He is ALWAYS supporting her. Always. It's beautiful. He must have been disappointed too, but only thinks if she is ok. And she must have been in terrible pain and thinks of finishing the program for him. What a beautiful graceful pain. I love how protective he is of her. I wish I had that.

This is one of the only time in Tessas career you see her falter or show any sign of discomfort. You know she must have been in incredible pain to call a time out and for her to continue the program is truely so brave and tenacious. I love watching this knowing now that, her injury aside, this was a daunting, vulnerable moment in her creativity and she really pushed herself, evidently, in every way. Actually an incredible achievement. One to be very proud of.

These two are COMPETITORS and you know neither one would give up unless the pain was excruciating. I admire them for going back out there to finish the program. A few times it looked like Scott wasn't doing a bit of choreography so he could keep an eye on her.

They actually withdrew from the 2011 4cc I think. She was in so much pain she just stopped midway and skated away from Scott. He didn’t even know what was going on at first.

3:03 Thanks for showing the whole thing because while i'm sorry it happened, it was still interesting to watch them during this issue. I always like seeing how they interact when they are not in their actual programs. I wish I knew what he said to her. He looked like he was cradling her neck and she started to push him away and maybe back away..then he had to kind of chase her. She looked like she felt bad for disappointing him.
Edited after 3 thumbs up: ok, I must be perverse but there is something sweet and sexy about the way he is so intent when talking to her.

Have watched this so many times and have always wondered what had happened, eventually putting it down to cramp! now I have read most of comments I see she was in pain - poor Tessa. I could see she was unable/forgot to kick her leg forward before the move so it did point to cramp. Scott encouraged her on, she was so upset blasting past one of her trainers, that is not Tessa.

Tessa developed a very painful condition called compartmentalizing syndrome, for which she had surgery later. He goes to lift her at 3:06, and she tells him she's in too much pain. He then tries to reassure that he understands, and he's fine if she can't do it.
