As soon as the first clip started I knew exactly what was gonna happen. I drive through that same area every day to work and that exact thing happens ALL THE TIME. People out here often seem to forget about the trailers they attach to their trucks and just drive like it's not there.
If that was my wife that got hit around the 3:30, insurance would be involved. Not necessarily car insurance, but that other guys dental insurance after he hit her and called her that name. He'd definitely need to check on the cost to get some teeth reinstalled 🤕.
If that was your wife then she'd be partially at fault too. She took it tight, inside lane took it wide but he was cutting into the inside lane when they hit. Look at 3:00, you can clearly see the inside laned truck was nowhere near her lane.
Your wife cut that a bit short but in the video the other guy clearly believes he's pulling a trailer making that ultra-wide turn. I'd make sure your insurance is aware.
@sarcasticguy4311 If you look at both vehicles when they are entering the intersection, the wife did not cut the turn short at all. The driver of the truck went way too far into the intersection before making his turn. At 2:57 you can see that his rear bumper has passed the stop line and his whole truck is in the intersection before he even starts his turn and that he is way to far away from the right curb to make that turn properly. He was just making a lazy turn. The real problem with that intersection is that with the limited space caused by the center median on the cross street and the overall size of those two streets it probably shouldn't be a double right.
