Worth noting that Lost Soul Aside 9:55 was started by a single person which later on was brought in under Sony, if you look also at the earlier footage it looked incredible when 1 person was working on it, excited to see what will the end result be when a huge budget and a team are in the mix!

The 4090 rendering 4k60 vid hit different. Nice job jake. The number animation is way smoother than older version in other gameranx videos.
Maybe, but only numbers 26 and above are rendered at 60fps. The rest seem to be rendered at 30fps.

I just found out Age of Mythology Retold is set to release this year as well. I'm super stoked for that
No Rest for the Wicked needed to be on this list. It's a new ARPG diablo-like but with souls combat and level design sensibilities from the Ori devs. Some streamers have been playing it early and it seems absolutely goated if you like souls games.

Is there a reason you didn't include No Rest for the Wicked? It looks absolutely fantastic from everything they showed so far and it's out on early access next month.
Bro they listed 50 games and even then it is impossible to list everything. It was not mentioned because because it did not beat out something else on the list.

What’s the deal with developers making all the female characters ugly nowadays?
This didnt age well
Especially DD2, the game is kinda not worth it, 2-5 hours of main story gameplay, absolutely zero endgame, the combat is ok, ok performance but could be better.
The biggest issue though is that after beating the true ending the game has just nothing left to do besides side quest and min maxing, you don’t get anything for beating the game more than once and there’s not much to really do after either, no mini games no endgame dungeons, nothing

letter to the editor: during a lot of your videos you use terms describing the games like rogue like, souls like, metroidvania, ect. ive been watching for a couple of years so ive been able to kinda piece together what you mean with these terms but it might be a good video to go through each of the genres and explain the origin and give a couple examples for people who are new to the channel. and if this video exists maybe send me a link because i would like to watch it!
Number 1 this year for me is Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 if you're a fan of RPGs. The original is absurdly good, sequel looks crazy.

The two I'm most looking forward to here are a Black Myth Wukong and Dragon's Dogma. No rush to get DG2 since have FFVII Rebirth to play through. If it has a good launch, then maybe I'll get it early on though.

Idk if you're gonna read this. I watch a lot of video game videos on RUclips announcements, reviews and upcoming games videos like this one. Over the years, I have grown to really appreciate your videos, not because of the content or the consistency. But of your very uninterested voice. Every other RUclipsr out there is hyping up games every day and when I finally play it, I get disappointed really fast. On the other hand your videos, you might say I'm very excited and etc for a game. But your voice sounds so uninterested and lacks any enthusiasm about it. It makes me keep my hype under control and when I finally play it, it really cheers me up that it's better than I thought even if it's a 7/10 game. Really appreciate the work you've done and thank you.

I am not bashing, during nights it's always super bright even on low brightness and I specifically don't watch during night time because of that reason, been watchin u for years and love your stuff
Mgs3 is gonna be my favorite game of the year i remember playing the orginal and later the colle tion on the ps vita and I'm pretty sure i still have my copy of mgs collection for my vita

*Plan 8* i think its called or something is also by Black Desert devs apparently some FPS/or Third Person shooter, all i know from what we know is its a shooter, possibly FPSMMO? Could be insanely lit, reminds me of when The Division was first released, man i hope they make a good looking looter shooter eventually man, one thats like the Division franchise but just 100000x better (meaning it will look/play incredible if the combat and look of BDO is anything to go off of, which it damn sure is)
Also Lost Soul Aside is the first time im hearing about it on this video, but man does that look sick AF, always wanted another FF lookin game to come out thats not FF, therefor they can do a lottttt with it if they decide to run wild, which from what we saw looks insanely polished and FF lookin graphics which people love, looks nice if it comes out this year that is haha

Not a bad list at all. I am looking forward to most of the games. But I am missing The legend of Heroes: Trails through Daybreak (will be released this summer), and Ys X: Nordics (will be released Q4) here. That are games I really looking forward to this year and I will buy and play them for certain.

Here I am almost two weeks late, but I’d like to see a new take on the Kessen series, or something like it. What I liked was being able to go down inside each battle and control a soldier and fight almost like dynasty warriors style to assist your troops.

It’s probably asking too much but it’d be cool if you could do make choices in the past in kingmakers that makes the future better… but if you do that you have less useful tools and weapons to bring back to the past. It’d be a cool give and take but again, I’m just excited on the premise alone. It certainly looks like it’ll live up to the hype
