She is right about kids being able to speak their feelings. I had to learn this with my own kids, because I never shared my feelings. Back in the day I think parents tried to put a banket on how to raise their children if they have more than one, they think that the same parenting style works for each one. HOwever I learned with my own that I am actually raising three different people and what works for one doesnt work for the either, and you are basically giving individualized parenting per child. Now with my kids they can share what they feel and speak freely.

I Love Her Just as She Is!! What a classy and smart woman. I remember first seeing her in Essence and checking her name...and knew she was Haitian before I actually confirmed. I was so elated. I'm from Trinidad, lived in Brooklyn way back then, had family that lived in Dorchester. I was so proud to see a Caribbean queen grow but stay in her culture. What an interesting interview. I'll be getting her book...and the boys were so well behaved☺

That's something MOST people know and *MEN Need to Pay attention to this and realize how important they are to daughters & sons.* Kids need Both Parents which is why Coparenting after a break up is very important... but many Men don't want anything to do with their on a regular basis. I'm not haitian but Garcelle knows this but i don't think black people truly understand how powerful and influential Haiti was a couple centuries ago....because they are so down bad now. They were the first black independent country in the western hemisphere.....the only black group to take on a colonial power and whoop their ass. They were so good that countries in south america and even the USA itself courted their military talent. Of course the yt world including France and the US got on code and conspired against them to destroy them later on but if there was another one or two Haitis out there around that time the history of black people in the western hemisphere would have been vastly different. They were alone.
