    Trichologist here! I’m so happy to see that the girls are starting to look at things from a scientific point of view instead of just going by “passed down” generational hair care practices that the older generation taught us. Your hair looks beautiful my dear and you are right on track! Looking forward to watching your journey

    My routine is simple and I keep my hair in twists 95% of the time. I wash every 10 days and I use a sulfate/clarifying shampoo every wash for the 1st wash and a moisturizing shampoo for the second. I condition and deep condition every wash, too. I don't detangle until it's time to retwist because I wash and condition with my twists in. That's kept my breakage and shedding down to a minimum. I moisturize on wash day and that's it. I'm in my bonnet/satin lined beanie about 95% of the time because I'm just home puttering around the house most days. There's no reason for it to be out. And that keeps my hands out of it which helps too. I take vitamins and supplements as well. Since I'm getting my vitamin D levels back to normal I see the difference in my hair! It's crazy how one vitamin being low can affect everything else in and on your body! But I only trim when needed instead of on a schedule like I've seen so many people say/suggest. My stylist said there's no need for a trim if you're not worried about having even ends when they're healthy and not split. My routine has made split ends rare for me so I don't trim much. I don't mind my hair not being in a perfect line when straight as long as my ends are healthy and not split. But it's still pretty good as far as it all being even in length, from my last trim. Sweet and simple has really been the focus for my hair growth journey and it's really been working well for me so I'm sticking to it. ❤❤❤

    Once I started trimming my hair every 3 months, my hair has grown a lot! Deep conditioning weekly WITH heat, washing my hair weekly, trimming only when it’s needed, & keeping my ends moisturized has helped me tremendously. Also only refreshing once rather than on wash day

    - I’ve done a lot of the same things to my hair that you mentioned in this video for years and my hair thrives as well. In November 2022 I cut my mid back length hair into a shoulder length bob. By November 2023 my hair was back to mid length and my stylist was shook to say the least. I am a firm believer in weekly hair washing, a steady routine and using great products for hair growth. Great video, Tiana! 🤎🤎

    You got right into it, no BS. thank you. Other girls just show off their long, long hair and never talk about "how" to get long hair.
    'moisturizing' and 'hydrating" are two different things. you can 'moisturize' the outside cortex of the hair shaft, and you "hydrate" the inner layers of the hair shaft. Two different methods.

  • @thisgurl1123

    My main thing that keep my hair growing long is protective styles and making sure my hair is never dry. When my hair is dry is break so bad.

  • @Flauntyourselff
    @Flauntyourselff Год назад +17

    Also I would recommend dry detangling with oil. That’ll help reduce the breakage you receive because like you said, your hair is weaker when wet because those hydrogen bonds are broken

    Trimming quarterly works for well for my daughter as well. I use to trim once a year if that. Then 9months, still too long. Even tried 6months and it was still a no go. Just too many split damaged ends. Every 3 months has minimized splits and need for a cut. I also dust in a blown out state 8weeks

    Hi✨, thanks for sharing your tips 💐.
    Personnally, i use to drink apple cider vinegar with water and honey daily. I can appreciate the change on my skin, nails and hair but especially in my system. It's an organic and unpasteurized vinegar.
    🚨 I would like to warn that I do this knowingly with the right measures (never in excess) and that is a personal experience 😊.
