It is not that you can't dip a solid color but with this process you have to paint everything for the print to adhere so you would be best to just paint it the color you want versus doing an additional step of dipping and possibly having touchups.

I think that is marbling. I've seen it done with spray paint or oil based paints. Pretty cool if that's the look you want. Thanks for watching !!
