1. Last F1 car to win the F1 championship with a manual gearbox 2. The only F1 car to win the F1 championship with a V12 engine 3. Senna’s last F1 championship winning car
The last manual transmission car and 12 Cyl car to win the world championship. Driven by the greatest of all time. In my opinion the best sounding car of all time.
@@ivanjulian2532 Why would I define it for you? You can define it yourself. Greatness is subjective. If you polled all the drivers from the past four decades who do you think they would win as the consensus best driver?
I love how Marshall sent the message to ZB to encourage him to let Tony drive that specific car. I cannot imagine how powerful that moment was for TK. His description of Ayrton Senna is priceless. So powerful. And speaking of just the car. When I think of F1 that is the exact car I see in my head. It is a timeless image!
Here is a funny story about T. Kanaan and Senna. The later Kart race that he was talking about in 1:11 was organized by Senna in his farm in Tatuí, State of Sao Paulo. There was q qualify for the race, and Tony got the Pole Position, but out of the blue Senna Said: "Let's make this more fun, the race will be done with the inverted positions". So Tony started in the last one. And won the race. Passing everyone, including Senna.
Tears come to my eyes….I know the feeling as I bought the NSX that belonged to “Braguinha” and was driven by Senna on several occasions…the day I seated on it first time was a torrent of feelings…..
I’ve heard the story of Senna helping Tony before but it’s still awesome to think somebody got that close to the Legend. Tony was a Pall Bearer tor Senna.
I wonder if Kanaan would have made it to F1 if Senna had lived. He (and Castroneves) certainly had the talent. I wish there were more Brazilian F1 drivers. The grid just seems incomplete without representation from this great racing country.
MP4/6-10 Senna's car for Italy, Portugal and Spain in 1991. Finished 2nd, 2nd and 5th. Absolutely beautiful thing. Wonderful moment for a Brazilian driver to drive a Senna car.
Tony, as a Brazilian, I couldn’t see anyone better than you to drive this car! Hope you have enjoyed this it, felt what the “chefe” used to feel . I’m sure, Senna would be proud of you as your daddy sure would when you won Indianapolis! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Parabéns! Você merece!
I saw Senna driving this car at the portuguese GP 1991❤ the GOAT no matter how many championships others have own or will win. AYRTON WILL ALWAYS BE THE GREATEST

Tony deserves to make this dream come true. He is a really a warrior through all his life, and Senna means too much for us, not just a driver, but as an example of how hardwork is important, how look for perfection, how details really do matter. And most of all: an example of real kindness, not the way people do nowadays, mostly to show in social medias, but to give a chance to whom work hard after some achievment.
Wow, thank you so much for this Video. For us in Brasil Senna was and will be always the best racer driver ever. It's exciting to see TK with the Chief's car (as we affectionately call Senna here).

THE greatest F1 car of all time. Only a few come even close, not trying to take away anything from modern cars and drivers but those cars were different (powerful and raw) and demanded real drivers at the wheel, todays cars are more tame and easy to drive.
Driving those cars were physically so hard. Today they cruise around almost on auto pilot. In those days the skills on how to use the clutch the pedals, gear shifters and the car control of these extremely powerfull and unstable cars is what set them apart a the best era of drivers.
My favorite driver ever... and the Formula 1 car I fell in love with when I started watching in 1991. How simple they looked and how incredibly efficient they were... Back to Senna, he wanted to win without slowing down. It cost him a victory in Monaco. I, for one, appreciated his tenacity. I saw some of that in Mansell and a young Juan Pablo Montoya. The car wasn't perfect? Who cares! They would drive the thing, end of the story.
Let's all take a moment for the guy or gal that was to drive the Senna car before Tony's people put a broom stick into the front wheel of that happening ;-)

Senna was a complex human bean. A complex driver. Amazing car, amazing years...
Unpopular opinion, but I always thought the MP4/6 was prettier than the MP4/4. A beautiful race car.
Not unpopular at all...imo the 1993 one was the prettier one tho
1993 was ruined by max Mosleys decision to reduce the rear tyre width from 18inch to 15inch. Looked ridiculous.
Shout out the cameraman who filmed this! Ditto to the editor.
Kaanan and Castroneves are Brazil's greatest drivers since Senna.
I hope they fixed the gear box since Brazil 1991

The barcode in place of Marlboro is a tough deal to see. If you scan the code on William T. Ribbs car it links you to the Marlboro Menthol man page.
That livery though was one that was also raced. On that model of car it was used in the 1991 British Grand Prix.

Needed to keep the Marlboro logos on. You can’t erase history.
Well learn history then. First lesson is to watch the 1991 British Grand Prix. It's a nogo though to put censored historic pictures on the internet.
