Regarding the pairings discussion at 51:00 - you are claiming that the pairings were done incorrectly. FYI, the judge team had to manually recalculate SOS at the end of each round for *each person* that played against those 2 late adds. Then, the pairings were fixed manually so that folks were still playing others with the same record. That said, I don't know if extended SOS was a factor. And I think the biggest side effect was players making decisions about intentional draws based on the inaccurate Game Uplink data, to your point.
I was really hoping for some more shadow collective stuff, like night sisters or just Savage Oppress and Mother Talzen. Hopefully those will come out at some point
In the events we do at our LGS we make sure all players start at the same time and call time every half hour. That semi game was with Luke cook and it was a painful game to watch.
Agreed. Secret clocks, IDs and the pairings are not great. Players need to know when to be back from lunch and should be encouraged to play all their games…
I cancelled going to Worlds once they announced that you needed to be winless to move to Saturday. Its a lot of money and travel to come to an event to play just one day. They need to fix that.
yeah, I can't remember if the other player was late or anything, but the issue came from an error with attendance/check-in. Minor Tom was right where he was supposed to be, haha
@grahamcrackergaming5133 And the event had 272 people! It's not surprising that there were a few errors. But it seems like maybe we've learned some lessons on how to approach those errors better in the future (and maybe about some features game uplink really ought to have).
I enjoy that a lot of the clone players got to feel what it is like when your damage doesn't stick
This 😂

Time left should always be made available to the players!
Time should NEVER been secret to begin with for the highest standard of play.
Hasn't Scoundrels always been on Tuesday?
should they have done a dummy pairing?
On the topic of minor Tom's game not showing up in GU round 1 another thing to improve on that would be to make sure to show up on time!
I did show up on time… 😅 The judges made a mistake and did not record my registration until the round already started.
