When I was in an accident in November 2017 the insurance set me up with on of these but it was a fairly new 2017 model I fell in love with it in the short time I had it and I cried when I was forced to turn it back in...a few months later I ended up getting another 2017 model but this time financed and I’ve changed quite a few things on it like the rims and have added fog lights and cruise control which has truly made me feel satisfied with my little baby and I wouldn’t trade her for anything in this world
I have a 14 model. Yours is probably one of last made of the gen just take good care of the engine! Mine took a 💩 bad valves so I had to take apart to rebuild it. But yes I did pimp mine out and beefed up the electrical with a 320 amp alternator, new rims! I miss my car 🥲🥲 she’ll be back stronger!
I bought a 2017 Accent a month ago and love it. The car has plenty of space for me as a five foot ten guy and feels like a big car as I’m coming out of a Smart for two. Was pleasantly surprised when I test drove it and been happy with the car ever since. This is a used car and will likely buy another once it’s time.
We don't think you made a bad choice at all. The Elantra is a very nice car that still provides good fuel economy but with more room and a smoother ride. Thanks so much for watching and commenting. We will (eventually, hopefully) be posting more videos, including one on the newest Elantra, so please subscribe as well!
In my humble opinion, yes. Which you'd expect given that it is Hyundai's least expensive vehicle. The prior generation Elantra compares nicely with the cars in its very competitive class (such as the Civic, Corolla, Cruze, Sentra and so many others) - even as those models have been redesigned. As the reviewer of the Accent, I'd say you made a good choice going with Elantra - it's a more substantial vehicle and again, offers a smoother ride and more room while still achieving good fuel economy. Most importantly, are you happy with your car? - A.J.
GlobeCarReviews thanks buddy. i LOVE everything about it except for the stupid stupid STUPID floor-mounted gas pedal! it causes so much discomfort in your calf and ankle. then i just so happen to be looking up the accent and i think it has the regular hanging gas pedal.. i was pissed.. Elantra it's such a nice car, it feels like your driving a midsize, its wide and roomy, comfortable, refined, confident, but it gets the awesome gas mileage of a compact (i love the small 12.8 gallon fuel tank its like $26 to fill up), and it's nimble on the road like a small compact too. its got a taste of both car classes, which is extremely cool, not many cars do that. it's such an awesome car i try to overlook how uncomfortable the gas pedal is to use. I wish i could have a hanging gas pedal installed aftermarket. any thoughts?

How much did it cost to add fog lights and cruise control? I have a 2013 basic model and would love to do upgrades as well!

thank you. so the accent has a rougher ride and is less refined/ lower cabin quality & materials then elantra, is that correct?
