Great video. I always learn something from you. I saw the video of the sunfish you found on the beach. I saw a similar sunfish one time in Pensacola, Florida from my kayak. It swam right up next to me. Amazing fish.
@@AndrewNewton It was for sure! I had never heard of or seen these before. I had to google it when I got back. Huge eyes but very slow moving and calm. 😌
Nice one Andrew! I’ve got this from them too and now I’m motivated to build this wing! Will sacrifice the penguins fc board tho :) didn’t fly the penguin much, for me the dolphin was the best plane from them so far. Also love flying the arwing pro and am curious to see where this one fits it (and if it will be flown regular from me then ;). Speedy action FPV wing with maybe just DJI vista in it, and the occasional peanut cam on it I suppose ;) greets, Mario
Nice flight demonstration Andrew. It did seem to be unstable at slow speed. At moderate speed it seemed very stable. I agree about the need to have more forward battery space to get the CG. Thanks for the mention as well ;-)
Few years ago I owned first version of the wing. It was fast by design, but weak on high speeds. Also I had permanent problems with balancing it. So, this is great, but I don’t recommend if you fly aggressively.
@@AndrewNewton Sorry mate, ancient computer and social media non-compos here. Where exactly is that? I see that there is some stuff up courtesy of Aunty. 😉😊
Tip stalled in the LH turn, very clearly...No washout moulded into the wing tip sections. This, coupled with insufficient wing sweepback. Common design flaws on Chinese wings of this type. They never seem to learn IMO... Beautiful day though Andrew, that grass looks tinder dry....🤔😏😀🇬🇧
@user-otzlixr Washout is basically twist in the wing out at the wingtips only. This presents the wingtip part of the wing at a lesser angle of attack, thus preventing tip stalling and spinning in like in the video...The Dolphin is in a different league in terms of design. This wing is a pos IMO....lol...😏😏😀🇬🇧
Theer Bat? Humph. My mate Simon designed a flying beer mat [Tetley bitter] back in the '90s; we built two and used them for RC combat, towing 30' paper streamers. Noisy, messy, and very silly, but a good laugh on a frosty Sunday morning. Then off to the pub for a liquid lunch and a spirited discussion on the finer points of laminar flow and boundary layer adhesion in flat aerofoils and having to be restrained from duffing up the pub's ancient tabby cat for looking at me in a funny way...
Ordered the RTH and an f405 Navi Mini for another project. Only received the PNP version and the extra f405 Navi wasn't included. No response from AtomRC on emails or in the chat on their website. Basically they took my 203 euro and sent me 99 worth of unassembled foam and electronics. Their customer service is a joke apparently and they basically owe me money now.
I wonder if AtomRC just thought they needed a Wing in their manifesto of planes ? I've loads of Wings and cant really see anything special about this one - not enough to make me even consider buying one
I agree. I find it annoying that a lot of these wings need an action cam or massive nose weight to make COG. In the past I have taken a knife to them so I can move the battery forward. Now I just don't buy them.
Those sunfish always prompts an “RCA Dog” masters voice reaction.
Hi Andrew, didn't see the Sunfish you mentioned. Those are such fascinating looking animals indeed.
Enjoy your videos, many thanks and cheers 👍💪✌
As you mentioned it, I found it in your community tab.

That would have been a thrill

Hey Mario. I thing speedy FPV would suit this wing more than slow cruising, but looking forward to your opinion. I love the Swordfish and the Penguin.

Yes, can't quite trust it at slow speeds

What a beautiful day 😊
i like the fixed wing i need a new one to add to the collection
Nice.... You are special for us ...thank you
It's my pleasure
Loved the AR Wing Pro, throw it in the back of the car, a good performer, tough foamie, decent size, big payload.
I liked the original AR Wing best.
@@AndrewNewton : Absolutely Andrew...
You didn't get any photos of the Sunfish before it got too rank, Andrew?
Yes i posed beside it. I'll stick it in the community section.
@@AndrewNewton good, I'll have a look. Cheers.

This is just a re-release of an old design. AtomRC should be able to do better
@@AndrewNewton Guess so, talking of AtomRC...do you have a Dolphin yet? I'm about to build mine soon...😀

@@EnglishTurbines Yes, I reviewed the Dolphin about 3 yrs ago.

Wing combat with streamers is such mad fun

That could be it. I think their design team is capable of better than this

Can't really understand why anyone would buy this over the original S800 Reptile...🤔
Pass. Didn't like the AR Wing either - tried it.
I did like the original AR Wing for low fuss flying, but the C1 Chaser is the only wing I fly now.
