soil around the inner circumference with a dollar store stainless steel icing spatula.
Can’t wait to see next Spring’s blooms. 😸✌️
Haha. Thanks for that tip! Sometimes I get lazy and do the easy way out. 🤣
@@CactusCaffeine Gluing broken pots back together is one of my favorite leisure activities, but due to a lack of leisure, I try to avoid it. 😸✌️
I am so grateful to have a your guidance thru your love of these desert friends.
Thank you. That is so heart warming. 🙂🌵☕️
Im soo exciteeeeeeeeddd
The different colors of the rocks and thier patterns are what really caught my eye Ana👀🐧🌵
I’m glad. Without the flowers, the cacti are not as interesting to look at. I can at least stare at the rocks. 😄
@@CactusCaffeine LOL.....well....not to give you my life story but I grew up in Phoenix AZ and saw slot of desert landscape...then I spent my high school years in Washington state where EVERYTHING is green....then I came back in '05 and HATED desert landscaping.... mostly I think because of all the dilapidated yards with half dead under cared for cactus with patches of overgrown Bermuda grass 🤮....
But what I've definitely come to understand and appreciate about desert landscape is the subtle beauty of it all.....so maybe there isn't a bunch of green or a hundred flowers everywhere but the beauty is definitely there!!!!
I think the cuttings in the back are Trichocereus spachianus. A common cactus used in landscaping in so. California. Large white night bloomers!!! Love the poco!!! Should be quite a sight next spring!!!! Turned out great!!! Thanks for sharing Ana!!! From Morris Park in the Ozarks ,out to Las Vegas, have a wonderful evening!!! Peace, Love, Plants!!!! ✌💖🌵🌺🌿🏵🌲🌻🌳🌹🌴🌷🪴😃👍
Oh, you could be right on the Trichocereus spachianus. I looked up the name and they look similar in growth pattern. I do have another Spachianus but it is fatter as it is nursery pampered. I just planted it in the ground in another section of my backyard. Hope they all survive our brutal summer.
Great Idea for my backyard. Thank you. Beautiful looking garden.
Oh, I wish you can make one too in your garden. So fun doing it. 😃
So cute I love your choices of top dressing
Thank you. I’m glad it worked out with whatever I have leftover. 😉
Nice job, Ana. Thanks for sharing.
You new bed makes me want to live where you are and that is saying something because Oregon has it all going on here. Nice work!
It has its advantages and disadvantages. 😉
Amazing scenery!! Nice job :)
Very good arrangement love it
Giving me a push to transfer my Cacti into the ground. I've been more of a potted plant person so I can move them around, "change my landscaping" kinda-thing".
Go for it if you can! I find it easier to take care of them when they are in the ground. As long as I know that they are hardy, I’d rather have them permanent. But of course, the majority, I still have to keep them in pots and move them as season changes. 😉
Looks great Ana!!! Thanks for sharing
Very very beautiful!! Wow
I love your design. Please post updates of how your garden grows.
Oh, definitely! Thank you!
Beautiful garden setup Mam Ana 😊 Hope they'll grow healthy and gorgeous can't wait to see them bloom flowers 🌵🍀🌼🌸🌱😊
Oh Salamat. You are so kind. Hope they survive our summer!
Great idea! 💚💚💚
Awesome addition to your cactus garden area, Ana. Looks great and looking forward to seeing how well everything does. Haha I may have to use that method on a terracotta pot myself soon, got one that needs a repot. Thank you for sharing with us as always, Ana. Have a wonderful Sunday from Edith & myself 🌵☀️🌸🌺🌼🏜☕️
Haha. Good thing it’s just a terracotta pot and not an expensive pot like talavera. 😁
Very nice. I wish I could keep a cactus garden. Michigan is too cold 🥶
Anna.. do you know which species of cactus do the Fairy castle cactus is in??
Very beautiful!
looks so cool. I hope to have a cactus garden someday too.
You can make it happen! I told myself that 4 5 years ago. 😉
More power to your channel po. God bless to you and your Baby Cacti 🥰🥰🥰

Thank you. You can do it! 😉
Hi Anna. Can't wait for them to flower next year. Looking forward to it 💕
Me too. But first they have to survive our brutal summer. 😉
@@CactusCaffeine 💪🏋️♀️🏜️
Looks great. cant wait to see it in full bloom
🤞🏼 Fingers crossed. They have yet to survive summer and winter, first. 😉
@@CactusCaffeine I know they will do great!
So so soooooo beautifull ... love it 🤩
Thank you ☺️
I love it! You've done so much with your yard and each of your gardens look beautiful. I hope this one rewards you with a gorgeous display of blooms!
Hoping for more flowers next year. But first, this garden has to survive its first summer and winter. Fingers crossed. Thanks Eileen!
I love this! Well done, it looks great.. ❤
Your new project is great, Ana! I can't wait to see the colors of the flower garden, but have a coffee first! ☕ ang ganda ng bagong project mo, Ana! Hindi ako makapaghintay na makita ang mga kulay ng hardin ng bulaklak, mag kapeng marako ka muna! (I tried... 😁) 🌺🌸🌵🌴
Magaling! That was a good one. I appreciate you using my native language. I give you a 🥇 in this comments section. 👍🏼😄
Awesome project!
Thanks!
Super beautiful
Thank you. ☕️🙂
Beautiful new set up 👍 such an amazing passionate hobby that one can never get enough of 🌵
So true! Thank you.
Wonderful! I'm celebrating the 2022 Australian election results with buying 3 new cactus! A Gymnocalycium, and possibly a second but different and with lots of pups! And also an old man cactus, my first of each of those species.
Oh nice! A reason to buy more cactus. 😉😄🌵🌵🌵
great job like it
Thanks!
Yay Ana 😊! I love it! Now where do I find the human soil tamper thing? 😂 I can't wait to see that section have your super blooms 🥰😍
Lol! When you don’t have the tools but you need it done. 🤣
Very nice Ana 🙂 Just needs a camel now 😁
Haha! We don’t have camels here. That’s a different kind of desert. 🤣 But we have mountain lions and snakes. 🫣 🦁 🐍
@@CactusCaffeine How about Guanacos? They're a bit like Llamas and they eat cacti 😮😮😁
👍😊💜🌵
Bellezas !! Te envío una foto de
Mi cactus que dura 12 horas! Gracias
I put in a large cactus bed a couple years ago, and my cactus just took off, they grow much faster inground, i already need to move some cuz they are crowding n growing into others, so be careful about how close your planting them
Oh that’s true! Thanks for the advice! 🙂☕️🌵
Stupendo giardino!(◍•ᴗ•◍)❤
Thank you! 😊🌵☕️
Teach that pot a lesson, Anna!
Hahaha! 😂
If you keep the plant in the pot, do you have to change the soil one in awhile? If yes , how often. Thank you Anna😘You are a good teacher, I appreciate all you help.
@@ieliutjia3137 it is a good practice to do so every 4 years or more. But it is not necessary if your cactus is still growing well . For big pots, I amend the soil by adding worm casting. 🙂
@@CactusCaffeine thank you soo much!💕
What is the best fertilizer for the growth of cactus, and for flowering
Hi Anna, what do you do to get blooms? I know I ha e to keep cacti bone dry in winter and they should bloom in spring?, but mine don't bloom. What do you suggest?
