😂 absolutely love your channel, breath of fresh air, slowly getting through them from the beginning. As a Carpenter & Joiner myself I love to see someone do things almost identical to me.

@jamiedyte3809 thanks so much for saying, I sorta miss these days of filming my travels! All very mundane but all very real! Fair play for doing start to finish.

Great stuff pal, been following you for a while and really enjoy your videos. I like the honesty (including the waffle!) and the longer format. You keep doing what you're happy with, I'm sure more subscribers will come. You don't want to become one of those channels that w*nk off the algorithm 😂. It's refreshing to see someone showing what this kind of work entails and the regular struggles that go with it! Keep on keeping on....

Love it😂 I am going to have to use the phrase ‘w*ank off the algorithm’ in one of my videos! Or maybe as a thumbnail! 😂😂
Thanks so much for watching and the comment. I certainly will keep on keeping on!
      Cheers Matt👍🏻

More top tips please 🤣😂🤣 seriously tho I’ve got to try the resin stuff you’re using as it’s more economical than the window care - I’ve messaged them to see if anyone local to me stocks it. Still enjoying the videos 👍🏻

Ha ha, have to be careful! Don’t want to put myself out of work!😂
Yeah I can’t compare it and tbh a bit gutted I couldn’t get the repair care stuff quick enough! I also found their stock confusing so wanted to actually speak to someone first. The stuff I used had clear info on their website and I didn’t need a special gun. I used it again today and it tools really well.
Gonna try the repair care tho! What shall I buy?

@@Wattsjoinerybarn you’ll need a gun, mixing plate and spreaders/knives, something to mix stabiliser in( yog pot) and a throwaway brush or two

Good video mate, your like me questioning yourself when your doing jobs like splicing cos there'sdifferent ways of doing the same job but with that pair of front doors with the life that's left in them you madethe right choice .
Just a quick random question those MFT bench top's and your site benches did you buy the top's pre drilled or do you have the Axminster jig, only asking as I've not seen the 8x4 pre drilled ones for sale.

Thanks mate, yes it’s a right struggle at times, why I started the Chanel!
Re the tops, I made them. I used my lr32 rail and the only things I bought were the 20mm router cutter and two rail dogs from bench dogs uk. I simply did one long stretch at every 96mm then squared over and did another long stretch exactly the same and parallel and then put the mft dogs in the rail locked and joint the gaps! They are not quite 8x4 as I cut off one of the initial series of holes so i didn’t have to get them the exact right distance apart but tbh there is no reason why you couldn’t do that on 8x4. I felt the jig was too pricey and would take much longer to do the benches! One bench is slightly out tbf but the one with the sacrificial strip is is spot on! However I don’t really use is for that purpose!
Highly recommend the mobile ones tho, absolute game changer!

Ye that jig is pricey and time consuming, I was only asking as I've had a piece of 10mm clear acrylic laser cut 96mm centre's 23mm diameter holes so I can use my router , 12.7mm cutter and 16mm guide bush, I've put a 18mm plywood stock on it which I know you shouldn't but I put it over my surface so it's true and shouldn't expand/ contract and I worked the first and last holes out so I can take the factory edge off each outside edge of the sheet. Out of interest are your site benches half a sheet wide.

Yeah sounds bob on. My site benches are 520 ish I think. It’s so I can fit two on most trestles and my chippy trestles which I just don’t use at the minute! Biggest mistake I made tho was not making the centre bits tall enough! I can’t fit a drill in and it drives me crazy!

Loving your contents mate ❤ how long you been you using sketch up? I’m struggling getting to grips with it, I’m guessing hours of using it will pay in the end 🫣 keep up the great work 👍

Thanks mate! Tbh I did a basic CAD online course but it didn’t sink in. Then I left it for years and about 18months ago I watched a RUclips tutorial on sketchup! I was then hooked! I would say I drew my first job in about two weeks and got it but looking back it was terrible and took me ages to draw. Best advice I can give is draw jobs you have already done in your free time and make everything a group the second you draw it. After that it all comes together very quickly! Also find a style of tutorial that suites you!
      Thanks for the kind words❤

@@Wattsjoinerybarn great advice mate, Iv spent hours doing a drawing then it’s all gone pear shaped last minute (because Iv not grouped components like you mentioned) thanks for taking time to speak to a civilian I know you tube stars are busy 😜

Honestly mate since I got Wi-Fi on my private jet it’s no problem at all!
I don’t know what you are working on but I have an old laptop so I bought a seperate number pad too. I found that was a massive help to quickly type in measurements. Also I measure everything in the room and draw the room as quick as I can after viewing the job! I am still learning one new thing every time I use it! I think the hardest part is deciding to stick with it past the first couple of jobs!
Thanks so much for your comment❤
