I've been to Slaps. A buddy of mine let me try some of the bbq sauce at a camping trip in NY. On a cross country trip I stopped by to get it straight from them. Great spot. KC and Memphis have the best bbq imo
Nice to see one of KC'S finest BBQ experts featured! Slaps is slappin'!Love my Thermoworks' products and they have THE BEST customer service I've ever had the pleasure of experiencing. Well done!
I’m from GA and St Louis ribs are hands down my favorite. I would love to learn from him and work there for a few months. I’m not very good at bbq Yet but getting better.
Thankfully we have RUclips to watch the techniques of the pros to copy.. I follow Malcolm Reed's "How to BBQ right" channel for all things bbq. He's a big southern boy and enjoyable to watch. I even order gis rubs and sauces..
Make sure to remove the bark on the wood, it has tannins in it and imparts a bitterness into the meat, fish or cheese. You will be surprised at the difference in taste.
I really liked the vibe of of Slaps and they have great ribs! This is not a slap on Slap's, but I'm not a fan of old school KC super sweet sauces and slicing brisket thin like deli meat
Joe's of KC (Oklahoma Joes), Q39, and Slaps are the new shiny stars of BBQ in KC. AB's and Gates long gone, except for any leftover hype... Mizzou side, lol.

We moved to Florida 4 years ago, after 30 years in KC. Slaps is ALWAYS on our list of BBQ to get to, when we go back to KC a few times every year.
Love me some Slaps! Use my Thermoworks Thermapen and ChefAlarm every time I grill, smoke, or roast.

I experienced the BBQ from Slaps over Memorial Day weekend…delicious!! I’ll be back. 😋
Dotte Dog's! Slap's and Christy's are 2 joints I missed on my last trip home in July.
Looks amazing, In the UK we haven't yet fully embraced BBQ cooking - which is a shame.

Use wood and then u can call it real bbq
Some of the worst bbq I've ever had. This is not KC barbeque. Hint: Stay on the Missouri side.
