Hi guys I grew up on the tweed I started spearfishing when I was 9. I am now 56 and still spearfishing now living rockhampton You guys take me back to some memories. I had some heated arguments with line fishermen about where I could and couldn’t go One arsehole in a boat tried to reverse his prop into me under Boyd’s bay bridge until I pulled my gun out of the water and pointed it at him he shit himself gunned engine in forwards fell out the back of the boat just missed the prop the boat smashed into pylon His mate on board got control of the boat and picked him up Suck shit to them Cheers from your sub in rocky

Fishos dont like us very much. Lots of times we’ve been yelled at. Thankfully you didn’t get hurt

watched a few of your vids now man, reckon I've seen you guys in the water a few times right where I'm planning to fish along the Fingal wall haha. just read your comment about getting yelled at by line fishos, I'm a catch and release guy myself but love your underwater footage and theres nothing wrong with spearing a few flathead or whiting when theres that many around. plus I'd much rather have someone spear a 40cm flatty than catch a 90cm breeder female and brag about keeping it like some of the old guys do cheers

We get around the tweed a fair bit, so a good chance you’ve seen us. We try to be as respectful as possible to the fishos and not get in there way, but some of them just have a hatred towards spearos because they have the wrong view on us. Think we just shoot every fish that swims past, when that is quite the opposite.
We see so many big breeder flathead but we never shoot them and rarely shoot the smaller ones these days.
      Thanks for the comment
