I'm not haitian but Garcelle knows this but i don't think black people truly understand how powerful and influential Haiti was a couple centuries ago....because they are so down bad now. They were the first black independent country in the western hemisphere.....the only black group to take on a colonial power and whoop their ass. They were so good that countries in south america and even the USA itself courted their military talent. Of course the yt world including France and the US got on code and conspired against them to destroy them later on but if there was another one or two Haitis out there around that time the history of black people in the western hemisphere would have been vastly different. They were alone.

Nostrand & Clarendon specifically is the Haitian Captial of New York
I'm not haitian but Garcelle knows this but i don't think black people truly understand how powerful and influential Haiti was a couple centuries ago....because they are so down bad now. They were the first black independent country in the western hemisphere.....the only black group to take on a colonial power and whoop their ass. They were so good that countries in south america and even the USA itself courted their military talent. Of course the yt world including France and the US got on code and conspired against them to destroy them later on but if there was another one or two Haitis out there around that time the history of black people in the western hemisphere would have been vastly different. They were alone.
I like Garcelle. Will Smith should have married someone like her. I think Jada wasn’t the most equally yoked fit for him.
