I wish this same studio would adapt the entire Gantz manga. I’m not a fan of the other adaptations However, as awesome as Gantz-0 is, it loses something, bc the manga built up to the Osaka storyline. In this we don’t get that build up. It’s still awesome though. Probably my favorite storyline in the manga

I'm so glad that Gantz got a masterful adaptation, The people who worked on this movie deserve so much more praise, I remember that I had heard about this movie while I was just finishing the manga, I had fallen in love with it and desperately wanted to watch the movie once I finished since it was covering one of my favorite arcs in the series.
I’m pretty selective when it comes to manga/anime for me to watch but when discovering Gantz:O movie on Netflix and then reading up the lore and manga, it never left my mind.
Before the movie came out there was a youtuber called BRKheaven uploading every single Gantz manga with color and background cool music once Gantz gets to your life like that it never leaves 👏

A true Tour de Force in CGI and animation! Extremely underrated and overlooked. I loved it! Great Sci Fi and even greater animation. The story wasn't lost in the CGI at all!

The way I love this movie and kept looking for cinematics of it everytime I was on youtube since 2016. Who would have thought you would bless us with this epic Gantz cinematic in 2020 . This is fantastic, I've been a fan of Gantz since I was like 12 years old, I'm 23 now, I'm a big fan of Gears of War too the 3 especially and this is like a mix between Gantz and the game I don't know how to explain it but this is unbelievable.
I remember that particular part in the Manga as being pretty intense and remembering that I shouldn't get attached to any characters, but the Manga does such a good job at presenting cool ideas and capable characters only to have them ripped from you.
Hope they make next part as believe me when I say this, whatever you have seen so far is nothing to what is yet to be shown. Manga readers will know of what I’m talking about.
It has its edginess, but still I definitely would like to have the full story animated if it’s done to this quality. This cgi actually is enjoyable to watch and it looks like finally the tech is moving in the right direction. There are quite few scenes they probably could not show due to how sensitive people are nowadays though :D Plus people that have not read the manga don’t even have a clue and probably are confused of what is Gantz actual story about as with what is currently shown there are 0 clues given to what is going to happen and where the main plot point is.
I was tempted to read the manga after finishing this & the anime series. Then the ending hit me, gone was all the excitement. GantZ should be anything but a fairy tale with happy ending lol.

read the entire manga 4 times already, 800+ manga of raw drama and action loved the part of the European battle, so much points and so many kills, wouldve loved to see the fox guardian next to the tengu, but I love all the animation.
Gantz is hands down the best Manga I have ever read. Mature, Thriller, Gore, Drama, Romance ... everything set down beautifully. If it wasn't for its garbage ending it would been a masterpiece.

Here is a spoiler if you have not seen the movie or manga and want to see do not read this. They died in the real world but were revived and forced (if they do not obey they die) to play the game, they can continue with their lives but if they are called they have to go also they have to avoid revealing what they are and have the risk of dying in battle . But at the end of each battle if you are still alive, even half of you can be regenerate and heal . If you manage to get 100 points by killing monsters you have 3 options. better equipment Revive an ally Quit the game If you choose the last one you return to the real world but they erase all your memories from the moment you died. The protagonist had already been in the game but returned. Also everything that is destroyed and dead civilians are restored at the end of the battle.

i really liked the fact that this leads to diffrent route from the manga since kei died and reika is trying to revive him, thus probably making new timeline ending
The last part with laser eyed monster reminded me a lot of the Soveregin possessed Saren at the end of Mass Effect. I also think that as i knew a bit of Nurarihyon and the night parade of a 100 demons i enjoyed the movie a lot more than my brother did that probably never heard of that before (As neither of us had any prior knowledge of Gantz).

when I first watched final fantasy 7 advent children movie. it blew my mind and thinking the hell did they made such an amazing 3d animated film. anime plus realism. then I saw Gantz O and it gave me a similar impression. impressed even though this kind of animation style is already known but still it gave me goosebumps and actually terrified for the characters.

普通の漫画じゃアニメだけ、実写映画も一回だけとかなのにここまでお金が動いたのは当時ちゃんと広報が動いてくれて客が消費活動を行っていたからだよ。
大阪編の映画だってそれがなきゃ最終話から3年も経ってるのにわざわざ作らないよ、日本には他にも漫画原作があるんだからね。当時もちゃんと人気だったよ。

I don't watch much Japanese movies but this one is really amazing, awesome...recommended to anyone loving action, fantasy and horror :)
Gantz is hands down the best Manga I have ever read. Mature, Thriller, Gore, Drama, Romance ... everything set down beautifully. If it wasn't for its garbage ending it would been a masterpiece.
it's still a masterpiece and one of the best anime and manga out there despite the ending being shit.

@@yrazu05 ikr. Kei and Koto just dropped to the ocean and saw Tae-chan and Ayumu. They hugged each other while people are cheering for them..... Then the end.. WTF? I hope there's one more chapter to end this amazing manga. It feels like a cliff-hanger..
@@kenmark9983 Well it ended with the idea of reincarnation and how those lost will be reborn in the future. Yet it ends right there and doesn't give a proper ending to the aliens, the invasion, and the love stories that we wanted to have a satisfying conclusion to.
@@yrazu05 Yup and I was like... "That's it?" But all in all Gantz is amazing. The storyline and the character development are superb.
I remember him reviving her than learning he was able to leave the apartment anytime outside of tournament hours
He should've revived Kei first for easier points gathering.
@@ラララム that is what i don't understand, i thouht they died, but they can interact with real world, real living people? but they do have to participate in it right? they died but they still can interact with other living people?
@@nakachinjah7240 They die in the real world and that is the reason why they are playing the game, their lives do not belong to them and they have to obey but they can leave the game if they manage to collect 100 points by themselves.

Here is a spoiler if you have not seen the movie or manga and want to see do not read this.
They died in the real world but were revived and forced (if they do not obey they die) to play the game, they can continue with their lives but if they are called they have to go also they have to avoid revealing what they are and have the risk of dying in battle . But at the end of each battle if you are still alive, even half of you can be regenerate and heal . If you manage to get 100 points by killing monsters you have 3 options.

Revive an ally
Quit the game
If you choose the last one you return to the real world but they erase all your memories from the moment you died. The protagonist had already been in the game but returned.
Also everything that is destroyed and dead civilians are restored at the end of the battle.

i really liked the fact that this leads to diffrent route from the manga since kei died and reika is trying to revive him, thus probably making new timeline ending
The last part with laser eyed monster reminded me a lot of the Soveregin possessed Saren at the end of Mass Effect.
I also think that as i knew a bit of Nurarihyon and the night parade of a 100 demons i enjoyed the movie a lot more than my brother did that probably never heard of that before (As neither of us had any prior knowledge of Gantz).

when I first watched final fantasy 7 advent children movie. it blew my mind and thinking the hell did they made such an amazing 3d animated film. anime plus realism. then I saw Gantz O and it gave me a similar impression. impressed even though this kind of animation style is already known but still it gave me goosebumps and actually terrified for the characters.
I remember reading this as a manga! discontinued it because I kept crying, lol. But it was great, maybe I should finish it.? An incredible video!!!!!

This movie is tied with Harlock: Space Pirate. I think BOTH movies are the best I've ever seen in my life time. Hands down the best animation/computer generated movies ever.
