Ever since then I always wished they would release "Mighty Wings" as the instrumental track heard during the Jester/Maverick showdown to no avail. This absolutely made my week finding this. It's absolutely perfect, man. Made my week!!!

At 2:14 it always reminds of a "your learning" kind of vibe. Every time I watch top gun and Goose says "watch out for the mountains" and this song plays it seems so fitting. Yes it's a cheesy corny movie but this theme fits the scene perfect! It's such a good summer movie and soundtrack!

This is the original instrumental version of Top Gun Mighty Wings! Very cool! The singing version of the danger zone has only a karaoke version different from the original, so I want to hear the original instrumental version of the danger zone!
One of the things I enjoy doing with music is picking up in the complexity-the layers. It’s quite the effort with film scores (LOTR is amazing). Pop music is less interesting because there frequently isn’t much complexity or differentiation between the vocal chorus and the instrumentation. I’ve always loved Mighty Wings partly because isn’t so simple. The instrumentals and vocal differ significantly and perfectly complement each other. Bravo for nailing this track…I’m so glad I get to hear it _outside_ my head for once!
Needs to have the build up that happens after Maverick and Iceman have their conversation in the hallway and it transitions in the first Hop when we see the Tomcat screaming across the desert.
