    Tanmay I guess you may know this already if it is true, but one youtuber mentioned that the atmos certification for soundbar and AVRs are different, only Nakamachi Dragon soundbar has a certification which they actually give to AVRs. Dont know how true but one guy mentioned it.

      All these big brands can never put a claim without licensing or certification! So not sure what Nakamichi has but these ones can deliver Atmos 👍🏻

      @@TanmayMehta not saying its fake but for soundbars and AVRs both have different atmos certifications.

    I have Jbl 9.1 Bar Tanmay sir , Can You Tell Which Media Box Will be better for me ( APPLE TV 4K, NVIDIA SHIELD PRO) , Do Height channels output matter on soundbar as ATV doesnt have True Hd Height Channels output.
    Hope You Will Answer my Questions

      Both are great media players. Go for either based on your smart phone OS. As one is apple and other one is Android. And if you need a USB connection for external content then Nvidia is better partner.

      Are you getting NVIDIA Shield in India ? If someone is coming from US, get thru them. Never buy paying double the money to Indian websites as they also do not give any warranty. That is the only reason I went with apple tv 4k. Comes with 1 Year warranty and you wont regret the purchase for sure. Smooth as butter. One app to another app transition is awesome. If you are watching hotstar and wanted to watch youtube during 'commercial breaks', switch to youtube and watch for few minutes and come back. Apps can be open and kept. I am an android user but the appletv remote is awesome especially siri search. It controls the soundbar sound including on/off . No apps can be sideloaded on appletv compared to nvidia shield. I don't touch firestick after i got apple tv 4k Works with plex for streaming from other sources

    In what cases can I put soundbar on top of tv? I'm in a room of 10*12 feet

    • @TanmayMehta
      @TanmayMehta  7 месяцев назад +1

      Ideally in none! And specially when you’re seating very near. Mount it below the TV

    Is it possible to connect a projector to a soundbar with 4k pass through and get Atmos

    • @TanmayMehta
      @TanmayMehta  8 месяцев назад +1

      Yes. But make sure to use a media player to the soundbar

    • @heavenlyxtacy
      @heavenlyxtacy 8 месяцев назад +1

      Make sure that your soundbar has two HDMI ports and connect something like firetv or apple tv directly to soundbar, as some low and budget end tv and projectors just wont send atmos signals, they just for the sake mention as atmos, actually they dont.

    I beg to differ!!! I was using a Sonos ARC soundbar, but replaced it with KEF speakers connected to a AVR. Never ever going back to a soundbar

    • @TanmayMehta

      Wired component based system like speakers and AVR is always better than any Soundbar. But soundbars are preferred by those who do not have the luxury of cabling and don’t want to buy any HTiB Package either!

    Soundbars are useless products. Period!
    You cant even hear stereo separation, forget sorround sound.
    No matter where you place it, on the wall or table top or at your ear level sitting at 8 feet distance, the sound is going to come from front.
    And HDMI/EARC/Optical ports doesn't make land-sky difference, you need to have Dolby Content first and atleast 5.1 set up to enjoy Dolby Atmos movies at home.
    Real music lovers/audiophiles use near field monitors.
    I have been using IEM's since 2016, recently purchased Edifire R1855DB waiting for T5 subwoofer to be back in stock.
    This things are one time investment, so spend your ₹ wisely.
    RUclipsr ki baato mei mat aao, all they do is paid promotion. Trust me! i ordered tower speakers and returned it.
    And remember you don't need 200 Watt RMS output, 50W -100W is enough for 300 square feet room. You room is most probably not acoustically treated.
    I would suggest you to get Edifier D12 or R1250DB for all purpose use. ❤

      I agree that soundbars are not meant for 2ch stereo separation. They’re enhancing TV audio specially for surround sound formats. Returning tower speakers for 2ch stereo, didn’t quite feel your product selection. But I definitely feel that you need a good consultant who can understand your room and requirements 😀👍🏻

      @@TanmayMehta I agree that my room is not acoustically treated, that's why I ordered near field studio monitors/bookshelf speakers. I don't need a consultant for that.
      Most of the population can't afford an expensive setup you must keep that in mind. we look for "budget" segment under 10k-15k.
      Name me a soundbar which has almost flat frequency response/sound signature under 20k. Bommy Mid bass/Bass bleeding into vocals is not my cup of tea. I listen to music more than i watch TV, so i like fast and punchy sub-bass and instrument separation.
      I found Edifire, Klipsch, Presonus, JBL, Marshall etc makes great active speakers you don't need extra amp for them, you can connect them to your TV as well via optical input. Edifire's come with sub-woofer output, so I can easily add a subwoofer later.
      I think I made the right choice. 🫡
