I bought this for my 2000 Silverado and it kind of worked. It gives me a random set of miles on the cluster, entering the number on the Xtool doesn't seem to follow a km to mile conversion or any kind of logic and changing imperial to metric on the settings doesn't make a difference. Entering 400,000 gave me 127 miles on the cluster which doesn't make any sense, then entering 474,212 is somehow 939,391 on the cluster. I also had the same problem as where the mileage didn't change. Some numbers just don't work while others do.
@@onionrudnik6576 I gave around $100 for the x100 pro2 and then it was for personal use so I figured anything I accomplished with it was luck. That was before I got certified and opened the lockshop side business. I keep meaning to grab my x100 pad3 and seeing if it'll adjust the miles on our cars.
I need to change the cluster on Nissan Sentra 2005 because I can't read the miles anymore unless I turn dash lights on and it's dark outside. if you are able to try it, it would be appreciated.
Hi I replaced the cluster Odo on my 2004 Yukon SLT so the new cluster shows 130,000 more than original cluster so I bought the x100 pro2 to get the job done but I couldn't.. probably the software of the tool doesn't support the vehicle I try... So I try with 4 more vehicles different brands and type of test neither works doesn't support the vehicle that's what it keeps showing..
When I had this unit, I was mainly correcting the mileage on imported vehicles (mostly BMW and Mercedes). As this video showed, I had no luck on this GM vehicle. I haven't needed to adjust mileage with my xtool pro 3 so I don't know if the tablet would work.
It can only read the mileage recorded to the computer is connected to. So if you did an engine swap but kept the same computer, the store mileage wouldn't change.
I haven't had this device for a few years, but if you're getting an eeprom message, you'll prob need either an eeprom cradle or clip. I'm not sure this model works with one.
I changed my cluster on my car, using this tool will it change the mileage on the cluster/odometer and also on the ECU? Does it sync all over the car? I have an 2005 Mercedes-Benz W211 which has the mileage save in several places.
Only on odometer. If the guys have special tools they will easily figure it out by reading multiple blocks where real mileage is stored, unless you remove and reprogram those blocks manually.
My experience has been if any after market parts connecting to the ECU are in place, then it's very hit or miss. This Monte was my wife's old car and it was getting junked so I didn't worry about messing anything up. I've passed this tool to my son and now have the Xtool x100 pad3, but have not done any mileage correction with it so far. I'll ask him to shoot video on any corrections he does.
Would it help if you do a veicle history before adjusting the miles? And check what was last report? Also does bringing the car to dealership to a trade in evaluation , count as “report”? Thank you for your help
I have not, but they are listed on the system. I don't do a lot of mileage resets for legal reasons...just occasionally when a customer has self replaced the gauge cluster.
@@marvinrivera7947 Which tablet. Some vehicles require the ECU to be reprogrammed/adjusted, other's have a "prep" procedure to put it in learning/programming mode. I usually have to find the details in a service manual for the specifics.
Unfortunately, I no longer have this programmer, but there does seem to be a theme with it not working with GMC/Chevy products. I will test with my xtool pro pad3 and see if there is a difference between GMC/Chevy and other makers.

Yes that does count as a report. They will have your mileage.
friend, does she program her car keys until what year does she accept?
The programmer covers a wide range of make/model/years, but as long as it has an OBD2 port, you should be able to program it.
