I love this series. Taking a weird old Japanese truck and giving it some parts to make er' look all spiffy. Thanks for all the uploads and keep us posted!
Found this build-up by accident, flopped on the couch and watched all 14 episodes. LOVE this tale! Always thought these were cool AF; I just don't have a use on my 22acres that my Jeeper or dump-box gas golf-cart can't fill. I am recommending these to anyone looking at a side-by-side, though. Big thumbs-up from NE WI!
The one I bought in 2007 came as a shipment from China where they used an antifreeze that coagulated in the radiators, resulting in engine overheating. These engines are very dependant on proper water circulation. As soon as it overheats, it will blow the top. We have a saying here in SA " these bakkies have the best paint in the motoring industry - it keeps the whole vehicle together..."
Keep up the great work. You edit your videos like you have 1 million subscribers. It shows off in your videos how much you care about the video. I absolutely love that about your videos. You are in my new favorite channel and I can’t wait to watch more of your videos.
With all the trouble I had with my Mini-truck in mind I still love these vehicles. Mine I bought new with a 1300cc 16 valve motor, no AC. Its weak spot is the coolant system. You can easily keep up with traffic in it, but at prolonged high speeds it will make you deaf. At this stage the odo is at 130000km.
Another gr8 vid...some commenters have mentioned the missing bat/box cover...small suggestion...replace batt w full size sealed type...place in cab use as a consule...or fab up a filler tank 4 the void between the wheels (plastic drums) xtra storage/ battery cover prob. solved...a little paint minny truck smiles...now all U need is some vertical xhaust stack's out of the bed and a wing...flying MINNY TRUCK 👀😎👍

You should do a cargo carrier for the top and maybe do a rhino coating or something similar on the bed. If you don't do the coating maybe make up some wood panels for each section so they move separately from each other and spray them white.
@@MotoCheez The plywood wood protect the bed somewhat unless you dont care. You would loose a few inches due to the thickness from all sides. 3/4'' ply would work nicely :)

Another great video...loving this series. I'm going to buy a Hawk 250 this spring; wish I could afford one of these!! Also, have you ever looked into an electric pressure washer for washing stuff? They are great and make washing much faster. I bet it would get grime off the mini truck that the hose just can't get off. I use a SunJoe SPX3000 for my car/truck and it works great.
Nice on the hawk250! If you buy it from txpowersports, you can save a few bucks using MOTOCHEEZ in the discount area during checkout. I have 2 pressure washers, was just lazy this time lol
Thanks!! Believe it or not, they're camera glasses, Zshades. I have a few gopros for my motorcycle Vlogs that are better quality, but hands on these work decent!
The pressure was probably right. When the engine is in the back the pressure in the front has to be VERY low or you will lose control of the truck in a fast sweeping turn. I hope it's not too late. I had a rear-engine car and it was always 16 front/26 rear. You should check it on some mini truck website for your own safety.
It was low, I know how to guage the tires by footprint from using oversize tires on other vehicles. The next video I corrected it. Had 17 lbs, put up to 25lbs. Which is what the door tag says

I just ordered these same tires for my mini. Is it okay to put over the recommend 14 PSI in them? I know you had 17, then went to 26. Did they ever blow out?

latex-paint job to go along with the new rims and to protect and reduce noise

Id love to see what that bed looks like with the rustoleum spray on bedliner
That's what I plan on using too! Rust-Oleum.
As soon as i found the stuff i painted every rack and bed i had. Its awesome for shovel handles too
Excellent. Does it smell much? Can I paint it inside
Eh, with a fan probably wont be too bad
If you hit the "to be bent metal" with some heat gun action, it will help with the paint cracking.
