I always look forward to hearing Phil Leonetti in interviews. He's completely honest and speaks from the heart about his life. Just like the Sammy the bull interview. These Mafiosi guys in 2020 are telling what it was really like back then. Incredible times we are living in.
whaley coyote When the adults you admire make you think killing is natural when you are 9 yrs old, you are a victim. At some point he should have broke ties with his uncle but we know what happens next.
@@HamiltonRb dude , don't believe everything you hear , if so Scarfos children would be in the same situation . And if you believe especially in that " he took me in the truck to dispose of a body at 7-8 y.o." story , then you are just gullible , which tells that you are likely a nice person . DON'T BELIEVE CRIMINALS ! Manipulation and good lying are essential skills they have to obtain in order to survive
whaley coyote Well I know these guys as much as you do, which is not at all, so you can only listen to an interview, judge for yourself, but the fact that one of Nicky’s kids are doing 30 yrs and the other killed himself, tells me how sick this guy was to bring his family into his life
Idk how Hollywood hasn't turned Phil's book 'mafia prince' into a movie or at the least a tv series. There are so many interesting characters full of violence, comedy and tragedy.
It's kind of a mystery why Leonetti hasn't cashed in on his notoriety like so many other mobsters. Maybe he just wants to cut all ties with his past. I think Mafia Prince would make a great movie. Family, betrayal, violence, regret. A young fatherless kid idolizes his uncle then must sacrifice the uncle to find himself.
@RStevenPage it's crazy because even Sammy talks good about Phil and said he was always respectful. If Phil would go on Sammy's podcast and then create a channel himself he would be banking!$ 💰
@@ShaunKang69 Man, I would love to hear him go at it with Joey Merlino. In his book, Leonetti called Merlino a punk kid. He suspected Merlino was skimming a few hundred off the envelopes passed to Scarfo.
Joey merlino would have an amazing film ! That would be huge in box office forsure ! But to find the right actor for Joey would be kind of difficult, not sure who can play him!
Patrick has the funniest interviewing moments to me, he'll be like Phil "So I ordered a burger" Patrick "What do you mean you ordered a burger? Was it a cheeseburger? Was there lettuce? Tomato? " Phil "Yes there was lettuce and I wound up eating the burger" Patrick "There was lettuce.. and you wound up eating the burger...interesting" Phil: "Well yeah.. that's what I just sa-" (cuts Phil off) Patrick: "Got it" (starts to doodle a cheeseburger as a serious note he may need to fall back on) Patrick “Now let me ask you..are you a fan of basketball?”
You can tell Patrick is genuinely interested in listening to other people's life story. He askes questions then let's the person talk and get out what they need to without judgement which makes them comfortable and want to talk more which is what makes him a good interviewer.
Agreed with the two comments above. Its best to listen to stories uninterrupted but parts of this interview felt like a rapid fire quiz show. Its also annoying to listen to the interviewer frequently supplying words, finishing sentences and filling gaps in the stories.
Very true real version of the Philly mob in the 70’s and 80’s . Those guys were tough and ruthless. They didn’t chase after stars or celebrities , they had their own thing, this was probably the best description of that life I’ve ever heard.
The best mobsters always seem to have really photographic memories, making their storytelling really engaging. Philseemed really respectful and had no issue correcting any misconceptions or wrong IDs. Smooth operator
It’s because they live a very dangerous life and are always on edge so it’s important to remember every detail… it’s like if you had a big exam every week, so when you study, your brain has to retain every detail because of the big test at the end of the week… Most people live uninteresting lives, they can’t tell you what they did last week, it’s not important… but if they were in a fight, they might remember every detail leading up to and after the fight!
@Sal DiMarchese Phil himself clearly wasn't that crazy though; he did what he had to -- in adaptation to the excruciating demands posed by his environment.
Mafia Prince was such a great book. The audio book version was excellent, great voice and pace which makes you feel engaged to the story and really helps to flesh things out! “If you ever see him, it’s this👈, and he made the sign of the gun.”
It absolutely is..regardless of how you feel about Leonetti it’s such a 1st hand account of Philly history up til the end of the Scarfo era. I’ve literally listened to it so many times I have most of it memorized 🇺🇸
They were trying to get Lansky till the day he died....Hard time believing he met Meyer Lansky in his 20’s “with his whole crew”...Lansky wouldn’t take that kind of chance...Maybe he met Scarfo by himself (probably second hand stories ) but the whole Lansky story doesn’t add up....but it would do great in a book!!!
The way Phil takes it upon himself to swipe the Tablet to get Salvies face off the screen was pretty emotional. You can tell he's still absolutely beaten down over his death.
@@matthewcollins5344 Watch the one made by HBO in 1996 with Armand Assante.. Trust me it's a great movie about Gotti, unlike the new one which is trash
Frank Cullotta was my favourite. His video about larry neumann and the other one about sam destafano are hilarious. He's done a few long interviews on other channels that are great also.
Salvi Testa is why the mob is the wrong road. The guy did everything right, everything . Good kid. What happens? Scarfo kills him because hes too good and hes rising too fast.
Good kid? The guy was a stone cold killer who wouldn't hesitate to kill women and children if they were on his way during a hit. Don't let his sweet looking face fool you, go and read the stories about him to see how good kid he was.
@@Neodreth Really? I didn't get that vibe from him watching the few documentaries concerning Scarfo and the Philly Mob. Yes, he was a stone-cold killer and a true Mafioso according to Nick 'The Crow' Caramandi, but he didn't appear to be someone who would kill innocent bystanders. I could be very wrong, of course, but Scarfo seemed more likely to do that sort of thing than Salvie Testa.
I've listened to Phil's book on audiobooks 3 times. It is literally one of the most fascinating and devastating real life stories I've ever heard. Perhaps one day we'll see a miniseries or movie about his experiences.
@@jamesdykes2968 The Al D'arco book was really good too. Though Peter Lance claims he was pretty much a liar, in his book "Deal with The Devil" about Greg Scarpa, which an insane book. One of the biggest FBI scandles I've ever read about. Fuck Lindley Devecchio. They even put him in that 'Fear City' show.
Testa was very loyal to scarfo, who phil had considered to be just like a blood brother. And i do believe, that when Nicky had mudered testa, it instantly changed phils opinions regarding his homicidal uncle from that point on.
It blows my mind how well Patrick does his research before these interviews. He talks with the interviewees as if he knows them personally and was there with them while these stories were taking place.
That's because he reads they books & I'm pretty sure he watches they lil documentaries they be having on them on RUclips or on the history channel or national geographic 💪🏽I live pats interviews 💯🗣️💪🏽
I'm from Philadelphia and know a great deal about the mob and let me tell you... Mafia Prince is one of, if not, the best book I've ever read about the mob. Pick it up and read it. Shocked that there hasn't been a movie made about the Philly mob.
I read it awhile ago and agree. There's also an audiobook of it on RUclips if you want something to listen to while working or doing other things (washing dishes, etc.).
I grew up in South Philly.70's and 80's.PENROSE Avenue.I went to Vare Jr.High School and Southern.Hung at the Lakes.Walking by G.C.MURPHY'S on 20th and Oregon by Mosconi's pool hall. Then walking through the park past The Chicken Man's blowed up porch.Bodies was being found EVERYWHERE back then.I remember a Leonetti funeral parlor down from Bambi Cleaners and Methodist Hospital on Broad street.Oh'yeah.I remember those days---
i just finished listening to the audio and ordered the book, i absolutely loved every bit of it and didnt want it to end . im not even asked about the movie because it isnt gonna beat the book.
Me personally , I thought this was one of the more interesting mob interviews to date . I actually already listened to Phil’s book narrated . It’s a gem
All the money in the world isn’t worth the stress and anxiety of looking over your shoulder every day, whether it’s because of law enforcement or a bullet in the head.
I can tell you this: in the US Military I came across several “leaders” that didn’t deserve personal loyalty. They were in it for themselves personally. They would even set their subordinates up for the fall. Incredible. So, I can see why people like Sammy and Phil did what they did. Loyalty does go both ways.
Sami is a piece of shit 💩 Gotti never betrayed on Sammy, Sammy used Gotti all those years. Gotti badmouthed everyone (the exception of Chin gigante) and it was part of his character, he didn’t had bad intentions. he saw that sammy kills everybody and steals their money and doesn't give anything to anyone, remember that the tapes was recorded in 1988 and Sammy at that time was consigliere and in 89 he became the underboss, so there was no danger to Sammy from gotti. Gravano is a serial killer without any conscience or remorse. Someone who killed his own brother-in-law and a innocent 16-year-old kid just because he was afraid that the kid would maybe testify (Mikey Scars said the same thing). He’s an evil person. He’s a liar
As a military retiree reference your comment that’s because the military doesn’t have many leaders it has managers BUT most play mind games and are garbage.
Out of all these ex-mob guys interviews i feel like Phil Leonetti and Michael Franzese are the ones telling the truth and not lying to make themselves sound tough. Ralph Natale was without a doubt talking out his ass and i didnt believe a word he said.
Cant wait for the full interview. A lot of the story Phil's telling is in his book. That book is one of the best I've read, details of the life in every aspect. Definitely worth a read, RUclips has the audio version but its split into 5 or 6 video's if you dont like to read. Great job Valuetainment, nobody getting interviews like you guy's. Keep up the great work
i only just discovered this interviewer 2 days ago.... wow! I've been hooked waaaay past my bedtime and this is another Fantastic interview Ride. Definitely makes me want EVERY single book.
it takes a certain amount of mob street wise knowledge to survive society nowadays, those which haven't come to realize this lead very sheltered lives no offense.
KING PATRICK. Amazing interview. Now try and get a interview with Joe Massino. The Bannono boss who flipped. They used to call him the last Don. He even planned the hit on the 3 captains. He’s in witness protection now. You can doit champ.
Don't think that'll ever happened any time soon. Just the same as Sammy and Phil, give it about 10 years maybe then it's possible that he'll do a RUclips interview (If he's even alive by then.)
This is funny. My Grandfather was a Philadelphia cop. He had a lot of money. That is all I will say. Hell, that's all I CAN say because I do not know any more. But he retired one bridge over from Atlantic City, in a town called Margate. Being his namesake, he used to take me out to the bar with him. He would get a Bloody Mary, I would get a Pepsi and we'd belly up to the bar together. This is when he would teach me the facts of life. I was 5, 6, 7 years old and learning from Pop how he and I were going to "beat the system." He called me hids "little constituent." Phil talking about having the same experience in Atlantic City just brought back some awesome memories.
@Michael Ronga that's just not true ... Scarfo was a lunatic, but he definitely wasn't stupid. He was smart to know how to cater to the right people, specifically the New York bosses.
Out of all the informants turned youtube stars, I find Phil to be one of the most believable. Him and Franzese never change their stories and admit when they didn't know someone. The "others" knew everyone and killed everyone, made the most money etc.
Suggestion box: Would like to see an interview conducted with Jerry Capeci, America's foremost expert on Organized Crime. As an investigative journalist he can talk about a variety of topics, dispelling urban myths repeated throughout mob history, the current climate and who's who of today's Cosa Nostra, etc. I think it would make for an interesting interview.
Who’s who of todays cosa nostra? You think a journalist is gonna start naming current mob guys for youtube and not face consequences lol come on Buddy be smarter than that.
@@santinorocco497 You obviously don't know who Jerry Capeci is. He does what you claim will be consequences over for a living every month with his ganglandnews website. BTW-This is the United States of America. We're not living in Sicily. Journalists are never targeted. You're watching too many Mafia movies. Real guys that ratted are walking around openly and have podcasts. Let me know when any of them face any consequences, since you know so much.
@White boy Wild No he doesn't. Jerry has been around way longer than Junior and doing his thing since before Junior was made. Jerry goes back to the mid '70s when he crashed Carlo Gambino's funeral. Capeci probably wouldn't even agree to ever sit down with Valuetainment.
Phil always strikes me as a guy who would never have gravitated toward a life of crime without his familial relationship. He's articulate, well-thought-out, and overcome by a sense of duty. It's hard to have a chance when your only male role model is Nicky Scarfo.
In his book, when he tells the story of his new life, you get the picture of a very intelligent and competent business man. Plus his extreme heartfelt loyalty to his family: his grandmother, mother, son, his wife Maria. Astounding.
I wasn’t sure what to expect when I clicked, thinking it might be very cheesy, but I must be honest, that was a truly excellent interview! Honest, forthright, good questions, good answers. Phil seems very articulate and intelligent, and genuinely remorseful of his life choices at the time. I hope he is at peace with himself.
As with most of them, "a stone cold killer", was my biggest takeaway. Phil certainly worked with brutal people from a young age including his sociopathic uncle Scarfo, but it is interesting how some mafia guys don't even curse and sound almost normal other than discussing all the murders. I'm glad he got out and as far away as possible with his family, not an easy thing to do in that life.
I think Phil was a product of his environment more than anything. He was born in a poor mafia-infested area, with wiseguys for relatives... his father, uncles, cousins etc were all made or associated with the mob... so it would have been very easy for him to fall into that life.
This interview hit really close to home. I was young but I remember seeing Phil around in South Philly from time to time. Always heard he was a good guy but was more or less forced into the life. Used to see a lot of the gangsters on the block. For those of you that don’t know, South Philly was always predominately an Italian, Irish & German neighborhood and each “descent” pretty much lived on their own blocks. Growing up we looked out for each other and we never really had to worry about anything. You could’ve went to bed with the doors unlocked and the windows wide open and never had a problem in a million years. That’s how it was then. Different story nowadays - Great interview really enjoyed it!
Having listened to 'Mafia Prince' by Phil Leonetti on Audiobook, I can concur that this is arguably one of the best Mafia related biographies released. Phil was very frank and honest about his life as a mobster. Furthermore, the interview conducted in this profile was excellent. Great work and very insightful. Thank you ;)
cgab12 Yea and then get paranoid when a talented person comes along, because they feel like the have the same mentality as them. How Testa got killed/ fired lol

Of fuck yes you still can but not here in America. You'll get pinched before you get to any decent money levels with organized crime. Go to the yt channel "The Mob Reporter" & you'll see the Europe gangsters busted with millions. In America it's too technologically advanced to get very far.
Yeah I agree, he doesn't glamorize the life and he didn't dance around his deeds like Michael Francese who when asked about killing someone, always danced around the question. He was straightforward, honest.
Gianni Russo cut Phil's trigger finger at his making ceremony. Then took him to a celebratory lunch with Sinatra. And then a White House dinner with President Reagan.
I think theres more to it that Phil doesnt want to talk about. In Phils book he goes and sees his grandma in 1996, while in 1996 Phil did an NBC interview right on the boardwalk in disguise. He omitted that part from his book too.
It’s cause Patrick is a horrible interviewer. You can tell he never read the book and was reading notes from a staff member. He didn’t know simply times and big murders, when they happened, who did what, nothing. Instead we got to hear him ramble on about the fucking movie Primal Fear for fucking 3mins when he could of said, “did Nicky have two sides to him he would show?” And say, “interesting....” every two seconds.
Fantastic interview. At first, I was turned off because I couldn’t see his face, made it one sided and less personal. But, you can feel the sincerity and the story is fascinating. Patrick, I’m a huge fan and love your style and what you do.
Only reason he got out that life is because he got caught and he didn't want to go to prison for life. So he snitched but before he got caught by the feds , he was a murderer and at one second in charge little Nicky underboss
One thing I’ve learned from watching all these mobster interviews is that every single one of them remembers the name of every person they’ve ever associated with. 30,40 years later.
Goodfella I don’t think so. This is what they did all day. They’re not like civilians that have different facets of life and too many things to remember. They had just one thing to do and think about all day. Doing mob things and killing people. Also when you kill people it’s not easy to get over the memory.
He even named his son in memory of salvie testa you can actually feel his pain from his language and how he changed the pic from the tablet he can't even look to his photos phill must blame his self for letting that happen what a sick fck nicky was
came back after reading Mafia Prince. can't get enough of this guy.... such a crazy and interesting life. book is more or less just a long ass interview but a good read. highly recommend it.
One part of that great book that is burned into me is when Scarfo had Falcone killed and they were lifting him in the trunk and Scarfo was a little tipsy from a few drinks exclaimed “ I love this”..just so chilling and goes to show how off he was
@@TomOostenrijk According to George Anastasia, Dave Schratweiser and the little stuff Sammy the Bull says, 95% of what Phil says is true. Most of the Philly Mob stuff was public anyway so it would be somewhat impossible to lie about that stuff.
Phil really comes off as a sincere man. He lived a hard life because of his uncle. Iam glad that he is doing well and is living a good honest life away from the mafia. I send him my love and respect
It’s funny when, after he sees the picture of Salvie Testa he gets really emotional and he can’t look at his face so he swipes it away and the next picture is Vincent Falcone, one of the guys he killed wrapped up in a rug and he just goes, “he was no good ha ha” 😂🤣

Great interview. I grew up in Philly and consider myself a Philly mob historian. By far best Leonetti interview ever..Interviews are so much better when the guy asking questions has done his homework..I actually learned a few things here. And I've read every book/ article...Great job
I never expected Phil to do any more interviews EVER. Really underrated video this is, not many views unfortunately even if it is a huge milestone. One thing I miss off it, David not asked his opinion on Hoffa
I'm so glad this interview came out. Those philly guys were crazy between Harry the hunchback being under 5ft, having a 20 year old girlfriend & running a family to guys like sal testa killed for absolutely no reason at all. The Philly mob guys are not spoke about often but have quite the interesting history!
Salvie buried himself. Yes, everyone had their motives (guys around Salvie stood to profit from his books/ rackets), Phil had less competition, same with Scarfo, but bottom line Salvie killed himself. Why? Because Salvie was dating Maria, and it was widely known Salvie was dating another hot chick (which he left Maria for). Don’t forget, Maria was the Underboss’s daughter (Chuckie Merlino) who was a killer. That’s not a smart move. And Chuckie took it as a personal insult.
My uncle is now in his eighties and grew up in Philly. Some of the kids he grew up with became mobsters and when he would go back home he would sometimes see some of these guys. They would ask uncle Jerry "hey Jerry ya need anything?" "Anything I can do for ya?" Uncle Jerry would be like uh no thanks man I'm good...just don't wanna get mixed up with these wise guys.
This was one of the best interviews I've ever seen..Phil was so honest , as ruthless as he was ..you can see how a kid at the age of 17 literally trapped in the lifestyle by his uncle with no way out...I'm covinced if he defied his uncle at any point ...he would have been killed
SUPER interview! The way Phil talks about his life is amazing to listen to. He was groomed for this and the story just sort of flows from him witout hesitation. I always have to laugh when people ask if these Italians with $$ are flashy with big homes, cars etc. Old school Italians are wood paneling, velvety furniture covered in plastic, polly-o quart containers as "tupperware" and an IMACULATE yard stoned with few statues.
@@samgaudino1698 funny cause in Blood and Honor and in George Fresloni’s book they both said Phil was pushing Joey Pung to get the Salvie murder done. Saying, “I’m sick of seeing his face”
@@Stonewall29 I think it was more they just wanted it done. It's been implied by George Anastasia and others that most guys didn't want to kill Salvie but had no choice. It's not like they could say no. And it's not like they could tell New York Nick was acting crazy because they wouldn't care. 2 bosses were killed in a span of a year because guys thoughts they could kill their way to the top. New York wouldn't back them. They just wanted to done to please Nicky. Joey Pung was Salvie's best friend but to save their own ass if they had to kill him then he had to go. Simple as that. The emotion of it all came later. Most consider that and Mark Scarfo hanging himself as probably the turning point for most guys in the organization. Sammy the Bull has dropped hints that the Philly guys were on edge with Nicky similar to how he was with John Gotti.
@andre jones Then BADA BOOM BOOM maybe!. Uc if it wasn't for phils murderous psycho uncle, then maybe phil could had became a proud NBA athlete, while srill in his prime.
Good interview. This was a nice surprise to find on a Saturday night during lockdown when I'm running out of quality stuff to watch. Mafia prince is a great read. Phil seems like he had a different mob experience than many because of his relationship to his Uncle and how violent and paranoid he was. Philadelphia during the Scarfo era was out of control violent. The Salvie Testa murder was a terrible idea and seems like it took the wind out of everyone in the family's sails. Everyone realized Scarfo was just a maniac and would kill anyone for anything.
Me too. I couldn't believe it! But it just wasn't what I really really wanted from him. Most of what he talked about. He wrote about. Or written about him. So it was like a rehash. Plus Pat kept talking. I wanted Phil to rant
@@MoejiiOsmanTV Agree. He ran it like a business and there wasn't constant bloodshed. It seems like the mobsters of the late 70s thru 80s were a new breed. Too much bloodshed including the New York mob. It just got out of control.

Very true real version of the Philly mob in the 70’s and 80’s . Those guys were tough and ruthless. They didn’t chase after stars or celebrities , they had their own thing, this was probably the best description of that life I’ve ever heard.
Philly as a city always had its own thing. They don’t dickeat

@@scottchicago95 😂😂😂
You dont forget killing people. Lol
It’s because they live a very dangerous life and are always on edge so it’s important to remember every detail… it’s like if you had a big exam every week, so when you study, your brain has to retain every detail because of the big test at the end of the week…
Most people live uninteresting lives, they can’t tell you what they did last week, it’s not important… but if they were in a fight, they might remember every detail leading up to and after the fight!
I'm surprised these old guys can remember dates as well. They have to have a higher than normal iq. Not genius level but higher than normal.

I can tell you this: in the US Military I came across several “leaders” that didn’t deserve personal loyalty. They were in it for themselves personally. They would even set their subordinates up for the fall. Incredible. So, I can see why people like Sammy and Phil did what they did. Loyalty does go both ways.
Sami is a piece of shit 💩
Gotti never betrayed on Sammy, Sammy used Gotti all those years.

I was 5, 6, 7 years old and learning from Pop how he and I were going to "beat the system." He called me hids "little constituent."
Phil talking about having the same experience in Atlantic City just brought back some awesome memories.

The Gotti’s (Gotti Sr) was the worst thing to ever happen to the mafia. Degenerate gambler who was the downfall.

Astounding.

As with most of them, "a stone cold killer", was my biggest takeaway. Phil certainly worked with brutal people from a young age including his sociopathic uncle Scarfo, but it is interesting how some mafia guys don't even curse and sound almost normal other than discussing all the murders. I'm glad he got out and as far away as possible with his family, not an easy thing to do in that life.
its also interesting to see that phil also doesn't abuse alcohol, hates drugs and is a family man who cares for his kids and wife.
I think Phil was a product of his environment more than anything. He was born in a poor mafia-infested area, with wiseguys for relatives... his father, uncles, cousins etc were all made or associated with the mob... so it would have been very easy for him to fall into that life.
He is also a pathological liar he was just as jealous of Salvi and wanted him dead he ratted because he couldn't do time
Phil is an amazing man to have survived living his life in the mob. I wish him all the best.
An amazing man who killed people and was in the mob? Y’all are delusional.
I can't believe Patrick never asked him about when he came back home because his grandmother was sick. One of the best parts of the book.

One part of that great book that is burned into me is when Scarfo had Falcone killed and they were lifting him in the trunk and Scarfo was a little tipsy from a few drinks exclaimed “ I love this”..just so chilling and goes to show how off he was
You mean the one sitting on the table in front of him during the whole interview. Lucky you told us 🤦🤦
@@TomOostenrijk According to George Anastasia, Dave Schratweiser and the little stuff Sammy the Bull says, 95% of what Phil says is true.
He murdered 10 people and lived a kings life on the backs of others, a choice he made, not his uncle.
He murdered 10 people and avoided life sentence.
@@scottstewart316not that it really matters but they killed other gangsters...not innocent ppl with 9-5 jobs.
Your gullible
It’s funny when, after he sees the picture of Salvie Testa he gets really emotional and he can’t look at his face so he swipes it away and the next picture is Vincent Falcone, one of the guys he killed wrapped up in a rug and he just goes, “he was no good ha ha” 😂🤣
Haha i read this before i saw it and was waiting the whole time. Had me dying when it finally happened haha
@@justinjackson7688 this interview, aside from being very dark and emotional at times was also really fuckin funny... like when he says him and his uncle we’re gonna kill a guy at the casino just to break balls 😂🤣
@@BostonsF1nest i love at the end he's talking about how its hard today for crime because of cameras and phones and he says "today its hard to even kill a guy" haha

Such a good interview. The book is amazing too.
Great interview. I grew up in Philly and consider myself a Philly mob historian. By far best Leonetti interview ever..Interviews are so much better when the guy asking questions has done his homework..I actually learned a few things here. And I've read every book/ article...Great job
Me too bud...
Great book guys, I would definitely recommend buying it.
Is Dominick Montiglio from the DeMeo crew still around? I would love to see an update on him next if possible.
Health wise, Dominick is very sick. He was a long time patient at the Veterans Hospital in Brooklyn, NY
Demeo crew was the most interesting of all
@Sling Blade exactly
Patrick is a moron, yes or no? Got it!
Eric Arthur-Blair yes he is. I looked him up and apparently he's still alive, he's about 73 years old now.
Very well done. This was a very impactful interview. Thanks for posting👍
Sammy Gravano said once Phil flipped he knew it was over Phil knew a lot about Philly and New York he was just waiting for the other shoe to drop.
I was actually surprised that they didnt talk about the mini war between riccobeni faction and scarfo faction
johnny g that doesn’t justify murdering him

Actually he is a bad interviewer. Talks too much and it seems like he doesn't understand phil often, he doesn't listen

You can tell he is still afraid till now.
Without a doubt. He came off arrogant when I listened to his book but not in this interview. So here, I see more of how he was groomed into the life.
Honest? I would just not go that far, its so dangerous to take it like that...now thibk about it for a second...

Get DOMINICK MONTIGLIO and interview him about the Demeo Crew! That would be insane! And if you can't get him, Get Albert Demeo, Roy's Demeo's son.

This was one of the realist interviews, I think. A lot of emotion from Phil.
He misses Salvie and his cousin
Phil leonetti never had the makings of a varsity athlete....
But I understand that he was a hella good "BASKET BALL ATHLETE" while at philly high school tho.

Hell no!
When Bruno got killed that was the e d of the Philly mob
@@MoejiiOsmanTV Agree. He ran it like a business and there wasn't constant bloodshed. It seems like the mobsters of the late 70s thru 80s were a new breed. Too much bloodshed including the New York mob. It just got out of control.
What prison are you in Derek Gabrys
I'm not in prison. Just someone who is fascinated with mafia and organized crime books, movies, tv, vids, etc.
Joey Merlino is one of the nicest guys. Not saying he isn’t still a gangster but he’s a solid dude. For this guy to speak so lowly of him when he only knew him when he was basically a teenager is ridiculous.
Cause Joey is a stand up man that never told, Joey is the true product of those stand up old timers like his father Chuckie & Nicky Scarfo‼️regardless of there deeds on the streets when it came time to bite the bullet they did just that, stood up in court took the time on the chin like a man & never opened there mouth both died in prison, regardless how u feel right or wrong or what opinion u have of them personally you can’t do nothing but respect how they handled the pressure when they’re time came & that’s the truth, these guys all say the same shit when they cooperate & snitch, “I was double crossed”, “they were gonna kill me”, “they were gonna snitch on me first so I saved myself”, “I realized I didn’t want to live that life anymore I’m a changed man god was speaking to me” etc etc ‼️ but truth is they all changed when those cuffs hit there wrists or when they were facing that time then all of a sudden they became god fearing men, bunch of bullshit from narcissistic men , they simply cowared when the pressure came & seen a easy way out through cooperating with the feds, they weren’t man enough to face the consequences of there actions‼️ Joey will always be a stand up man & can walk anywhere in Philly with his head up instead of these guys who have to live in fear in hiding in the middle of nowhere with fake names & altered appearance they can’t even live there life how god intended them to look damn shame if u ask me.. talks bad about joey cause he can’t stand that joey made it out & kept his honor intact & can walk freely in the neighborhood he grew up in & gets love from every child, man, women & elders in the city & luckily by the grace of god he’s here today being one of the very few who can reap those benefits of standing tall through it all regardless what this hidden coward leonetti says he will never be 10% the man Joey is most people never heard of Phil leonetti for a reason & he will be forgotten but everyone in Philly knows & loves Joey & he will be always remembered as well as his father & Nicky‼️👌🏼 Joey is the last of a dying breed he is doing very well & now making millions the legal way enjoying every moment of it 🫡👌🏼
