fun fact: The wheelock 7002t-24 was my first fire alarm. my speech therapist gave it to me because he used to work at wheelock.

My old Elementary and Middle School had and probably still have a full system of these. I used to hate these when I was little but im 14 now and in high school and I look back and I actually miss hearing them. There actually one of my favorite Fire Alarms!

Reminds me of my late childhood in the early-1990s! Except the living quarters per floor, had no more than 3. One per basement, too! Both different houses I was at in Rutland, Vermont.
One of them, a victorian, has a total of 7, including the basement, next to the FCi FC-72 FACP. Both has (or had) the same FACP. (That's the one with 3-per-floor and I don't know if there was one in the attic or not)

These alarms gave my the chills.. this was the alarms in my elementary school and my first ever fire drill were these alarms and i was alone in the hall (i think going to class) and i just remember sitting there looking at one like “wth..”

My elementary school had these with simplex 4037s and simplex simplex 4040 and wheelock 34t
For the next vid I want to see multiple fire alarms with different color lights activated by different types of custom pull stations.

These were built in the 1970s and 1980s, and were replaced first by the AS, then by the NS, and finally by the Exeder.
What determines the speed of the strobe light? Is there anyway to adjust it? Asking because I have a 7001T
lowering or giving it more power can change it, but there’s no other way
The rate of flash is determined by how fast the capacitor can be charged, and usually an RC network that triggers the ignition coil. Fire alarm strobes are designed to flash at about one per second but due to variances in build tolerances perfect timing between devices can not be achieved (same reason turn signals in cars don't flash at the same rate). Newer fire strobes don't use an RC circuit for timing. Instead, the power supply sends a code pulse on the 24vdc lines that the strobe interprets, making timing the responsibility of the FACP and power supplies.

Hey Grant, I found a lot of speaker wire and spare wires.
1. I found a working panel (Ansul Autopulse Z-10/Simplex 4004R agent release panel)
2. I hooked it up over the span of 3 days
3. I tested it. The panel works, the horn strobe works, and the pull station works!
I was wondering if you had experience with conventional agent release panels as well as how you manage with all the horn strobes you set up. I am setting up my system in a small, enclosed space in which I have to wear ear protection. Do you deal with ear protection when it comes to testing your systems?
I only know that NewAgeServerAlarm had experience with a notifier agent release panel but never heard of one by Simplex
And ear protection is an essential tool in doing these things, as (obviously) fire alarms are loud. Keep wearing that ear protection!
