I love this game for three reasons: 1. it was the first game I was able to purchase with my own money that I saved up. 2. I loved kaijus and fighting games so how could I resist. 3. I bought this game on the last day of school to celebrate so I played it all summer. Good memories.
I've always been a lifelong fan of Godzilla, but the planets realigned and rejuvenated my interests in the games. Been replaying a lot of the older ones, but didn't wanna dig up my GameCube just to play this again, so I'm happy a solid Longplay exists! I'm not a huge fan of fighting games in general, so I've long been disappointed that's mostly what we get from Godzilla games. Still, I had a lot of fun with this back in the day, so it was nice to see it in action again.
Yeah… certain monsters are much harder than others, and that’s for a reason. Anguirus is designed to get a feel of the game and know the controls. Megalon is where they up the AI considerably to the point that it’s obvious, as there are certain attacks and other things the AI won’t fall for and will start exploiting. Rodan can be very aggregating and annoying because of his flying which puts him above some chars as he has an advantage. Destoroyah is where things get pretty damn hard. The game really shows you that he’s not supposed to be taken head on because of his high damage output, larger health and the fact he’s very aggressive. If you approach him head on he will kill you more often than not. MGK can be ridiculously hard. And of course, depending on who you face, MG2 and Kiryu are literal nightmares. Orga is the toughest AI in the entire game.
After watching the Godzilla vs Kong movie I can’t help but want a remaster of this game. Looking back it’s nowhere near as great as I thought it was as a kid lol
They missed the boat, the doc, and even the right part of the ocean not making this a video arcade game. I used to play this with my brother when I was younger and I had a blast! Thanks for uploading it.

This game was amazing. It's inspired me recently to make a Kaiju fighter inspired by godzilla. Hopefully down the line I'll have details on the game to bring to the public eye, and hopefully draw interest

Used to spend the night at my cousins house with my brother and we would have tournaments. Winner would play my uncle and if we won he would give us money or let us rent anything from blockbuster. Shit was awesome.
