Let's say the Chiefs did release Butker, the Missouri AG has already fired off a letter to the Chiefs warning them about letting Butker go. The AG will immediately bring charges.
If the Chiefs release Butler the NFLPA better back him up. Plus he has a multimillion dollar lawsuit on them. I don't think the Hunt family, given that they are conservative Christian would allow the team management to do that.

Catholic, Christian, conservative commentary and speakers are anathema to universities today. I remember as a student back in the day at a prominent Catholic university regular visits and talks by Bill Buckley, the Catholic and conservative intellectual, author, commentator. I doubt today he would even be welcome at my alma mater, much less be invited to speak, 😳. The country has changed - radically. I’m glad I’m old!

More importantly, he set the record in the 2nd half of this year's Super Bowl, when the record for longest kick in the Super Bowl had JUST BEEN SET in the PREVIOUS HALF (for those of you who don't do math, that's about an hour before). Butker SHATTERED it! And that's just ONE of the many reasons I love him--also because he holds a prayer meeting before EVERY SUNDAY GAME the Chiefs play, and EVERYONE on the team is invited to come and worship with him! He's a truly wonderful guy who's a shoo-in Hall of Famer when his NFL career is over, and I sure do hope that career includes MANY MORE YEARS with the Chiefs!!
