    Found this build-up by accident, flopped on the couch and watched all 14 episodes. LOVE this tale! Always thought these were cool AF; I just don't have a use on my 22acres that my Jeeper or dump-box gas golf-cart can't fill. I am recommending these to anyone looking at a side-by-side, though. Big thumbs-up from NE WI!

    The one I bought in 2007 came as a shipment from China where they used an antifreeze that coagulated in the radiators, resulting in engine overheating. These engines are very dependant on proper water circulation. As soon as it overheats, it will blow the top.

    With all the trouble I had with my Mini-truck in mind I still love these vehicles. Mine I bought new with a 1300cc 16 valve motor, no AC. Its weak spot is the coolant system.
    You can easily keep up with traffic in it, but at prolonged high speeds it will make you deaf. At this stage the odo is at 130000km.

    You should do a cargo carrier for the top and maybe do a rhino coating or something similar on the bed. If you don't do the coating maybe make up some wood panels for each section so they move separately from each other and spray them white.

    • @MotoCheez
      @MotoCheez  6 лет назад +1

      I'd like a cargo carrier but it won't fit in my garage, low door height... Panels good idea, was thinking rack side or something removable

      @@MotoCheez The plywood wood protect the bed somewhat unless you dont care. You would loose a few inches due to the thickness from all sides. 3/4'' ply would work nicely :)

    The pressure was probably right. When the engine is in the back the pressure in the front has to be VERY low or you will lose control of the truck in a fast sweeping turn. I hope it's not too late. I had a rear-engine car and it was always 16 front/26 rear. You should check it on some mini truck website for your own safety.

    • @MotoCheez
      @MotoCheez  6 лет назад

      It was low, I know how to guage the tires by footprint from using oversize tires on other vehicles. The next video I corrected it. Had 17 lbs, put up to 25lbs. Which is what the door tag says

    if i gave the red turd a bath it might blow up.i bought it in 2010 and the first time it got a bath was in 2017 i pulled up to a friends house and he got out there and washed my truck. hmm turned out it was red. then it got another bath last week because the same guy couldn't take looking at it anymore. just to find out its still red. if it was any other color i would wash it more but i hate red . just at the time it was so cheap i couldn't turn it down. i had plans on painting it but it was cheaper to just let it get dirty enough you couldn't tell what color it was. as long as the inside is clean to me is all that matters. but we don't have salt down here on our roads.

      @@MotoCheez You might want to consider underbody tool boxes on both sides. Then you would have a place for your battery and a small air compressor.

    • @MotoCheez
      @MotoCheez  6 лет назад +2

      Yes, wanting an air compressor onboard made me think the same thing! I've seen them mounted on the opposite side of the battery. Maybe dual battery?

    • @DukeOfTwist
      @DukeOfTwist 6 лет назад +2

      @@MotoCheez I'd suggest maybe research a larger capacity alternator to support a bigger or duel batteries, your basically working with just a bit bigger than motorcycle style systems in the #WUMT with a fairly extensive range of additional current drawing items... hate to see her have a nuclear meltdown ;-/

    • @MotoCheez
      @MotoCheez  6 лет назад +2

      I probably should research a bigger alternator I'm not overloading it much with the LEDs, and a larger battery would just have more power storage. Like for the winch and power inverter I think I saw somewhere that they have 65 amp alternators in them. BTW, I have a degree in electronics 😁
