As someone trying to collect both Legion and MESBG . . . collecting both is quite hard. :-) Also, there are tokens now for models being knocked Prone in MESBG - has been the case since 2018. :-)
The best part of the new Turn 0 rules is it got me into AOS which has a great community locally. Legion had been a struggle to develop a play group. Now I’ve got a game with an existing community.
I went with two since that's the most I could ever see myself running of them even if they get a new card. They're super cool models so I'm not too bummed about it especially since they could and should get a glow up.
As a dedicated MESBG player I can agree that it’s the best game I have ever played next to the Legion. The rules and factions and list building capabilities are the best in my opinion.
MESBG is such a robust rules system - granted the new edition might change things but it should still have its core intact Played back in 2004 then came back to it in 2020
Storms geting white in melee is a dick move just to create game space for those guys that are not even good. Meanwhile basic Rebel troops had not changed.
I love MESBG definitely my favorite game next to legion. I played in some MESBG events at adepticon after getting whooped in the Worlds bracket and had a great time
Played against someone using proxy riot control squad, each time they were rendered useless before they get into melee. Also thier shooting was very weak.

If they wanted the Riots to be unique, give them armor X (1-2) for the shields, and low profile or cover 1 for the tactics a riot team would be using.

Given that the rules haven't changed dramatically in the last 20yrs, I expect the greatest changes will be with list building. This is fine. :-)

Riot control area cool models.
I hope new missions give them a role. Currently, if my opponent puts them on the table, I'm pleased
