Gave this a shot this morning and now feeling much better, thanks man.
Awesome mate! Glad it helped!
What did you use a tennis ball or something larger?
@@juliekane7210it looks like a clementine
I had costo seriously bad for 5 years until I came across the Backpod. It cured mine and I’ve now been pain free for 7 years.
Awesome to hear Karen!
How long did you use it everyday and how many days did you have to use it to get it to go away?
@@AbsurdShady I used it at night and my pain went after only 3 days. I was shocked to say the least as I’d suffered for 5 years and tried just about everything. I thought I had nothing to lose trying the backpod and I’m so that that I did. I’d obviously got the locked back rub that Steve August talks about in his backpod RUclips videos.
@@karenforrest1613do you think this exercise can help like Backpod?
@@alifallah7211 I’m not sure. In my case I had a locked rib in my back causing my costo so the backpod was very firm to unlock it. Anything is worth a try.
My costochondritis was caused by sleeping on my side. Try switching to sleeping on your back to take pressure off your ribs and sternum.
I’ll give it a shot 🫡
I also sleep on left side i have this crazy sharpning pain on my ribs since i woke up and ate something
@@Devanshu2812 me too ;-; had so much pain for the last 24 hours and it got worse when I tried to lay on my side last night.
If it helps, each person may have a sleeping position that helps buffer their symptoms- which is important, but it’s less likely to be the underlying cause. Typically that’s daily sitting postures and shapes for example
Did that today and I felt my chest area loosen up. ❤
Wonderful to hear!!
Man my entire thorasic spine is tender to the touch and of course my chest is making me miserable.
Keep stretching, seek massage and osteo professionals, it will get better
Fuckin what?! Worked for me. I get this when I do heavy upright t-bar rows. I just took my first deep breath in two days. Thank you.
Brilliant to hear Kyle! Glad it was helpful!
I'm 25 years , and have a severe chest ( in and around heart area ) and back pain/discomfort. XRAY , ECG , blood test and MRI are all fine. I have lot of fatigue and getting tired even walking accompanied by this similar kind of pain, can anyone pls suggest.
Note - this pain triggered 3 months back after continuous pushup workouts for a couple of week
I'm pretty much in the same boat.. i hope we both find relief soon..
Same here… started an aggressive military style physical training and have been dealing with a minor chest pain ever since…
Mine started 4 years ago from this crazy push-up regimen I was doing as well. Wow. Best of luck to you.

My life changed because of this😔😔
I've had 2-issues this year with costochondritis. Thank you for sharing
Hope it genuinely helps in some way mate!
How and how long did it last?
So grateful! God bless you🤍
Hope it’s helpful!
It only happens to me the day after i exercise and then after few days it alright if I don't exercise but then again when I do exercise it starts again.

Hi...what abt pain under the rib? Thanks alot
Where should we position the ball...B/w shoulder blade and spine.....and if it is that . We have to do both for left side and right side
I was hit in the chest and I felt pain afterwards. The question is, can this not be cured?
Costo certainly has the potential to get better for most people
Hello, ive been dealing w this kind of pain. It hurts in that inflamed cartilage area when i do lat spread or move my neck to the side & up and i cant get it off have u experienced with this yet?
Also when squeezing the chest
Hi mate, is a physiotherapist over the last 20 years I’ve seen a lot of people struggling with costochondritis. Traditionally, costo only really affects the rib cage area, either front or back but the same spinal joint dysfunction around the back can also be present in the neck as well which may give people the added symptoms of neck dysfunction as well. Either way it’s been a little while since you’ve posted your comment so I hope you’ve found some great relief.
I wonder what forms us as INTJs. What they talk about around 37min makes INTJs like myself sound like the studies they did on babies that they need to feel safe in their environment, whether that be with someone they trust or somewhere they know, in order to explore and be more free. This is something ive known about myself, but it makes me feel like a baby. I had a good childhood, what made me this way? But exactly like they said, if it was my event, if i was the most in the know in the room, id be comfortable talking to anyone
Totally works thank u bro😭🙌🏼
Glad to hear it may have helped!
@@YourWellnessNerd it’s the only thing that’s really helped in 5 months and I’ve only done it twice thank u 🙌🏼
@@remingtons4607Jesus I hope it’s true. Just finished my 20 days naproxen treatment and it just numbed pain and still the same. It was my second time in my life when I took drugs. The pain it’s so annoying that you have a feeling that you are not worthless and can do really nothing. I used to do muscle ups , push ups etc and now have to stopped. Ok I’m gonna grab this freaking ball and I hope it will help. Thank you
@@remingtons4607how? Please explain mines went away but the cartilage lump remained and now I feel it returning again, the pain in the chest. 😢

What if I fell with my back while playing football trying to win a battle in the air. Before my chest started feeling weird, can this work?
God bless you for the tips! It worked for me🎉
Great to hear!!
I am still doing it as I type now. I have had this pain for quite sometime now and it made me so afraid
I used the rubber ball and I heard a popping sound in my sternum. Is that normal?
It’s not abnormal mate. As always it’s important to respect how things make you feel and work within your comfort zone.
How long should you do this? Reps?
And should you do it daily? Twice a day? Every other day?
It's generally person-specific. Depends how sore or tender it might be, and much improvement one can make each time. The goal is to walk away feeling a little looser and hopefully less tender.
That was my question too.
I need help I'm in alot of pain it's in my shoulder blades and ribs today in scared I'm going to have a heart attack
Ur tools for costo have gotten me to rid myself it it!!! Ty🎉
Great Gaby!!! That's amazing!
How long did you suffer from it?
Great, if it really works lovable piare bete thanks 🙏🦋💐
Hope it has worked for you!
Thought that was an orange at first lol
Might need something a little harder :)
What about using The Back Pod ??
Whatever feels like it hits the spot the best! A ball is usually more instantly accessible for most though!
Been having this for awhile now. I’m a driver and have been wondering if this is caused by me just driving? I drive M-F too
I also drive a lot and I’ve been dealing with this for about 6 months … how are you feeling now ? I’ve tried everything and I feel it most when I start driving
@@Sergio-sr1cf so I remember the pain got so bad , I end up going to urgent care. I told the nurse on what was happening to me. I told her that my doctor is not doing anything.

Will costochondritis ever heal?
It certainly can, it just depends on whether each person can get to the underlying cause of their symptoms
Does it cause breath problems ?
Costochondritis causes inflammation of the cartilage that holds the front of your ribs. So although it doesn’t technically cause breathing problems, it can feel like it’s restricting your ability to catch full breathes and that can make you panic. I have this condition and before I figured out what it was my symptoms were chest pains that mimicked a heart attack, not being able to catch a full breath, anxiety from the symptoms and a sharp shooting pain in my chest when I sneezed. I’ve learned so much from watching these videos on YT

I hurt my sternum 3 days ago doing dips, I took full rest, now the pain is decreasing, should I take more rest or start working on mobility?
I cant give specific advice over the internet with being able to assess you mate unfortunately. It might he best to have someone assess you to give you the best advice.
Hey, i just did dips 3 days ago. It triggered pain first in the back under the left shoulder blade. I used my massage pistol and did some stretches and its now worse. I can feel extreme pain in the left chest area and goes down to the arm.
Its at a point where i had to skip work today.
I would reccomend letting your sternum rest as much as possible.
@@inf3sted I took 2 weeks rest, I feel better
Hope you get well soon too

What kind of ball is that ? Should i use any specific kind of ball ?
I use and often recommend a lacrosse ball, but it depends on what feels the most comfortable. A tennis ball which is softer works as well.
Use your balls instead hehe
How long does this take
Depends on how it feels!
🙏🙏🙏
Hope it helps Dominique!
❤❤❤❤❤❤
Going to try this....i will report
Wheres the report bro
Hope it did help!
@dismiss3dit323 it worked - I bought some lacrosse balls + have been doing more cardio as well - another supplement I noticed that helped is benfothiamine ( new vitamin B ) which supports nerves 😂
I have covid and started having this issue recently. It's kinda like precordial catch but it feels like its in my sternum. The pain usually ceases after I 'pop' my chest. Is that normal for this ?
It's not uncommon for people to feel a pop in their chest, especially if it feels like a release of pressure. Still need to treat the back if it's stiff though!
Mine is exactly the same. I feel more relief if I get back chest to pop - when it doesn’t I feel like the pain worsen. Ill try this back exercise for sure though. Been dealing with the pain for seven months now
I have rib pain
Hope the video helps you improve that rib pain!
I think covid triggered this but was dormant until you stressed the ribs
How often do you have to do this exercise?
Ideally as often as it takes to feel looser, freer, and less symptomatic Donny.
its worse for a women we wear bras that press on that rib 😮😢
worst pain .
It's certainly not fun!
The anxiety and panic attacks make it worse ughhhhj
is that a sponge ball?
Hey mate, it's a lacrosse ball!
Put ball in sock
Always a solid option!
