An AWD swapped rx7 with a 10 inch widebody and turbo 4rotor pushing 2000hp... And that's not even mentioning aging wheels' electric dual motor 900hp ford escape
I thought you were well known for being the first guy who integrated a game of where’s Woolley into fitting a engine. The games simple remove then refit the engine from your car. Turn the ignition on and wait for the disappointment as you realise it won’t start as you’ve left a wire loose or not connected. Next step is first to find the loose/unconnected wire wins.😉😂😂😂

Surprised you guys didn't include Project Binky from Bad Obsession Motorsports. It's a Leyland Mini with the entire drivetrain from a Celica GT-Four. It been an on-going project for the guys for over 10 years.
One channel/build people really need to check out is "Build It Yourself". Dudes built a set of 4 valve heads for a Ford V10 and put them on a fully built block, got it running and they're putting it in a RWD converted late model Lincoln Continental. I get that they're not "Influencers"/part of the YT car influencer clique, so they never get the recognition they deserve, but everyone needs to check them out. It's incredible what they've managed to pull off. I guess they spend their energy on the build more than marketing.

To be fair, all he did with the Plaidessy was move the body over on top of the tesla frame. Theres no interior. Its more of a body swap than a sleeper. If he had made it look like a stock odessey interior and all, then that would be impressive. Anyone can cut the body off a minivan and slap it on a tesla frame...
I can't explain why, and James don't take this the wrong way, but you're the personification of the feeling ya get like you're about to sneeze but then don't. I don't understand it myself, but I needed to get that off my chest.
That’s the first thing I thought of. Dudes got three projects that could be in that list alone, though one is already famous through Jay Leno. The Tesla Jag, the Off-road viper and his Honda s600 are all list worthy. The fact that the viper didn’t end up on the list when Donuts been known to love their dodges surprises me.

I’ve met so many great content creators because of Donut. To think some random video on my home page about mechanics react would take me in a journey of new creators with ideas and the steps to implement them to reality is such a great thing because learning even the smallest thing from a video has made me appreciate these channels more than what is usually on the trending/home page. Sure it’s expensive but if it’s something you spend so much of your life in then it will probably be worth it. It’s good to know that most of these cars are just because they can and it’s nice not to be sold a fantasy that anyone can but they give enough knowledge to me at least to know I don’t have to spend $500,000 when it’s easier to just upgrade what I have to maintain and have a better viewpoint. Sure I just got divorced after 10 years but she wasn’t good for me or my son I have no car but I have my son and dreams that are attainable so Thanks donut.

Probably the longest build series on yt has got to be bad obsession motorsports Binky. The level of fabrication is out of this world and Binky looks fantastic.

I've seen videos like this from donut before and I don't think they've ever even mentioned him despite his popularity and insane builds. There's gotta be a reason he's not talked about, I doubt there's any bad blood but maybe it has something to deal with his persona like how he dunks on the car community a fair amount.. that plus the destruction of rare/sought after cars maybe wouldn't be good for donuts' viewership or sponsors I'm guessing.

I’d like to see your take on this video idea: what is the best kind of car to make for the apocalypse? You can do a video on which is the best kind of car to drive, but I’m more interested in what kind of car you should make based on the parts that are available if an apocalypse happens. The rules: By Apocalypse, I mean that there is no longer any infrastructure. Gasoline refinement is minimal to none. Same thing for any kind of parts. The only parts that you would have available would be those that you might find in a junkyard or an abandoned demolished car dealership that has been left abandoned for at least 10 years and is subject to the environment and the degradation of wind and water and so forth. Any kind of vehicle can provide parts, so long as you can justify being able to find them. The winning car should have the easiest ability to repair, the easiest ability to power, and be reliable in an environment where reliability is dependent on how well you can maintain your car, and how well it can handle damage roads, bullets and arrows, and any number of environmental hazards.
They already did it, but before the build was complete. Idk if they will do it again but it would be nice. Especially since the vilebrequin channel came to an abrupt ending.
Great list. Thank you. Will check some of them out for sure! :) Bit gutted you didn't include Project Binky by Bad Obsession Motorsport. Original Austin Mini with a GT-Four Turbo 4WD conversion. Still ongoing to this day. But absolutely amazing! Fabrication is next level.
We have an actual teenager here that has a complete build from the start on an old Toyota Tacoma with a Mercedes 300d diesel swap and it's tuned at around 400-500 hp if I remember right, and it's usually cruising around on slicks on cruise nights and it rips, nice work on that. Also another with a Ford Fairmont with coyote swap with turbos, and is turning over insane hp and is probably 5 different colors, and doesn't usually lose. What's cool is on the front fender he decided he was goin to put tally marks on everything he's beat, he has several hellcats and Teslas etc. so far.
I think we are in the Golden era of Car RUclipsrs. Seems like they are filling the void that Top Gear left (the OG). There is so many and so much great content it feels like the bubble is going to pop in the next few years.
i watch every episode of KC customs, its basically a s10 on air ride with a CRX frame sitting ontop of it but that amount of cutting welding and custom fab is nuts, ontop he does other car builds at the same time and gives them away, guy is truly a mad scientist with a grinder lol
@@promethbastard you have a point. It was gold colored with matching rims and interior. It was really nice. Said he can't take off in 1st gear most of the time because he spins the tires.
What's so funny about the limo tackling a 45° incline, is the fact that unironically it's probably way more stable because of the wheelbase. So long as you got the ground clearance, you don't have to worry about over sending it and accidentally flipping it
I am gald the D list is back but, I am desapointed that you didn't look out of america. And you didn't talked about Vilebrequin who made a 1300 hp Fiat Multipla with a unique Rocket Bunny body kit, unique Works wheels with the deepest dish made by Works. On top of that, it drove at the 100th 24h of Le Mans on the circuit. Please make another and this time, check out of the US
This list could be so much longer with any of SuperFastMatt's builds, Nightride with Kevin, Peter from Finland with the Volvoghinis, StanceWorks with the 244 and so much more
@@bonkman6463 it wouldn’t have taken 500 days of begging if they actually wanted to do it. But what do I know, maybe they won’t now because he lost determination.
As a Certified Tesla Technician my first thought about the custom roadster is "will the body panels fit like a normal tesla, shitty?" Then I saw the welder and all the rods and died in my chair. If he doesn't get banned from tesla for life for that, I'd be absolutely shocked. Tesla does not encourage any welding on their vehicles due to the underbody battery; instead they provide massive body rivets to section out panels (mated with bonding techniques). They've threatened to ban our shop just because we don't have a dedicated aluminum sander.
The best ones are Superfast Matt, just for being very witty alone, but also Home Built By Jeff, Macro Machines, Grindhard Plumbing Co and Uncle Tony’s Garage.

As a Toyota Prius who catfishes people as a Lexus LFA I will say I love donut
i watch every episode of KC customs, its basically a s10 on air ride with a CRX frame sitting ontop of it but that amount of cutting welding and custom fab is nuts, ontop he does other car builds at the same time and gives them away, guy is truly a mad scientist with a grinder lol
🤣🤣 you’re not wrong lol
So glad Mat is getting the recognition he deserves
Gungium needs to be on this list the Miata swap is bananas
"Radiottter" lmao James narration is epic!
You should have mentioned the 1000tipla, a 1300hp Fiat Multipla who made multiple laps in the Le Mans 24H track
They mentioned it in an older "youtubers builds" video
Nooo way!!
The D-List just made a comeback!!
I worked at AutoZone for a few years and had a guy come in with a Fiero with a 4.9 liter V8 shoe-horned in the back. He said it would fly.
Dude's got some balls driving a Fiero in the first place though
@@promethbastard you have a point. It was gold colored with matching rims and interior. It was really nice. Said he can't take off in 1st gear most of the time because he spins the tires.
Has Donut seen the VW Squareback with twin front mounted flat 4 engines to make a flat 8?
The thing is insane.
the guy building the Quadra V-tech needs a shout out
Burning wrenches is the channel name I think, that project has been in the making for years now
Glad to see D-List back! Though you guys should try magnetic nameplates for the list, it's less of a D-List at the end, and more of a D-Pile 🤣
They had magnets, but probably gave up on them because a few of them didn't stick right
Cleetus: BRING BACK THE DRIVING UNDERWATER SERIES
That is all.
How did Monster Max not make this list? 2 motors + Jet engine isn't crazy enough?
Yeah, I was expecting whistlindiesel to be on here especially with monster max
You don't tell Cody to chill
Im a little sad yall didnt mention whistlin diesel's functional jet engine addition to MonsterMax 2. That kids doing crazy things
What's so funny about the limo tackling a 45° incline, is the fact that unironically it's probably way more stable because of the wheelbase. So long as you got the ground clearance, you don't have to worry about over sending it and accidentally flipping it
Tom's refurb deserve more love
I am gald the D list is back but, I am desapointed that you didn't look out of america. And you didn't talked about Vilebrequin who made a 1300 hp Fiat Multipla with a unique Rocket Bunny body kit, unique Works wheels with the deepest dish made by Works. On top of that, it drove at the 100th 24h of Le Mans on the circuit. Please make another and this time, check out of the US
Where's Whistling Diesel's big thing?
Where’s monster max forsure
Piss on WD. He pays company to build his stuff
Meh
This list could be so much longer with any of SuperFastMatt's builds, Nightride with Kevin, Peter from Finland with the Volvoghinis, StanceWorks with the 244 and so much more
cartube is so crazy yet so friggin chill and welcoming. i love most car people.
Where is that guy waiting for James to give an "Up to speed" about James' dad??
I’m so happy he’s gone
@@SuperHyper-_ why lol, I havent seen pagani gaming in over an year or two
@@bonkman6463 it wouldn’t have taken 500 days of begging if they actually wanted to do it. But what do I know, maybe they won’t now because he lost determination.
WHERES THE MULTIPLA FROM VILEBREQUIN
whistlindiesel:am I a joke to you?
Our boy Cody better be on the list. Monster max is nuts
Ayo where is Wistlindisel?
where whistlin at??? Surprised he didnt make the list
He has recieved a lot of flak for "harassing" people who put his content in their videos, and threatening to sue unless they pay him... not shocked donut isn't including his projects in their videos anymore
What he did to those Dior 1s.....he doesn't deserve to be recognized for anything ever again
It's not a sports car but I appreciate the engineering that went into the youtube guys that built the off-road tow truck.
Crazy that they didn't mention the "Build it yourself" channel who made their own V10 engine and are dropping it into a late model Lincoln Continental with a RWD conversion and GT500 subframe. It's my favorite build on RUclips right now
Fun fact: everyone else including me who is commenting right now hasn’t even watched half the video yet vf
😂
WhistlinDiesel?
A 4x4 he'll cat is the last thing people need imagine a takeover in the desert😂😂😂
He'll cat lol autocorrect did you dirty
So happy to see you giving some love to Casey’s customs and toms refurb I love those channels
Casey's Customs is an awesome YT channel. Entertaining feller that specializes in body swaps and bagging everything he gets his hands on.
